Glumački zvučni zid probijen je kao nikad prije. Probio ga je rom-com “Dan zaljubljenih“ ozvučen “pjesama koje volite i pjesmama koje volite voljeti“ te glumačkim “all-star“ ansamblom. Više od 15 zvučnih imena iz filma Garryja Marshalla (“Zgodna žena”) moglo bi komotno napučiti tucet rom-comova i isto toliko sit-comova. Opa, pa to su Jessica Biel i njezin partner iz “Stealtha“, Jamie Foxx! Evo i Jessice Albe!

Čekaj malo, Julia Roberts? Anne Hathaway? Jennifer Garner? Zar i Bradley Cooper?! Odgovor je potvrdan. Dodajte im još dvojicu protagonista “Ludih 70-ih“ (Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace), dva doktora iz “Uvoda u anatomiju“ (Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey), čak i dvoje Taylora, Lautner i Swift, za mlađe.

Za starije, angažirani su veterani Shirley MacLaine i Hector Elizondo, jer Marshall je napravio presjek svih mogućih vrsta ljubavi. Kako li je Marshall nagovorio glumce da se pojave u kolekciji romantičnih vinjeta, s likovima koji se zahvaljujući božanskim koincidencijama susreću, a njihove ljubavne priče kulminaciju doživljavaju na Valentinovo, ostat će tajna.

Možda odgovor leži i u Kutcherovoj rečenici “Valentinovo je, tada se ne razmišlja nego radi!“. Naime, teško da ih je privukao scenarij koji bezočno skida “short cuts“ strukturu remek-djela “Love Actually“ i ukorijenjen je u stereotipe prosječna rom-coma poput najboljih prijatelja koji ne shvaćaju da su nešto više od toga.

Ashton, kao vlasnik cvjećarne, utjelovljenje je klišeja, vječni romantik nasuprot kojeg usamljeno stoji tek valentinovski cinizam Foxxa koji će, jasno, popustiti kad ga pogodi Kupidova strelica. Film, dakle, počinje s Kutcherom kako (za)prosi Albu (“Pristala je!“). Njegova frendica Garner zaljubljena je u doktora Dempseyja ne znajući da je oženjen, a njezina prijateljica Biel tamani slatkiše i priprema “antivalentinovo party“.

Tu su Topher i Anne čija veza “ima potencijala“, zatim Shirley i Hector koji na Valentinovo žele “obnoviti zavjete“, njihov 10-godišnji unuk (već) zaljubljen u “onu pravu“... a iznad njih lete Julia i Bradley čiji bi se avion naizgled mogao zapaliti od romantičnih iskrica. Jedna je kritičarka zapisala kako bi nam Julia i Bradley mogli dodati “vrećice za povraćanje“ s obzirom na to koliko je film ljigav. To je malčice ipak pretjerano.

Nekoliko zgodnih uloga (prednjači Hathaway koja ekstra novac zarađuje telefonskim seksom, a pamtljivi su još barem Garner, Biel, Kutcher) i scena poput metafilmskog trenutka kad se 70-godišnja MacLaine zbližava s Elizondom dok se iza njih na platnu vrti romantični prizor iz njezina klasika “Hot Spell“ ilustriraju kakav je “Valentine’s Day“ mogao biti da se Marshall nije slijepo držao konzumerističkih prohtjeva. Ovako, darovao nam je (ukradeno) srce u jeftinoj bombonjeri.

Glumački zvučni zid probijen je kao nikad prije. Probio ga je rom-com “Dan zaljubljenih“ ozvučen “pjesama koje volite i pjesmama koje volite voljeti“ te glumačkim “all-star“ ansamblom. Više od 15 zvučnih imena iz filma Garryja Marshalla (“Zgodna žena”) moglo bi komotno napučiti tucet rom-comova i isto toliko sit-comova. Opa, pa to su Jessica Biel i njezin partner iz “Stealtha“, Jamie Foxx! Evo i Jessice Albe!

Čekaj malo, Julia Roberts? Anne Hathaway? Jennifer Garner? Zar i Bradley Cooper?! Odgovor je potvrdan. Dodajte im još dvojicu protagonista “Ludih 70-ih“ (Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace), dva doktora iz “Uvoda u anatomiju“ (Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey), čak i dvoje Taylora, Lautner i Swift, za mlađe.

Za starije, angažirani su veterani Shirley MacLaine i Hector Elizondo, jer Marshall je napravio presjek svih mogućih vrsta ljubavi. Kako li je Marshall nagovorio glumce da se pojave u kolekciji romantičnih vinjeta, s likovima koji se zahvaljujući božanskim koincidencijama susreću, a njihove ljubavne priče kulminaciju doživljavaju na Valentinovo, ostat će tajna.

Možda odgovor leži i u Kutcherovoj rečenici “Valentinovo je, tada se ne razmišlja nego radi!“. Naime, teško da ih je privukao scenarij koji bezočno skida “short cuts“ strukturu remek-djela “Love Actually“ i ukorijenjen je u stereotipe prosječna rom-coma poput najboljih prijatelja koji ne shvaćaju da su nešto više od toga.

Ashton, kao vlasnik cvjećarne, utjelovljenje je klišeja, vječni romantik nasuprot kojeg usamljeno stoji tek valentinovski cinizam Foxxa koji će, jasno, popustiti kad ga pogodi Kupidova strelica. Film, dakle, počinje s Kutcherom kako (za)prosi Albu (“Pristala je!“). Njegova frendica Garner zaljubljena je u doktora Dempseyja ne znajući da je oženjen, a njezina prijateljica Biel tamani slatkiše i priprema “antivalentinovo party“.

Tu su Topher i Anne čija veza “ima potencijala“, zatim Shirley i Hector koji na Valentinovo žele “obnoviti zavjete“, njihov 10-godišnji unuk (već) zaljubljen u “onu pravu“... a iznad njih lete Julia i Bradley čiji bi se avion naizgled mogao zapaliti od romantičnih iskrica. Jedna je kritičarka zapisala kako bi nam Julia i Bradley mogli dodati “vrećice za povraćanje“ s obzirom na to koliko je film ljigav. To je malčice ipak pretjerano.

Nekoliko zgodnih uloga (prednjači Hathaway koja ekstra novac zarađuje telefonskim seksom, a pamtljivi su još barem Garner, Biel, Kutcher) i scena poput metafilmskog trenutka kad se 70-godišnja MacLaine zbližava s Elizondom dok se iza njih na platnu vrti romantični prizor iz njezina klasika “Hot Spell“ ilustriraju kakav je “Valentine’s Day“ mogao biti da se Marshall nije slijepo držao konzumerističkih prohtjeva. Ovako, darovao nam je (ukradeno) srce u jeftinoj bombonjeri.
