Litva gradi zid prema Bjelorusiji i odbija iračke i afričke migrante koji prelaze granicu s Bjelorusijom, a bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko istodobno je vojsci i policiji zapovjedio da spriječe njihov povratak u Bjelorusiju, piše Jutarnji.

U utorak je Litva zaustavila 180 ljudi koji su pokušali ući u zemlju i poručila da zadržava pravo primjene sile kako bi zaustavila nelegalnu imigraciju. U srijedu je reagirala Europska unija, a dan poslije, u četvrtak, Lukašenko je svojim snagama zapovjedio da "zatvore svaki metar granice", tako da se migranti nisu mogli iz Litve vratiti u Bjelorusiju.

Optužili su Litvu da nastavlja prisiljavati migrante na prelazak bjeloruske granice i objavili da su onemogućili pokušaj "agresivnog uklanjanja osam migranata". Litva je u Bjelorusiju protjerala iračke imigrante pune ozljeda, optužuju Bjelorusi: među ostalim, imali su pseće ugrize, tako da su morali biti hospitalizirani. Minsk tvrdi da je jedan imigrant preminuo, no Litva to niječe.

Ilegalni prelasci

Od početka srpnja Litva se suočava s valom iračkih i afričkih migranata koji dolaze preko granice s Bjelorusijom. Dijeli ih 679 kilometara granice bez fizičkih prepreka. Litavski ministar vanjskih poslova Gabrielius Landsbergis pozvao je EU da pojača pritisak na Bjelorusiju i zemlje poput Iraka, odakle imigranti dolaze, upozoravajući da bi broj ilegalnih prelazaka mogao dosegnuti 10.000 do kraja ljeta. Od početka godine u Litvu je iz Bjelorusije ušlo 4090 migranata, a prošle godine njih 74.

Kako Litva ima samo 2,8 milijuna stanovnika, to je najveći broj migranata po stanovniku u EU, požalio se Landsbergis za Politico. Ovog je tjedna litavska policija objavila videosnimak napravljen iz zraka na kojem se vidi kako bjeloruske granične straže vode velike skupine imigranata do granice s Litvom. Dolazak imigranata intenzivirao se u srpnju: Fabrice Leggeri, izvršni direktor Frontexa, izjavio je da je od 1. siječnja do sredine srpnja bilo 1600 ilegalnih prelazaka iz Bjelorusije u Litvu, ali od toga polovica, oko 800, u prvom tjednu srpnja.

Smatra se da je to odmazda bjeloruskog predsjednika Aleksandra Lukašenka za europske sankcije, pooštrene zbog uhićenja disidenta u svibnju, odnosno zbog toga što su bjeloruske vlasti prisilile na slijetanje avion Ryanaira kako bi uhitile disidentskog novinara Romana Protaševiča i njegovu suputnicu Sofiju Sapegu. Europska unija pozvala je u srijedu bjeloruskog predstavnika u Bruxelles na razgovor o sporu na granici.

Lukašenko je nakon toga donio odluku o potpunoj kontroli granica. "Od danas nijedna osoba ne bi trebala kročiti na teritorij Bjelorusije, bilo s juga, bilo sa zapada", poručio je. Visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku Josep Borrell i s iračkim je dužnosnicima, među ostalim, razgovarao o ukidanju avionske linije od Bagdada do Minska, piše Jutarnji.

Politika ucjene

EU je poslao pomoć Litvi, a premijerka Ingrida Šimonytė najavila je gradnju zida na granici s Bjelorusijom.

Litavski ministar Gabrielius Landsbergis rekao je za Politico da Lukašenko koristi migrante kao političko oružje. Imigranti dolaze u Bjelorusiju s nekoliko letova dnevno iz Istanbula i Bagdada u Minsk. Zatim pokušavaju ilegalno prijeći granicu s Litvom kako bi zatražili azil u EU.

Šef Frontexa Fabrice Leggeri izjavio je da su prije u Bjelorusiju dolazili uglavnom migranti iz Iraka, Sirije i Irana, no od srpnja je tu velik broj afričkih državljana, uključujući migrante iz Konga, Gambije, Gvineje, Malija i Senegala. Lukašenkova vlast ohrabrivala je njihov dolazak pozivajući građane niza zemalja da bez vize dođu u Bjelorusiju kako bi se besplatno cijepili protiv koronavirusa.

Bjelorusija je tako pozvala državljane 73 zemlje da dođu u zemlju bez vize i ostanu najviše pet dana kako bi se cijepili protiv covida, rekao je Leggieri, šef europske agencije za kontrolu granica. Osim toga, Landsbergis tvrdi da Lukašenko pregovara o liberalizaciji viznog režima s Pakistanom i o uvođenju letova iz Islamabada, a priprema i slične sporazume s nizom afričkih zemalja. Litva smatra da je riječ o politici ucjene koju bi EU morao strogo sankcionirati.

Litva gradi zid prema Bjelorusiji i odbija iračke i afričke migrante koji prelaze granicu s Bjelorusijom, a bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko istodobno je vojsci i policiji zapovjedio da spriječe njihov povratak u Bjelorusiju, piše Jutarnji.

U utorak je Litva zaustavila 180 ljudi koji su pokušali ući u zemlju i poručila da zadržava pravo primjene sile kako bi zaustavila nelegalnu imigraciju. U srijedu je reagirala Europska unija, a dan poslije, u četvrtak, Lukašenko je svojim snagama zapovjedio da "zatvore svaki metar granice", tako da se migranti nisu mogli iz Litve vratiti u Bjelorusiju.

Optužili su Litvu da nastavlja prisiljavati migrante na prelazak bjeloruske granice i objavili da su onemogućili pokušaj "agresivnog uklanjanja osam migranata". Litva je u Bjelorusiju protjerala iračke imigrante pune ozljeda, optužuju Bjelorusi: među ostalim, imali su pseće ugrize, tako da su morali biti hospitalizirani. Minsk tvrdi da je jedan imigrant preminuo, no Litva to niječe.

Ilegalni prelasci

Od početka srpnja Litva se suočava s valom iračkih i afričkih migranata koji dolaze preko granice s Bjelorusijom. Dijeli ih 679 kilometara granice bez fizičkih prepreka. Litavski ministar vanjskih poslova Gabrielius Landsbergis pozvao je EU da pojača pritisak na Bjelorusiju i zemlje poput Iraka, odakle imigranti dolaze, upozoravajući da bi broj ilegalnih prelazaka mogao dosegnuti 10.000 do kraja ljeta. Od početka godine u Litvu je iz Bjelorusije ušlo 4090 migranata, a prošle godine njih 74.

Kako Litva ima samo 2,8 milijuna stanovnika, to je najveći broj migranata po stanovniku u EU, požalio se Landsbergis za Politico. Ovog je tjedna litavska policija objavila videosnimak napravljen iz zraka na kojem se vidi kako bjeloruske granične straže vode velike skupine imigranata do granice s Litvom. Dolazak imigranata intenzivirao se u srpnju: Fabrice Leggeri, izvršni direktor Frontexa, izjavio je da je od 1. siječnja do sredine srpnja bilo 1600 ilegalnih prelazaka iz Bjelorusije u Litvu, ali od toga polovica, oko 800, u prvom tjednu srpnja.

Smatra se da je to odmazda bjeloruskog predsjednika Aleksandra Lukašenka za europske sankcije, pooštrene zbog uhićenja disidenta u svibnju, odnosno zbog toga što su bjeloruske vlasti prisilile na slijetanje avion Ryanaira kako bi uhitile disidentskog novinara Romana Protaševiča i njegovu suputnicu Sofiju Sapegu. Europska unija pozvala je u srijedu bjeloruskog predstavnika u Bruxelles na razgovor o sporu na granici.

Lukašenko je nakon toga donio odluku o potpunoj kontroli granica. "Od danas nijedna osoba ne bi trebala kročiti na teritorij Bjelorusije, bilo s juga, bilo sa zapada", poručio je. Visoki predstavnik EU za vanjsku politiku Josep Borrell i s iračkim je dužnosnicima, među ostalim, razgovarao o ukidanju avionske linije od Bagdada do Minska, piše Jutarnji.

Politika ucjene

EU je poslao pomoć Litvi, a premijerka Ingrida Šimonytė najavila je gradnju zida na granici s Bjelorusijom.

Litavski ministar Gabrielius Landsbergis rekao je za Politico da Lukašenko koristi migrante kao političko oružje. Imigranti dolaze u Bjelorusiju s nekoliko letova dnevno iz Istanbula i Bagdada u Minsk. Zatim pokušavaju ilegalno prijeći granicu s Litvom kako bi zatražili azil u EU.

Šef Frontexa Fabrice Leggeri izjavio je da su prije u Bjelorusiju dolazili uglavnom migranti iz Iraka, Sirije i Irana, no od srpnja je tu velik broj afričkih državljana, uključujući migrante iz Konga, Gambije, Gvineje, Malija i Senegala. Lukašenkova vlast ohrabrivala je njihov dolazak pozivajući građane niza zemalja da bez vize dođu u Bjelorusiju kako bi se besplatno cijepili protiv koronavirusa.

Bjelorusija je tako pozvala državljane 73 zemlje da dođu u zemlju bez vize i ostanu najviše pet dana kako bi se cijepili protiv covida, rekao je Leggieri, šef europske agencije za kontrolu granica. Osim toga, Landsbergis tvrdi da Lukašenko pregovara o liberalizaciji viznog režima s Pakistanom i o uvođenju letova iz Islamabada, a priprema i slične sporazume s nizom afričkih zemalja. Litva smatra da je riječ o politici ucjene koju bi EU morao strogo sankcionirati.

Litva gradi zid prema Bjelorusiji i odbija iračke i afričke migrante koji prelaze granicu s Bjelorusijom, a bjeloruski predsjednik Aleksandar Lukašenko istodobno je vojsci i policiji zapovjedio da spriječe njihov povratak u Bjelorusiju, piše Jutarnji.

U utorak je Litva zaustavila 180 ljudi koji su pokušali ući u zemlju i poručila da zadržava pravo primjene sile kako bi zaustavila nelegalnu imigraciju. U srijedu je reagirala Europska unija, a dan poslije, u četvrtak, Lukašenko je svojim snagama zapovjedio da "zatvore svaki metar granice", tako da se migranti nisu mogli iz Litve vratiti u Bjelorusiju.

Optužili su Litvu da nastavlja prisiljavati migrante na prelazak bjeloruske granice i objavili da su onemogućili pokušaj "agresivnog uklanjanja osam migranata". Litva je u Bjeloru...
