Stigle su nove zastave država.

Narastao je njihov broj na 70. Sa svih kontinenata. Nakon prijave nastupa svaki sudionik se za uspomenu slika s nacionalnom zastavom ispred panoa turnira, Dubrovnik Dub Bowla.

- Gotovo 200 mališana u dvije kategorije, do 11 i do 13 godina. Opet imamo mališane sa svih šest kontinenata – istaknuli su iz Tenis centra Dubrovnik i Tenis kluba Ragusa, organizatora turnira.

Kad su zaključene prijave, bilo je jasno kako je pet terena u Gospinom polju malo, te će se igati na još dvije lokacije u Dubrovniku, na terenima u Uvali Lapad, te na Babinom Kuku.

Barović: Ucrtali smo Dubrovnik na tenisku kartu 

Slika s Dubrovnik DuB Bowl je odavno otputovala u svijet. Već je njegovo drugo izdanje nagrađenom nazivom ‘neslužbeno prvenstvo svijeta’. Nema tko se ne sjeća slike: u stolici međunarodni sudac, službeni spiker, koji najavljuje sudionike završnice i čita njihove rezultate do finala. Plus sakupljači loptica te nešto što se ne viđa često vidjeti na teniskim turnirima: najmlađi nose torbe s reketima finalisti(ca)ma.

Možda to ne bi bilo toliko spektakularno da je riječ o Mastersu ili jednom od četiri Grand Slam turnira, međutim, to je slika iz Gospina polja kad se igra završnica Dubrovnik Dub Bowla. Već do finala je napravljeno dosta toga što je običaj vidjeti na najvećim svjetskim turnirima.

- Opet će svi sudionici imati priliku razgledati znamenitosti Dubrovnika, slikati se na Stradunu (milenijska fotografija), te zaigrati tenis na najpoznatijoj dubrovačkoj ulici. Kad smo počeli, rekli smo, možda će jednog dana netko od sudionika našeg turnira biti u prilici doživjeti to isto na najvećim svjetskim turnirima. Vjerujem kako će se tad sjetiti kako je na početku svoje karijere to doživio u Dubrovniku – rekao je Pasko Barović, direktor turnira.

Već godinama u Dubrovnik stižu državni prvaci.

- Kad smo počeli, a bilo je to 2013. cilj je bio napraviti nešto veliko za uzrast djevojčica i dječaka do 11 godina i ucrtati na tu tenisku kartu svijeta Dubrovnik. Nema tko nije dao sve od sebe u TK Ragusa i Tenis centru Dubrovnik kako bi što bolje organizirali turnir. Naravno, kad nešto radiš, nadaš se kako će ispasti sve najbolje. Priželjkivali smo da interes djece bude velik, ali nitko nije očekivao kako ćemo već na drugom izdanju turnira imati dva i pol puta više sudionika. Igrala su tada djeca iz 19 zemalja svijeta. Bilo je 60 tenisačica i tenisača više nego prve godine kada su tu bila djeca iz sedam država. To je bio dodatni motiv da iduće godine budemo još bolji. Treća godina je u odnosu na drugu bila duplo bolja – dodao je Barović.

Turnir su prepoznala su i velika imena u svijetu tenisa. Brad Gilbert, koji je obilježio karijeru neponovljivog Andrea Agassija slao je već na turnir svoga najboljeg igrača. Dolazile su igračice koje su imale uspjeha u ovom uzrastu na Orange Bowlu.

- Napravili smo sve kao što je na najvećim svjetskim turnirima u seniorskoj konkurenciji.

Priznat će Barović kako su u početku priželjkivali približiti se brojkama koje imaju turniri za najmlađe s dugom tradicijom. Govorili su tada kako za sve treba vremena te ako budu i upola tako uspješni kao drugi, da će biti zadovoljni. Računajući na to radili su noć i dan, razmišljali kao da su organizatori najvećih svjetskih turnira.

Najbrže rastući turnir 

- Samo tako možemo uspjeti – isticali su.

Dubrovnik Dub Bowl je najbrže rastući turnir na svijetu.

- Nama je želja biti centar svjetskog tenisa za mlađe uzraste – istaknuo je Barović.

Nagrade najboljima znao je dijeliti Goran Ivanišević, nadaju se kako će navratiti i Marin Čilić...

- Kategorije do 11 i 13 godina dok mi s tim nismo počeli, nisu postojale u svijetu. Organiziramo događaje kako bi se ti mladi ljudi educirali o sportu. Uvijek nam je bila želja da svim igračima, njihovim obiteljima i trenerima Dubrovnik ostane u najljepšem sjećanju te da se jednog dana opet vrate na druge turnire, dosta jače, koje imamo u planu organizirati. Nama je želja da ovaj projekt jednog dana podignemo do turnira iz ATP ili WTA kalendara – naglasio je Barović.

Prvi mečevi počinju danas, a finala su u nedjelju. Čija slika će krastiti zid Tenis centra Dubrovnik u Gospinom polju, naći se pored slika svih dosadašnjih pobjednika?

Narastao je njihov broj na 70. Sa svih kontinenata. Nakon prijave nastupa svaki sudionik se za uspomenu slika s nacionalnom zastavom ispred panoa turnira, Dubrovnik Dub Bowla.

- Gotovo 200 mališana u dvije kategorije, do 11 i do 13 godina. Opet imamo mališane sa svih šest kontinenata – istaknuli su iz Tenis centra Dubrovnik i Tenis kluba Ragusa, organizatora turnira.

Kad su zaključene prijave, bilo je jasno kako je pet terena u Gospinom polju malo, te će se igati na još dvije lokacije u Dubrovniku, na terenima u Uvali Lapad, te na Babinom Kuku.

Barović: Ucrtali smo Dubrovnik na tenisku kartu 

Slika s Dubrovnik DuB Bowl je odavno otputovala u svijet. Već je njegovo drugo izdanje nagrađenom nazivom ‘neslužbeno prvenstvo svijeta’. Nema tko se ne sjeća slike: u stolici međunarodni sudac, službeni spiker, koji najavljuje sudionike završnice i čita njihove rezultate do finala. Plus sakupljači loptica te nešto što se ne viđa često vidjeti na teniskim turnirima: najmlađi nose torbe s reketima finalisti(ca)ma.

Možda to ne bi bilo toliko spektakularno da je riječ o Mastersu ili jednom od četiri Grand Slam turnira, međutim, to je slika iz Gospina polja kad se igra završnica Dubrovnik Dub Bowla. Već do finala je napravljeno dosta toga što je običaj vidjeti na najvećim svjetskim turnirima.

- Opet će svi sudionici imati priliku razgledati znamenitosti Dubrovnika, slikati se na Stradunu (milenijska fotografija), te zaigrati tenis na najpoznatijoj dubrovačkoj ulici. Kad smo počeli, rekli smo, možda će jednog dana netko od sudionika našeg turnira biti u prilici doživjeti to isto na najvećim svjetskim turnirima. Vjerujem kako će se tad sjetiti kako je na početku svoje karijere to doživio u Dubrovniku – rekao je Pasko Barović, direktor turnira.

Već godinama u Dubrovnik stižu državni prvaci.

- Kad smo počeli, a bilo je to 2013. cilj je bio napraviti nešto veliko za uzrast djevojčica i dječaka do 11 godina i ucrtati na tu tenisku kartu svijeta Dubrovnik. Nema tko nije dao sve od sebe u TK Ragusa i Tenis centru Dubrovnik kako bi što bolje organizirali turnir. Naravno, kad nešto radiš, nadaš se kako će ispasti sve najbolje. Priželjkivali smo da interes djece bude velik, ali nitko nije očekivao kako ćemo već na drugom izdanju turnira imati dva i pol puta više sudionika. Igrala su tada djeca iz 19 zemalja svijeta. Bilo je 60 tenisačica i tenisača više nego prve godine kada su tu bila djeca iz sedam država. To je bio dodatni motiv da iduće godine budemo još bolji. Treća godina je u odnosu na drugu bila duplo bolja – dodao je Barović.

Turnir su prepoznala su i velika imena u svijetu tenisa. Brad Gilbert, koji je obilježio karijeru neponovljivog Andrea Agassija slao je već na turnir svoga najboljeg igrača. Dolazile su igračice koje su imale uspjeha u ovom uzrastu na Orange Bowlu.

- Napravili smo sve kao što je na najvećim svjetskim turnirima u seniorskoj konkurenciji.

Priznat će Barović kako su u početku priželjkivali približiti se brojkama koje imaju turniri za najmlađe s dugom tradicijom. Govorili su tada kako za sve treba vremena te ako budu i upola tako uspješni kao drugi, da će biti zadovoljni. Računajući na to radili su noć i dan, razmišljali kao da su organizatori najvećih svjetskih turnira.

Najbrže rastući turnir 

- Samo tako možemo uspjeti – isticali su.

Dubrovnik Dub Bowl je najbrže rastući turnir na svijetu.

- Nama je želja biti centar svjetskog tenisa za mlađe uzraste – istaknuo je Barović.

Nagrade najboljima znao je dijeliti Goran Ivanišević, nadaju se kako će navratiti i Marin Čilić...

- Kategorije do 11 i 13 godina dok mi s tim nismo počeli, nisu postojale u svijetu. Organiziramo događaje kako bi se ti mladi ljudi educirali o sportu. Uvijek nam je bila želja da svim igračima, njihovim obiteljima i trenerima Dubrovnik ostane u najljepšem sjećanju te da se jednog dana opet vrate na druge turnire, dosta jače, koje imamo u planu organizirati. Nama je želja da ovaj projekt jednog dana podignemo do turnira iz ATP ili WTA kalendara – naglasio je Barović.

Prvi mečevi počinju danas, a finala su u nedjelju. Čija slika će krastiti zid Tenis centra Dubrovnik u Gospinom polju, naći se pored slika svih dosadašnjih pobjednika?
