Ivica Obrvan je proglašen najboljim hrvatskim trenerom u 2022. godini prije samo nekoliko tjedana u Poreču. Iza sebe ima bogatu igračku i trenersku karijeru, dok je posljednja postaja bio RK Zagreb u kojem se zadržao skoro pune dvije godine, što savršeno govori o dobrom poslu koji je radio. Rijetko se tko na toj vrućoj klupi zadrži tako dugo kao Obrvan, prije njega samo Veselin Vujović koji je dvaput sa Zagrebom posljednjih godina igrao četvrtfinale Lige prvaka, pišu Sportske novosti.

Ankete dosad ne sugeriraju da je Linci jedan od glavnih kandidata za izborničko mjesto nakon Horvata, ali je sasvim sigurno da su njegove reference vrlo jake, možda čak i najjače u ovom trenutku kada je u pitanju struka...

Kako Ivica Obrvan vidi aktualnu situaciju?

- Nije možda način izlaziti s ovim dok je aktualni izbornik još na funkciji. No, kako sam vidio da se određeni kandidati pojavljuju po medijima, te se čini se da je to s Horvatom završena priča, mislim da imam pravo reći da je ovaj sport moj život, da sam u njemu napravio dobre stvari i da su moji argumenti možda jači od svih ostalih u ovom trenutku. Ne vidim zašto ovo ne bi bilo vrijeme za taj iskorak.

Ponovio je:

- Ja sebe čitam kao jednog od kandidata za potencijalnog izbornika. Mislim da imam savršene reference, možda čak i ponajbolje za ono što sam radio, da sam u naponu snage trenerskog posla i mislim da mi onda te reference daju da se vidim kao jedan od najozbiljnijih, ako ne i najozbiljniji kandidat za izbornika.

Zašto to mislite?

- Imam određeni kontinuitet na visokoj razini i kao trener mogu reći da smo u posljednje dvije godine radili odličan posao u Zagrebu.

Zašto ste se razišli?

- Prije dva i pol mjeseca smo se zbog određenog zasićenja razišli, ali mogu reći da imam potencijalni uvid u stanje igrača i plan kako bi trebalo raditi. Mislim da bi u ovom trenutku po meni trebalo imati kostur koji bi bio od 24-25 ljudi koji bi u slučaju težih ozljeda ili nekih lošijih stvari trebali biti oni koji vrtimo u toj priči. Treba nam standardizacija, model i standard rada, okupljanja, sustava kojem težimo i znanje koji su to igrači koji su nam udarna linija. Ono što vidim da je u proteklom razdoblju prodefilirao ogroman igrača, ali da se ni u jednoj liniji reprezentacija nije standardizirala.

Dakle, niste pesimist?

- Dapače, potencijala ima puno, može se napraviti jedna jako potentna momčad i u sljedeće dvije godine sam siguran da bih mogao podići reprezentaciju na razinu igara i rezultata koji zaslužuje.

Zašto smo tako izgledali na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Švedskoj?

- Iz svog iskustva mogu reći mislim da nam je umjesto utakmice s Izraelom četiri dana prije Egipta i svega ostalog što je prethodilo trebala drugačija priprema i utakmica. To je sve usmjerilo nastup u Švedskoj. Imali smo Sloveniju, Mađarsku, Srbiju, susjede protiv kojih smo mogli vidjeti više. Da smo s takvom provjerom otišli na SP uvjeren sam da bi bilo drugačije, možda ne bismo izgubili devet od Egipta, nego 2-3 ako bismo već morali izgubiti.

Nadovezao se na prethodni odgovor.

- Kod Danske se to isto primijetilo u utakmici s nama. Za njih je to bila prva jaka utakmica nakon Saudijske Arabije u pripremama i loše grupe u prvom krugu. Mi smo im bili prvi ozbiljan protivnik i oni su koliko god dobri imali problema. Fokus je trebao biti više na tome. Analiza je s distance, što naravno ne može biti kao iz prve ruke, ali je mislim korektna.

Izgledi su nam bili dobri?

- Odlični, imali smo dobar ždrijeb, da se to prošlo kako je trebalo imali smo mogućnost otići u četvrtfinale. Nisam sklon pričati o pojedincima, ali ću spomenuti neke. Žao mi je da Klarica nije bio u Švedskoj, jer su bile četiri utakmice savršene za njega i njegov razvoj kao igrača. Naćinović koji dolazi iz jakog kluba, Montpelliera i jake francuske lige, pa da se Srna ozljedio, da su tu Lučin, Jaganjac, Ivanković, Marić, Šoštarić... Sve su to igrači koji se mogu iskoristiti u pozitivnom kontekstu. Uz viziju trenera hrvatski rukomet se može vratiti tamo gdje pripada. Da se borimo za medalje.

Niste spomenuli vratare?

- Spomenuo sam standardizaciju. Odluka je vjerojatno po trenutnoj formi zbog stanja Pešića i Šege. No, sigurno je da je to pitanje koje je možda i najviše goruće i da nam tu nam treba naviše stabilizacije. Tri ili maksimalno četiri golmana se moraju znati, dok smo mi počeli mijenjati od utakmice do utakmice, da akcije ni ne spominjem.

Morat će se brzo reagirati, nema puno vremena, već u ožujku nas čekaju kvalifikacije za Euro, već tada trebamo znati kojim ćemo pravcem krenuti.

- Ovo je više nego dovoljno vremena da se stvari postave na mjesto. Važno je samo da momčad zdravstveno bude OK i da određeni krug za koji se odlučimo imamo na raspolaganju. Treba obaviti razgovore, reći ideje, kontaktirati od prvog dana prije okupljanja sa svima da se odmah krene u jakom ritmu.

Obrvan je još jednom istaknuo:

- Osjećam se maksimalno spreman, smatram da ne zaostajem ni za kim, čak i da imam bolje reference, dok nisam nikad dobio priliku i ne vidim zašto ne bih sada. Sada kada možda i najviše dosad to očekujem.

Koliko vam je otežavajuća činjenica rastanka sa Zagrebom ne tako davno. Nije sve bilo u rezultatima?

- Prenaglašeno je sve to i ne bih previše potencirao. Je li takva slika dvije godine u Zagrebu bilo kada do prije kraja spominjana. Nije. Ako se potencira, to je samo negativa koja se nameće kao problem, a to sigurno nije - zaključio je Ivica Obrvan u razgovoru za Sportske novosti.

Ivica Obrvan je proglašen najboljim hrvatskim trenerom u 2022. godini prije samo nekoliko tjedana u Poreču. Iza sebe ima bogatu igračku i trenersku karijeru, dok je posljednja postaja bio RK Zagreb u kojem se zadržao skoro pune dvije godine, što savršeno govori o dobrom poslu koji je radio. Rijetko se tko na toj vrućoj klupi zadrži tako dugo kao Obrvan, prije njega samo Veselin Vujović koji je dvaput sa Zagrebom posljednjih godina igrao četvrtfinale Lige prvaka, pišu Sportske novosti.

Ankete dosad ne sugeriraju da je Linci jedan od glavnih kandidata za izborničko mjesto nakon Horvata, ali je sasvim sigurno da su njegove reference vrlo jake, možda čak i najjače u ovom trenutku kada je u pitanju struka...

Kako Ivica Obrvan vidi aktualnu situaciju?

- Nije možda način izlaziti s ovim dok je aktualni izbornik još na funkciji. No, kako sam vidio da se određeni kandidati pojavljuju po medijima, te se čini se da je to s Horvatom završena priča, mislim da imam pravo reći da je ovaj sport moj život, da sam u njemu napravio dobre stvari i da su moji argumenti možda jači od svih ostalih u ovom trenutku. Ne vidim zašto ovo ne bi bilo vrijeme za taj iskorak.

Ponovio je:

- Ja sebe čitam kao jednog od kandidata za potencijalnog izbornika. Mislim da imam savršene reference, možda čak i ponajbolje za ono što sam radio, da sam u naponu snage trenerskog posla i mislim da mi onda te reference daju da se vidim kao jedan od najozbiljnijih, ako ne i najozbiljniji kandidat za izbornika.

Zašto to mislite?

- Imam određeni kontinuitet na visokoj razini i kao trener mogu reći da smo u posljednje dvije godine radili odličan posao u Zagrebu.

Zašto ste se razišli?

- Prije dva i pol mjeseca smo se zbog određenog zasićenja razišli, ali mogu reći da imam potencijalni uvid u stanje igrača i plan kako bi trebalo raditi. Mislim da bi u ovom trenutku po meni trebalo imati kostur koji bi bio od 24-25 ljudi koji bi u slučaju težih ozljeda ili nekih lošijih stvari trebali biti oni koji vrtimo u toj priči. Treba nam standardizacija, model i standard rada, okupljanja, sustava kojem težimo i znanje koji su to igrači koji su nam udarna linija. Ono što vidim da je u proteklom razdoblju prodefilirao ogroman igrača, ali da se ni u jednoj liniji reprezentacija nije standardizirala.

Dakle, niste pesimist?

- Dapače, potencijala ima puno, može se napraviti jedna jako potentna momčad i u sljedeće dvije godine sam siguran da bih mogao podići reprezentaciju na razinu igara i rezultata koji zaslužuje.

Zašto smo tako izgledali na Svjetskom prvenstvu u Švedskoj?

- Iz svog iskustva mogu reći mislim da nam je umjesto utakmice s Izraelom četiri dana prije Egipta i svega ostalog što je prethodilo trebala drugačija priprema i utakmica. To je sve usmjerilo nastup u Švedskoj. Imali smo Sloveniju, Mađarsku, Srbiju, susjede protiv kojih smo mogli vidjeti više. Da smo s takvom provjerom otišli na SP uvjeren sam da bi bilo drugačije, možda ne bismo izgubili devet od Egipta, nego 2-3 ako bismo već morali izgubiti.

Nadovezao se na prethodni odgovor.

- Kod Danske se to isto primijetilo u utakmici s nama. Za njih je to bila prva jaka utakmica nakon Saudijske Arabije u pripremama i loše grupe u prvom krugu. Mi smo im bili prvi ozbiljan protivnik i oni su koliko god dobri imali problema. Fokus je trebao biti više na tome. Analiza je s distance, što naravno ne može biti kao iz prve ruke, ali je mislim korektna.

Izgledi su nam bili dobri?

- Odlični, imali smo dobar ždrijeb, da se to prošlo kako je trebalo imali smo mogućnost otići u četvrtfinale. Nisam sklon pričati o pojedincima, ali ću spomenuti neke. Žao mi je da Klarica nije bio u Švedskoj, jer su bile četiri utakmice savršene za njega i njegov razvoj kao igrača. Naćinović koji dolazi iz jakog kluba, Montpelliera i jake francuske lige, pa da se Srna ozljedio, da su tu Lučin, Jaganjac, Ivanković, Marić, Šoštarić... Sve su to igrači koji se mogu iskoristiti u pozitivnom kontekstu. Uz viziju trenera hrvatski rukomet se može vratiti tamo gdje pripada. Da se borimo za medalje.

Niste spomenuli vratare?

- Spomenuo sam standardizaciju. Odluka je vjerojatno po trenutnoj formi zbog stanja Pešića i Šege. No, sigurno je da je to pitanje koje je možda i najviše goruće i da nam tu nam treba naviše stabilizacije. Tri ili maksimalno četiri golmana se moraju znati, dok smo mi počeli mijenjati od utakmice do utakmice, da akcije ni ne spominjem.

Morat će se brzo reagirati, nema puno vremena, već u ožujku nas čekaju kvalifikacije za Euro, već tada trebamo znati kojim ćemo pravcem krenuti.

- Ovo je više nego dovoljno vremena da se stvari postave na mjesto. Važno je samo da momčad zdravstveno bude OK i da određeni krug za koji se odlučimo imamo na raspolaganju. Treba obaviti razgovore, reći ideje, kontaktirati od prvog dana prije okupljanja sa svima da se odmah krene u jakom ritmu.

Obrvan je još jednom istaknuo:

- Osjećam se maksimalno spreman, smatram da ne zaostajem ni za kim, čak i da imam bolje reference, dok nisam nikad dobio priliku i ne vidim zašto ne bih sada. Sada kada možda i najviše dosad to očekujem.

Koliko vam je otežavajuća činjenica rastanka sa Zagrebom ne tako davno. Nije sve bilo u rezultatima?

- Prenaglašeno je sve to i ne bih previše potencirao. Je li takva slika dvije godine u Zagrebu bilo kada do prije kraja spominjana. Nije. Ako se potencira, to je samo negativa koja se nameće kao problem, a to sigurno nije - zaključio je Ivica Obrvan u razgovoru za Sportske novosti.
