Hrvatski gimnastičar Matija Baron (23) osvojio je srebro na konju s hvataljkama u Dohi na drugom ovosezonskom turniru Svjetskog kupa.

Član zagrebačkog ZTD Hrvatskog Sokola je u svom drugom finalu u karijeri, drugom ove sezone i samo pet dana nakon finala u njemačkom Cottbusu, došao do svoje prve velike medalje.U finalu konja s hvataljkama, Matija je skupio 14.600 bodova, samo 0.175 manje od zlatnog Armenca Harutjuma Merdinjana. Brončani je drugi Armenac, Artur Davtjan sa 14.525 bodova.Baron je ovime preuzeo vodstvo u ukupnom poretku Svjetskog kupa među vježbačima na konju s hvataljkama (35 bodova).

Matija je do 13. godine trenirao u Samoboru u OŠ Bogumil Toni nakon čega prelazi u ZTD i svakodnevno dva puta iz Samobora dolazi na trening u Zagreb.

"Upornost, trud i samozatajnost vratili su mu se najbolji mogući način", rekao je Matijin trener Tigran Gorički koji u petak u finalu preče u Dohi ima i Marija Možnika, aktualnog brončanog sa Svjetskog prvenstva.

U finalu partera Hrvatska je imala dvojicu Osječana. Tomislav Marković baš kao i prošle godine zauzeo je 4. mjesto (14.575), dok je Andrej Korosteljev završio kao osmi sa 12.325 bodova. Podsjetimo, Marković iz Dohe ima već komplet medalja, zlato 2009, srebro 2012. i broncu iz 2008.

Hrvatski gimnastičar Matija Baron (23) osvojio je srebro na konju s hvataljkama u Dohi na drugom ovosezonskom turniru Svjetskog kupa.

Član zagrebačkog ZTD Hrvatskog Sokola je u svom drugom finalu u karijeri, drugom ove sezone i samo pet dana nakon finala u njemačkom Cottbusu, došao do svoje prve velike medalje.U finalu konja s hvataljkama, Matija je skupio 14.600 bodova, samo 0.175 manje od zlatnog Armenca Harutjuma Merdinjana. Brončani je drugi Armenac, Artur Davtjan sa 14.525 bodova.Baron je ovime preuzeo vodstvo u ukupnom poretku Svjetskog kupa među vježbačima na konju s hvataljkama (35 bodova).

Matija je do 13. godine trenirao u Samoboru u OŠ Bogumil Toni nakon čega prelazi u ZTD i svakodnevno dva puta iz Samobora dolazi na trening u Zagreb.

"Upornost, trud i samozatajnost vratili su mu se najbolji mogući način", rekao je Matijin trener Tigran Gorički koji u petak u finalu preče u Dohi ima i Marija Možnika, aktualnog brončanog sa Svjetskog prvenstva.

U finalu partera Hrvatska je imala dvojicu Osječana. Tomislav Marković baš kao i prošle godine zauzeo je 4. mjesto (14.575), dok je Andrej Korosteljev završio kao osmi sa 12.325 bodova. Podsjetimo, Marković iz Dohe ima već komplet medalja, zlato 2009, srebro 2012. i broncu iz 2008.
