Hrvatska  dugoprugaška plivačica Dina Levačić (24) u srijedu je najavila kako u razdoblju između 12. i 21. srpnja namjerava preplivati Gibraltarski tjesnac između Španjolske i Maroka, dužine 15 kilometara, te sjeverni kanal dužine 34 kilometra između sjeverne Irske i Škotske u razdoblju između 10. i 16. kolovoza ove godine.

- Dobro sam se pripremila za ove plivačke maratone, dat ću sve od sebe da uspijem i nemam nikakvog straha - rekla je Levačić na konferenciji za  novinare u Splitu.

Po njenim riječima, pripreme su bile surove, posebice za preplivavanje Sjevernog kanala, jer je to jedan od najzahtjevnijih plivačkih maratona u svijetu.

- U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu me čekaju snažne morske struje i veliki valovi, no vjerujem da mi to neće stvarati poteškoće. Sjeverni kanal je iznimno zahtjevan, jer osim jakih morskih struja i meduza postoji velika hladnoća mora. Ali moje pripreme su bile surove, trenirala sam u Jadranskom moru kad je temperatura vode bila 12 stupnjeva, a temperatura zraka samo pet stupnjeva. Osim toga, trenirala sam i na jezeru Peruča i rijekama Cetini, Krki, Jadro i Zrmanji - objasnila je Levačić.

Pandemija izazvana koronavirusom i njoj pričinjava poteškoće, tako da ide plivati ove maratone, kako se izrazila, "malo na  slijepo," jer su granice Maroka, gdje ona treba doplivati preko Gibraltara, zatvorene.

Ona se nada kako će to biti riješeno, jer pri uplivavanju u Maroko ni s kime neće imati kontakt. Također je rekla kako trenutačno u Sjevernoj Irskoj, iz koje treba krenuti u preplivavanje Sjevernog kanala, još uvijek vrijedi 14-dnevna karantena  za strance koji dolaze u tu zemlju, ali ona vjeruje kako će i taj problem biti prevladan.

Planirana preplivavanja Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i Sjevernog kanala su 5. i 6. postaja Dininog projekta "Velikih sedam maratona".

Ona je do sada preplivala prolaz Catalina u Kaliforniji, La Manche u Europi, Molokaʻi na Havajima i Tsugaru u Japanu.

Nakon Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i Sjevernog kanal ostat će joj za preplivati još samo Cookov prolaz koji je dugačak 26 kilometara, a spaja Sjeverni i Južni otok Novog Zelanda.

Hrvatska  dugoprugaška plivačica Dina Levačić (24) u srijedu je najavila kako u razdoblju između 12. i 21. srpnja namjerava preplivati Gibraltarski tjesnac između Španjolske i Maroka, dužine 15 kilometara, te sjeverni kanal dužine 34 kilometra između sjeverne Irske i Škotske u razdoblju između 10. i 16. kolovoza ove godine.

- Dobro sam se pripremila za ove plivačke maratone, dat ću sve od sebe da uspijem i nemam nikakvog straha - rekla je Levačić na konferenciji za  novinare u Splitu.

Po njenim riječima, pripreme su bile surove, posebice za preplivavanje Sjevernog kanala, jer je to jedan od najzahtjevnijih plivačkih maratona u svijetu.

- U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu me čekaju snažne morske struje i veliki valovi, no vjerujem da mi to neće stvarati poteškoće. Sjeverni kanal je iznimno zahtjevan, jer osim jakih morskih struja i meduza postoji velika hladnoća mora. Ali moje pripreme su bile surove, trenirala sam u Jadranskom moru kad je temperatura vode bila 12 stupnjeva, a temperatura zraka samo pet stupnjeva. Osim toga, trenirala sam i na jezeru Peruča i rijekama Cetini, Krki, Jadro i Zrmanji - objasnila je Levačić.

Pandemija izazvana koronavirusom i njoj pričinjava poteškoće, tako da ide plivati ove maratone, kako se izrazila, "malo na  slijepo," jer su granice Maroka, gdje ona treba doplivati preko Gibraltara, zatvorene.

Ona se nada kako će to biti riješeno, jer pri uplivavanju u Maroko ni s kime neće imati kontakt. Također je rekla kako trenutačno u Sjevernoj Irskoj, iz koje treba krenuti u preplivavanje Sjevernog kanala, još uvijek vrijedi 14-dnevna karantena  za strance koji dolaze u tu zemlju, ali ona vjeruje kako će i taj problem biti prevladan.

Planirana preplivavanja Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i Sjevernog kanala su 5. i 6. postaja Dininog projekta "Velikih sedam maratona".

Ona je do sada preplivala prolaz Catalina u Kaliforniji, La Manche u Europi, Molokaʻi na Havajima i Tsugaru u Japanu.

Nakon Gibraltarskog tjesnaca i Sjevernog kanal ostat će joj za preplivati još samo Cookov prolaz koji je dugačak 26 kilometara, a spaja Sjeverni i Južni otok Novog Zelanda.

Dina Levačić najavila preplivavanje Gibraltara i Sjevernog kanala: Dobro sam se pripremila, dat ću sve od sebe i nemam nikakvog straha

Hrvatska  dugoprugaška plivačica Dina Levačić (24) u srijedu je najavila kako u razdoblju između 12. i 21. srpnja namjerava preplivati Gibraltarski tjesnac između Španjolske i Maroka, dužine 15 kilometara, te sjeverni kanal dužine 34 kilometra između sjeverne Irske i Škotske u razdoblju između 10. i 16. kolovoza ove godine.

- Dobro sam se pripremila za ove plivačke maratone, dat ću sve od sebe da uspijem i nemam nikakvog straha - rekla je Levačić na konferenciji za  novinare u Splitu.

Po njenim riječima, pripreme su bile surove, posebice za preplivavanje Sjevernog kanala, jer je to jedan od najzahtjevnijih plivačkih maratona u svijetu.

- U Gibraltarskom tjesnacu me čekaju snažne morske struje i veliki valovi, no vjerujem da mi to neće stvarati poteškoće. Sjevern...
