Joško Španjić po svemu sudeći neće ostati u Hajdukovom stručnom stožeru Gorana Vučevića, jesu li tome razlog Vučevićeve križaljke, činjenica što novi/stari trener preferira neke druge stručnjake ili je pak trenutak da se Španjić odluči za samostalni dio karijere teško je reći: čini se da ima i jednog i drugog.
- Siguran sam da sam zanat ispekao više nego dobro i spreman sam za samostalni rad. Pa čak i da ja budem trener prve momčadi Hajduka, prije ili kasnije – uvjeren je Španjić.
Podsjećamo ga da je prije godinu i pol govorio kako Hajduku treba iskusniji trener. U ta doba je nakon Ivice Kalinića Španjić preuzeo vođenje prve momčadi, privremeno na dvije utakmice, trenutak prije nego što će tadašnji šef struke Ivica Šurjak pronaći i dovesti za kormilo iskusnog Talijana Edoarda Reju.
- Tako je, tako sam govorio, a danas sam bogatiji za stečeno golemo iskustvo radeći najprije s Rejom, a potom i sa Stankom Poklepovićem.
Tada sam mogao kazati da znam koliko ne znam, a sada se već usuđujem tvrditi da znam koliko znam! Španjić se ne plaši da bi se ovo moglo protumačiti kako hvali sam sebe.
- Nipošto, samo tvrdim da sam zanat ispekao dobro, da moja karijera ide polako, ali nadasve sigurno uzlaznom putanjom. Nakon niza godina rada u omladinskom pogonu, gdje sam ubilježio i nekoliko trofeja i titula radeći s kadetima i juniorima svoj staž sam nastavio pri prvoj momčadi.
Rekao bih da je to bio i kontinuitet, jer sam izbliza pratio razvoj Maloče, Oremuša, Marina Ljubičića, Strinića, Radoševića, Jozinovića, Čopa, Trebotića, Tičinović, Vukušića, Lendrića, Jonjića, Lovre Kalinića, Andrijaševića, Stipice...
Kaže Španjić kako to nisu njegovi igrači, nego Hajdukovi, da ga se pogrešno ne shvati, ali je ponosan na svoj dio odrađenog posla u njihovu razvoju.
- Trenutak je da istaknem kako je to produkt naše škole koja se često i proziva i devalvira.Ujedno, nisam od onih koji traže uhljebljenje sto godina. Dapače, i ja sam izrazio želju da ne budem više pomoćnik pri prvoj momčadi.
Zar je sporan odnos s Vučevićem ili možda s Tudorom?
- Ma ne, nipošto, ali ako već traže drugoga, ja se ne volim nametati. Uostalom, o sebi imam određeno mišljenje, rezultati stoje iza mene. Biti pomoćnik jednome Reji ili Poklepoviću, to je ok, to je fenomenalno iskustvo, a u novom rasporedu snaga možda je bolje da radim nešto drugo.
Upražnjeno je mjesto šefa omladinske škole, a čujemo da ste i vi u kombinaciji?
- To bi bilo zanimljivo, posebno na osnovu moga minulog rada u omladinskoj školi. Uostalom, i to bi mogao biti kontinuitet rada, zar ne?

Joško Španjić po svemu sudeći neće ostati u Hajdukovom stručnom stožeru Gorana Vučevića, jesu li tome razlog Vučevićeve križaljke, činjenica što novi/stari trener preferira neke druge stručnjake ili je pak trenutak da se Španjić odluči za samostalni dio karijere teško je reći: čini se da ima i jednog i drugog.
- Siguran sam da sam zanat ispekao više nego dobro i spreman sam za samostalni rad. Pa čak i da ja budem trener prve momčadi Hajduka, prije ili kasnije – uvjeren je Španjić.
Podsjećamo ga da je prije godinu i pol govorio kako Hajduku treba iskusniji trener. U ta doba je nakon Ivice Kalinića Španjić preuzeo vođenje prve momčadi, privremeno na dvije utakmice, trenutak prije nego što će tadašnji šef struke Ivica Šurjak pronaći i dovesti za kormilo iskusnog Talijana Edoarda Reju.
- Tako je, tako sam govorio, a danas sam bogatiji za stečeno golemo iskustvo radeći najprije s Rejom, a potom i sa Stankom Poklepovićem.
Tada sam mogao kazati da znam koliko ne znam, a sada se već usuđujem tvrditi da znam koliko znam! Španjić se ne plaši da bi se ovo moglo protumačiti kako hvali sam sebe.
- Nipošto, samo tvrdim da sam zanat ispekao dobro, da moja karijera ide polako, ali nadasve sigurno uzlaznom putanjom. Nakon niza godina rada u omladinskom pogonu, gdje sam ubilježio i nekoliko trofeja i titula radeći s kadetima i juniorima svoj staž sam nastavio pri prvoj momčadi.
Rekao bih da je to bio i kontinuitet, jer sam izbliza pratio razvoj Maloče, Oremuša, Marina Ljubičića, Strinića, Radoševića, Jozinovića, Čopa, Trebotića, Tičinović, Vukušića, Lendrića, Jonjića, Lovre Kalinića, Andrijaševića, Stipice...
Kaže Španjić kako to nisu njegovi igrači, nego Hajdukovi, da ga se pogrešno ne shvati, ali je ponosan na svoj dio odrađenog posla u njihovu razvoju.
- Trenutak je da istaknem kako je to produkt naše škole koja se često i proziva i devalvira.Ujedno, nisam od onih koji traže uhljebljenje sto godina. Dapače, i ja sam izrazio želju da ne budem više pomoćnik pri prvoj momčadi.
Zar je sporan odnos s Vučevićem ili možda s Tudorom?
- Ma ne, nipošto, ali ako već traže drugoga, ja se ne volim nametati. Uostalom, o sebi imam određeno mišljenje, rezultati stoje iza mene. Biti pomoćnik jednome Reji ili Poklepoviću, to je ok, to je fenomenalno iskustvo, a u novom rasporedu snaga možda je bolje da radim nešto drugo.
Upražnjeno je mjesto šefa omladinske škole, a čujemo da ste i vi u kombinaciji?
- To bi bilo zanimljivo, posebno na osnovu moga minulog rada u omladinskoj školi. Uostalom, i to bi mogao biti kontinuitet rada, zar ne?
