Gradski vijećnik i predsjednik kotara Blatine-Škrape Davor Matijević najavio je da će se kandidirati za predsjednika splitskog SDP-a. Unutarstranački izbori na rasporedu su 3. prosinca, a Matijević je objasnio zbog čega se kandidira za tu funkciju. 

- Kandidiram se ne zato što je to neka moćna pozicija, jer nije. Ne zato što želim novi korak u političkoj karijeri u kojoj sam prošao sve stepenice od kotarskog ogranka, do nacionalnog Glavnog odbora. Radim to jer najdublje vjerujem da splitski SDP može ponovno postati jak i jer znam da Splitu treba snažna socijaldemokratska stranka, a ja u tome mogu dati svoj doprinos.

Od 2008. kad sam ušao u SDP do danas naučio sam mnogo o stranačkoj politici, odnosima, pobjedama i porazima kroz koje smo zajedno prolazili te znam što mogu ponuditi stranci, članovima i građanima danas.

Kao svatko od nas, najviše sam naučio iz vlastitih grešaka. Sretan sam što danas mogu prepoznati vrijednost onih koji rade ili vjeruju drugačije nego ja. Prepoznajem važnost starijih članova i bitaka koje su vodili u vrijeme kad nije lako bilo biti socijaldemokrat u Splitu. Svjestan sam koliko je SDP izgubio s ljudima koji su, razočarani odnosima, unutarstranačkim previranjima, trgovinom ili neradom, politički angažman pronašli kroz druge opcije. Naučio sam što znači kompromis s političkim partnerima u interesu građana, ali isto tako i da oko temeljnih načela nikad, ali nikad i ni sa kim ne treba raditi kompromis.

Više od ičega, kao jedina lijeva opcija u splitskom gradskom vijeću vidim, koliko ćemo biti važni za smjer u kojem će naš grad ići u budućnosti.

Poštujući tradiciju i uvjerenja koje baštini SDP, dužni smo ponuditi suvremene politike i motivirati na angažman najbolje ljude, bili oni naši članovi ili simpatizeri, bili oni članovi ili simpatizeri drugih srodnih stranaka.

U Splitu koji rapidno gubi stanovništvo i svoj identitet, SDP mora ponuditi suvremene odgovore na pitanja socijalne pravde i prava najranjivijih neovisno govorimo li o stambenoj politici, predškolskom ili građanskom odgoju, pravima osoba s invaliditetom, beskućnicima, mladim parovima, umirovljenicima, manjinama, obrtnicima, radnicima…

Mogu obećati maksimalnu predanost, pošten odnos, priznavanje i ispravljanje pogrešaka kad se dogode te da nikad u svom djelovanju neću odstupiti od temeljnih vrijednosti i načela socijaldemokracije - napisao je Matijević.

Na čelu splitske organizacije trenutno je Damir Barbir koji je na to mjesto izabran prošle godine. Matijević se i lani kandidirao za mjesto predsjednika splitskog SDP-a, ali je na kraju povukao svoju kandidaturu. 

Razlog novih unutarstranačkih izbora u SDP-u leži u činjenici da su Splićani u godinu dana dva puta izlazili na biralište. Nakon svakih lokalnih izbora i SDP-ovci biraju prvog čovjeka splitske organizacije.

Gradski vijećnik i predsjednik kotara Blatine-Škrape Davor Matijević najavio je da će se kandidirati za predsjednika splitskog SDP-a. Unutarstranački izbori na rasporedu su 3. prosinca, a Matijević je objasnio zbog čega se kandidira za tu funkciju. 

- Kandidiram se ne zato što je to neka moćna pozicija, jer nije. Ne zato što želim novi korak u političkoj karijeri u kojoj sam prošao sve stepenice od kotarskog ogranka, do nacionalnog Glavnog odbora. Radim to jer najdublje vjerujem da splitski SDP može ponovno postati jak i jer znam da Splitu treba snažna socijaldemokratska stranka, a ja u tome mogu dati svoj doprinos.

Od 2008. kad sam ušao u SDP do danas naučio sam mnogo o stranačkoj politici, odnosima, pobjedama i porazima kroz koje smo zajedno prolazili te znam što mogu ponuditi stranci, članovima i građanima danas.

Kao svatko od nas, najviše sam naučio iz vlastitih grešaka. Sretan sam što danas mogu prepoznati vrijednost onih koji rade ili vjeruju drugačije nego ja. Prepoznajem važnost starijih članova i bitaka koje su vodili u vrijeme kad nije lako bilo biti socijaldemokrat u Splitu. Svjestan sam koliko je SDP izgubio s ljudima koji su, razočarani odnosima, unutarstranačkim previranjima, trgovinom ili neradom, politički angažman pronašli kroz druge opcije. Naučio sam što znači kompromis s političkim partnerima u interesu građana, ali isto tako i da oko temeljnih načela nikad, ali nikad i ni sa kim ne treba raditi kompromis.

Više od ičega, kao jedina lijeva opcija u splitskom gradskom vijeću vidim, koliko ćemo biti važni za smjer u kojem će naš grad ići u budućnosti.

Poštujući tradiciju i uvjerenja koje baštini SDP, dužni smo ponuditi suvremene politike i motivirati na angažman najbolje ljude, bili oni naši članovi ili simpatizeri, bili oni članovi ili simpatizeri drugih srodnih stranaka.

U Splitu koji rapidno gubi stanovništvo i svoj identitet, SDP mora ponuditi suvremene odgovore na pitanja socijalne pravde i prava najranjivijih neovisno govorimo li o stambenoj politici, predškolskom ili građanskom odgoju, pravima osoba s invaliditetom, beskućnicima, mladim parovima, umirovljenicima, manjinama, obrtnicima, radnicima…

Mogu obećati maksimalnu predanost, pošten odnos, priznavanje i ispravljanje pogrešaka kad se dogode te da nikad u svom djelovanju neću odstupiti od temeljnih vrijednosti i načela socijaldemokracije - napisao je Matijević.

Na čelu splitske organizacije trenutno je Damir Barbir koji je na to mjesto izabran prošle godine. Matijević se i lani kandidirao za mjesto predsjednika splitskog SDP-a, ali je na kraju povukao svoju kandidaturu. 

Razlog novih unutarstranačkih izbora u SDP-u leži u činjenici da su Splićani u godinu dana dva puta izlazili na biralište. Nakon svakih lokalnih izbora i SDP-ovci biraju prvog čovjeka splitske organizacije.

Gradski vijećnik i predsjednik kotara Blatine-Škrape Davor Matijević najavio je da će se kandidirati za predsjednika splitskog SDP-a. Unutarstranački izbori na rasporedu su 3. prosinca, a Matijević je objasnio zbog čega se kandidira za tu funkciju. 

- Kandidiram se ne zato što je to neka moćna pozicija, jer nije. Ne zato što želim novi korak u političkoj karijeri u kojoj sam prošao sve stepenice od kotarskog ogranka, do nacionalnog Glavnog odbora. Radim to jer najdublje vjerujem da splitski SDP može ponovno postati jak i jer znam da Splitu treba snažna socijaldemokratska stranka, a ja u tome mogu dati svoj doprinos.
