Festival započinje razgovorom utemeljitelja toga festivala Roberta Redforda s glazbenikom T-Boneom Burnettom te nastupima psihodelične britanske pop skupine Guillemots i Oscarom ovjenčanog glazbenika i glumca Glena Hansarda.


Program festivala predviđa i koncert skupine Placebo, te nastup Rufusa i Marthe Wainwright nakon svjetske premijere filma Liana Lunsona o njihovoj majci, kanadskoj folk pjevačici Kate McGarrigle.


U londonskoj dvorani O2 Arena bit će do 29. travnja prikazane britanske premijere 14 dugometražnih filmova sa Sundancea, među kojima su romantična komedija "Dva dana u New Yorku" Julie Delpy, hip-hop drama Youssefa Delare i Michaela D. Olmosa "Filly Brown", "film ceste" So Yong Kim "For Ellen", te romansa Josha Radnora "Liberal Arts".


London se nametnuo kao logičan izbor za održavanje europskog Sundancea, zbog tradicionalne povezanosti festivala s britanskom filmografijom, te činjenicom da se na Sundanceu prikazuje više britanskih naslova nego ikoje druge produkcije izvan SAD-a. Pokaže li se londonski Sundance uspješnim, organizatori su najavili moguće daljnje širenje Sundance brenda na druge gradove.


Proizašao iz inicijative američkog glumca Roberta Redforda, koji je 1981. u Utahu okupio skupinu svojih prijatelja i kolega želeći razviti okoliš namijenjen poticanju nezavisnosti, otkrivanja i pojave novih glasova u američkoj filmskoj industriji, Sundance je postao i ostao najveći svjetski festival nezavisnog filma, koji je pomogao pokrenuti karijere redatelja kao što su Steven Soderbergh, Paul Thomas Anderson, Darren Aronofsky i Quentin Tarantino.

najvećeg američkog festivala nezavisnog filma Sundance Film Festivala na kojemu će biti prikazane odabrane filmske premijere s glavnog festivala održanog u siječnju ove godine u američkom Park Cityju, s posebnim naglaskom na filmove povezane s glazbom.


Festival započinje razgovorom utemeljitelja toga festivala Roberta Redforda s glazbenikom T-Boneom Burnettom te nastupima psihodelične britanske pop skupine Guillemots i Oscarom ovjenčanog glazbenika i glumca Glena Hansarda.


Program festivala predviđa i koncert skupine Placebo, te nastup Rufusa i Marthe Wainwright nakon svjetske premijere filma Liana Lunsona o njihovoj majci, kanadskoj folk pjevačici Kate McGarrigle.


U londonskoj dvorani O2 Arena bit će do 29. travnja prikazane britanske premijere 14 dugometražnih filmova sa Sundancea, među kojima su romantična komedija "Dva dana u New Yorku" Julie Delpy, hip-hop drama Youssefa Delare i Michaela D. Olmosa "Filly Brown", "film ceste" So Yong Kim "For Ellen", te romansa Josha Radnora "Liberal Arts".


London se nametnuo kao logičan izbor za održavanje europskog Sundancea, zbog tradicionalne povezanosti festivala s britanskom filmografijom, te činjenicom da se na Sundanceu prikazuje više britanskih naslova nego ikoje druge produkcije izvan SAD-a. Pokaže li se londonski Sundance uspješnim, organizatori su najavili moguće daljnje širenje Sundance brenda na druge gradove.


Proizašao iz inicijative američkog glumca Roberta Redforda, koji je 1981. u Utahu okupio skupinu svojih prijatelja i kolega želeći razviti okoliš namijenjen poticanju nezavisnosti, otkrivanja i pojave novih glasova u američkoj filmskoj industriji, Sundance je postao i ostao najveći svjetski festival nezavisnog filma, koji je pomogao pokrenuti karijere redatelja kao što su Steven Soderbergh, Paul Thomas Anderson, Darren Aronofsky i Quentin Tarantino.

U Londonu danas počinje europska inačica najvećeg američkog festivala nezavisnog filma Sundance Film Festivala na kojemu će biti prikazane odabrane filmske premijere s glavnog festivala održanog u siječnju ove godine u američkom Park Cityju, s posebnim naglaskom na filmove povezane s glazbom.
