Iako je već deset godina u mirovini, bivši učenici ili - kako ih on zove - bivši prijatelji, redovito posjećuju i kontaktiraju svog nekadašnjeg profesora povijesti Tomislava Mamića. Kad su čuli da boluje od teškog oštećenja očnog živca u kombinaciji sa žutom mrljom – radi čega mu je prijetio potpuni gubitak vida – nisu dvojili ni trena. Otvorili su humanitarni račun u Zagrebačkoj banci kako bi mu omogućili skupocjenu terapiju injekcijama u klinici Svjetlost. Naime, HZZO ne pokriva liječenje injekcijama koje koštaju čak 5.700 kuna svaka, piše Istra24.hr. Zasad ih je Mamić primio tek dvije, a kolike ga još čekaju, ne zna.
Od kraja kolovoza na račun mu je uplaćeno više od 150.000 kuna, a prvu injekciju mu je samoinicijativno uplatila bivša kolegica, profesorica Tjelesnog odgoja Daniela Koljđeraj.
Sve što njegovi bivši učenici rade za njega otkako se razbolio najveće mu je, kaže, priznanje koje je mogao dobiti kao profesor i pedagog.
- Najprije sam ovdje u Puli primao lijek Avastin; u desno oko deset komada, a u lijevo šest, i nije mi bilo ništa bolje. Onda su doktori doslovce odustali od lijevog oka i rekli da je pametnije da krenem spašavati desno. Nakon 15 injekcija u desno oko, došao sam u situaciju da skoro ništa ne vidim i rečeno mi je da su šanse jako male, ali su me uputili na taj skupi lijek u zagrebačkoj klinici Svjetlost. Tada su moji bivši prijatelji dolazili tu kod mene i govorili mi: "Ajde, Tomo! Ajde, Tomo! Vi ste nas toliko zadužili da ćemo, ako treba, sakupiti novaca i za liječenje koje će trajati godinama..." - priča umirovljeni profesor za Istra24.hr.
Sedamdesetčetverogodišnji Mamić živi sam s psom Morisom u obiteljskoj kući u Škatarima. Rodom je iz Hercegovine, iz Tomislavgrada, a u Istru je stigao sada već davne 1975. godine. Prvo radno mjesto našao je u Bujama gdje je radio kao pedagog. Godinu dana kasnije prelazi u pazinsku gimnaziju gdje pak predaje povijest, da bi nakon dvije godine konačno počeo raditi u sadašnjoj Tehničkoj školi Pula, a tada Centru Vlado Božac.
- Tada sam kupio teren tu u Škatarima. To me stajalo devet tisuća maraka, a ja sam od pokojnog oca naslijedio osam. Jednu sam tisuću pozajmio i od tada se nikad razdužio nisam. Prije par godina sam se možda malo stabilizirao novčano, ali uvijek sam bio sirotinja i nije mi žao. Ljudi koji su teško prolazili u životu, prema djeci imaju više empatije. Ako si profesor, uvijek ćeš biti sirotinja ili nešto blizu toga. Ali to radiš jer želiš graditi mlade ljude i njihove karaktere. U suprotnom, znate, sve skupa nema smisla, kaže profesor Mamić.
- Nikad u životu nisam imao nikakvu zaštitu. Otac mi je poginuo u Njemačkoj na gradilištu kad sam imao 13 godina i ja sam sigurno dvadeset godina nakon toga svaku noć sanjao da nije istina da je on umro. Sad sam prvi put u životu bogat, a istovremeno mi je neugodno. Sram me jer nisam navikao da mi netko daje. Ali opet, da nije bilo te djece – ja bih ostao slijep, vjerujte. Kao profesoru, bilo mi je stalo da znaju osnovne stvari. Znači, morali su znati da je kralj Tomislav živio u 10. stoljeću, ali više meni znači to što oni meni i dandanas dolaze. Sigurno sam nekad i pogriješio, ali nikad namjerno. Bit će da su oni to i osjetili, kaže Mamić za Istra24.hr.
Terapija koju prima zasad daje rezultata. Naime, ne tako davno bio je u fazi kada gotovo ništa nije vidio. Na lijevo oko doduše više uopće ne vidi, dok mu se na desno oko vid polako vraća.
I prije no što je bio u potrebi, znao je, kaže, da ima podršku svojih bivših učenika odnosno prijatelja, ali da su mu toliko odani nije, govori, mogao ni zamisliti.
- Štos je u tome što meni to nije bio posao nego poziv. Bio sam ja njima i strah i trepet, i to po nekoliko mjeseci. Ali, nikad to nije bilo neljudski. Morao sam malo i taktizirati, da nauče što smiju, a što ne smiju. Bio sam im i ćaća i mater i prijatelj i svadljivac, pa i zločest prema kolegama i roditeljima kad je trebalo pomagati djeci. Gledajte, jednog profesora svakog sata u razredu sudi najmanje dvadesetak ljudi, a oni su toliko kritični da vas snime za par mjeseci i gotovo. Ja sam tako stekao neki status koji je gotovo neobjašnjiv, ali samo zato što sam o svakom djetetu brinuo kao da je moje rođeno, neovisno o tome jesam li im bio razrednik ili ne, kaže Mamić, profesor koji ima tu čast da su mu bivši učenici već unaprijed osigurali barem 25 terapija koje će mu spasiti vid, a što si sam, s profesorskom mirovinom, nikad ne bi mogao priuštiti.

Iako je već deset godina u mirovini, bivši učenici ili - kako ih on zove - bivši prijatelji, redovito posjećuju i kontaktiraju svog nekadašnjeg profesora povijesti Tomislava Mamića. Kad su čuli da boluje od teškog oštećenja očnog živca u kombinaciji sa žutom mrljom – radi čega mu je prijetio potpuni gubitak vida – nisu dvojili ni trena. Otvorili su humanitarni račun u Zagrebačkoj banci kako bi mu omogućili skupocjenu terapiju injekcijama u klinici Svjetlost. Naime, HZZO ne pokriva liječenje injekcijama koje koštaju čak 5.700 kuna svaka, piše Istra24.hr. Zasad ih je Mamić primio tek dvije, a kolike ga još čekaju, ne zna.
Od kraja kolovoza na račun mu je uplaćeno više od 150.000 kuna, a prvu injekciju mu je samoinicijativno uplatila bivša kolegica, profesorica Tjelesnog odgoja Daniela Koljđeraj.
Sve što njegovi bivši učenici rade za njega otkako se razbolio najveće mu je, kaže, priznanje koje je mogao dobiti kao profesor i pedagog.
- Najprije sam ovdje u Puli primao lijek Avastin; u desno oko deset komada, a u lijevo šest, i nije mi bilo ništa bolje. Onda su doktori doslovce odustali od lijevog oka i rekli da je pametnije da krenem spašavati desno. Nakon 15 injekcija u desno oko, došao sam u situaciju da skoro ništa ne vidim i rečeno mi je da su šanse jako male, ali su me uputili na taj skupi lijek u zagrebačkoj klinici Svjetlost. Tada su moji bivši prijatelji dolazili tu kod mene i govorili mi: "Ajde, Tomo! Ajde, Tomo! Vi ste nas toliko zadužili da ćemo, ako treba, sakupiti novaca i za liječenje koje će trajati godinama..." - priča umirovljeni profesor za Istra24.hr.
Sedamdesetčetverogodišnji Mamić živi sam s psom Morisom u obiteljskoj kući u Škatarima. Rodom je iz Hercegovine, iz Tomislavgrada, a u Istru je stigao sada već davne 1975. godine. Prvo radno mjesto našao je u Bujama gdje je radio kao pedagog. Godinu dana kasnije prelazi u pazinsku gimnaziju gdje pak predaje povijest, da bi nakon dvije godine konačno počeo raditi u sadašnjoj Tehničkoj školi Pula, a tada Centru Vlado Božac.
- Tada sam kupio teren tu u Škatarima. To me stajalo devet tisuća maraka, a ja sam od pokojnog oca naslijedio osam. Jednu sam tisuću pozajmio i od tada se nikad razdužio nisam. Prije par godina sam se možda malo stabilizirao novčano, ali uvijek sam bio sirotinja i nije mi žao. Ljudi koji su teško prolazili u životu, prema djeci imaju više empatije. Ako si profesor, uvijek ćeš biti sirotinja ili nešto blizu toga. Ali to radiš jer želiš graditi mlade ljude i njihove karaktere. U suprotnom, znate, sve skupa nema smisla, kaže profesor Mamić.
- Nikad u životu nisam imao nikakvu zaštitu. Otac mi je poginuo u Njemačkoj na gradilištu kad sam imao 13 godina i ja sam sigurno dvadeset godina nakon toga svaku noć sanjao da nije istina da je on umro. Sad sam prvi put u životu bogat, a istovremeno mi je neugodno. Sram me jer nisam navikao da mi netko daje. Ali opet, da nije bilo te djece – ja bih ostao slijep, vjerujte. Kao profesoru, bilo mi je stalo da znaju osnovne stvari. Znači, morali su znati da je kralj Tomislav živio u 10. stoljeću, ali više meni znači to što oni meni i dandanas dolaze. Sigurno sam nekad i pogriješio, ali nikad namjerno. Bit će da su oni to i osjetili, kaže Mamić za Istra24.hr.
Terapija koju prima zasad daje rezultata. Naime, ne tako davno bio je u fazi kada gotovo ništa nije vidio. Na lijevo oko doduše više uopće ne vidi, dok mu se na desno oko vid polako vraća.
I prije no što je bio u potrebi, znao je, kaže, da ima podršku svojih bivših učenika odnosno prijatelja, ali da su mu toliko odani nije, govori, mogao ni zamisliti.
- Štos je u tome što meni to nije bio posao nego poziv. Bio sam ja njima i strah i trepet, i to po nekoliko mjeseci. Ali, nikad to nije bilo neljudski. Morao sam malo i taktizirati, da nauče što smiju, a što ne smiju. Bio sam im i ćaća i mater i prijatelj i svadljivac, pa i zločest prema kolegama i roditeljima kad je trebalo pomagati djeci. Gledajte, jednog profesora svakog sata u razredu sudi najmanje dvadesetak ljudi, a oni su toliko kritični da vas snime za par mjeseci i gotovo. Ja sam tako stekao neki status koji je gotovo neobjašnjiv, ali samo zato što sam o svakom djetetu brinuo kao da je moje rođeno, neovisno o tome jesam li im bio razrednik ili ne, kaže Mamić, profesor koji ima tu čast da su mu bivši učenici već unaprijed osigurali barem 25 terapija koje će mu spasiti vid, a što si sam, s profesorskom mirovinom, nikad ne bi mogao priuštiti.
