Jeste li ikad probali modri krumpir? Ne ljubičasti batat, nego modri krumpir? Kažu da je iz Egipta i ipak, imenu unatoč, malo daje na ljubičasto. Niste i ne pada vam napamet, kažete? Pa isto bih vam do nekidan rekla i ja. Da modri krumpir, svašta. 

No, kako ono kažu oni koji tako kažu, 'Desperate times call for desperate measures', pa sam i ja, našavši se u jednoj takvoj očajnoj situaciji - samoposluzi iz koje je razgrabljen i zadnji gomolj krumpira - pribjegla očajničkoj mjeri. Kupila sam taj čudni, nimalo primamljivi modri krumpir.

Kažu da je iz Egipta. Piše i na pakiranju (od kila, a košta 10 kuna. Hajde, da se podnijeti). A onda na poleđini piše da je uzgojen u nekom našem OPG-u. Ništa mi nije bilo jasno, ali dalo mi je naslutiti da bi me moglo čekati iznenađenje.

No, nisam se dala smesti, hitno mi je trebao krumpir, a ovih dana nikome ne pada napamet obilaziti samposluge. 'Daj šta daš', kažu oni koji se pomire s očajničkom situacijom.

Pa sam ga donijela doma i krenula čistiti. I odmah razočaranje. Iznutra uopće nije tako modar kao što bi kora ili slika na pakiranju dali naslutiti. Čini se da je egipatsko sjeme u hrvatskoj zemlji doživjelo određene mutacije ili se 'izbaštardalo' s našim, domaćim krumpirom. Tko će ga znati.

No nema veze, ionako me više zanimao okus. S obzirom da je bila riječ i o eksperimentu, a ne samo spremanju ručka, skuhala sam ga u vodi, bez začina, konšervi i vegeti.

Kuhao se jednako dugo kao i obični, to je bilo prvo ugodno iznenađenje, a drugo je bila tekstura. Baš je kakav treba biti. Ni gnjecav, ni tvrd, ni brašnast. Evo tu možete vidjeti kako izgleda onako, najobičnije lešo.

Oprezno sam uzela jednu kockicu i eto trećeg (i najvažnijeg) ugodnog izennađenja. Znate li kakav okus ima modri krumpir, za koji kažu da je iz Egipta, a zapravo je iz nekog našeg OPG-a? Baš kao krumpir. 

Ne onaj dosadni iz dućana, kojeg su mi pokupovali ispred nosa, nego kao najbolji domaći krumpir. Didov krumpir. Da je dida bio iz Egipta. Ma savršen. Osjeća se zemlja, ali na dobar način.

Ubacila sam ga u varivo sa slanutkom, od dana prije. Odlično.

Jeste li ikad probali modri krumpir? Ne ljubičasti batat, nego modri krumpir? Kažu da je iz Egipta i ipak, imenu unatoč, malo daje na ljubičasto. Niste i ne pada vam napamet, kažete? Pa isto bih vam do nekidan rekla i ja. Da modri krumpir, svašta. 

No, kako ono kažu oni koji tako kažu, 'Desperate times call for desperate measures', pa sam i ja, našavši se u jednoj takvoj očajnoj situaciji - samoposluzi iz koje je razgrabljen i zadnji gomolj krumpira - pribjegla očajničkoj mjeri. Kupila sam taj čudni, nimalo primamljivi modri krumpir.

Kažu da je iz Egipta. Piše i na pakiranju (od kila, a košta 10 kuna. Hajde, da se podnijeti). A onda na poleđini piše da je uzgojen u nekom našem OPG-u. Ništa mi nije bilo jasno, ali dalo mi je naslutiti da bi me moglo čekati iznenađenje.

No, nisam se dala smesti, hitno mi je trebao krumpir, a ovih dana nikome ne pada napamet obilaziti samposluge. 'Daj šta daš', kažu oni koji se pomire s očajničkom situacijom.

Pa sam ga donijela doma i krenula čistiti. I odmah razočaranje. Iznutra uopće nije tako modar kao što bi kora ili slika na pakiranju dali naslutiti. Čini se da je egipatsko sjeme u hrvatskoj zemlji doživjelo određene mutacije ili se 'izbaštardalo' s našim, domaćim krumpirom. Tko će ga znati.

No nema veze, ionako me više zanimao okus. S obzirom da je bila riječ i o eksperimentu, a ne samo spremanju ručka, skuhala sam ga u vodi, bez začina, konšervi i vegeti.

Kuhao se jednako dugo kao i obični, to je bilo prvo ugodno iznenađenje, a drugo je bila tekstura. Baš je kakav treba biti. Ni gnjecav, ni tvrd, ni brašnast. Evo tu možete vidjeti kako izgleda onako, najobičnije lešo.

Oprezno sam uzela jednu kockicu i eto trećeg (i najvažnijeg) ugodnog izennađenja. Znate li kakav okus ima modri krumpir, za koji kažu da je iz Egipta, a zapravo je iz nekog našeg OPG-a? Baš kao krumpir. 

Ne onaj dosadni iz dućana, kojeg su mi pokupovali ispred nosa, nego kao najbolji domaći krumpir. Didov krumpir. Da je dida bio iz Egipta. Ma savršen. Osjeća se zemlja, ali na dobar način.

Ubacila sam ga u varivo sa slanutkom, od dana prije. Odlično.

Isprobali smo misteriozni modri krumpir, drugog u dućanu nije bilo: već na prvu je bilo jasno da se ispod čudne kore krije nešto neobično...

Jeste li ikad probali modri krumpir? Ne ljubičasti batat, nego modri krumpir? Kažu da je iz Egipta i ipak, imenu unatoč, malo daje na ljubičasto. Niste i ne pada vam napamet, kažete? Pa isto bih vam do nekidan rekla i ja. Da modri krumpir, svašta. 

No, kako ono kažu oni koji tako kažu, 'Desperate times call for desperate measures', pa sam i ja, našavši se u jednoj takvoj očajnoj situaciji - samoposluzi iz koje je razgrabljen i zadnji gomolj krumpira - pribjegla očajničkoj mjeri. Kupila sam taj čudni, nimalo primamljivi modri krumpir.

Kažu da je iz Egipta. Piše i na pakiranju (od kila, a košta 10 kuna. Hajde, da se podnijeti). A onda na poleđini piše da je uzgojen u nekom našem OPG-u. Ništa mi nije bilo jasno, ali dalo mi je naslutiti da bi me moglo čekati iznenađenje....
