Nakon više od šest sati prisilnog detoksa od društvenih mreža koji se dogodio u ponedjeljak popodne razumno je posumnjati kako bi se taj scenarij mogao dogoditi i s cijelim internetom. Iako su šanse da se to dogodi uistinu niske, Novi list je o mogućnosti da se to dogodi makar na području Hrvatske upitao Marka Rakara, IT stručnjaka. 

Objasnio nam je da Hrvatska kao “nacionalni” podskup interneta funkcionira na identični način kao i internet u cjelini, da bi cijela Hrvatska “ispala” s interneta bilo bi potrebno isključiti sve međunarodne veze kojih ima vrlo veliki broj. Nevjerojatan je scenarij u kojem bi bilo moguće isključiti baš sve veze, a prirodno ponašanje je da ako neke putanje ispadnu iz pogona da se promet preusmjeri preko drugih veza.

„Ono što je moguće je da pojedini dijelovi interneta ispadnu, pa recimo da možemo reći da je moguće da mreža računala nekog telekoma ispadne s interneta, ili da neoprezni bager presiječe neke međunarodne veze; ali u svim tim situacijama postoje alternativni pravci i rješenja, bila ona automatska ili ručna, koja bi riješila problem“ – kaže Rakar za Novi list te dodaje kako ne vjeruje da je jučerašnja greška nastala zbog napada ili samotaže već se vjerojatno radi o ljudskoj pogrešci. 

„Ono što se dogodilo jest to da je Facebook vlastitom pogreškom pobrisao informaciju o putanjama koje računalni upiti moraju napraviti da bi dosegli njihove servere, to znači da se ništa u biti nije “srušilo”, serveri su cijelo vrijeme bili uključeni i operativni ali smo na gotovo šest sati izgubili put do njih.“ – smatra informatički stručnjak. 

Rakar smatra da iako se tu radilo o najvećem padu društvenih mreža u njihovom postojanju, ipak je riječ o blagom i lako rješivom problemu. Do pada potpunog interneta, govori, teže će doći jer je riječ o dugogodišnjoj kritičnoj globalnoj infrastrukturi o kojoj doslovce ovise životi. 

„Danas je doslovno sve internet, nema segmenta koji nije na internetu pa čak i onda kada mislimo da nije, svejedno se negdje u pozadini nalazi internet. Primjerice, telefonske veze su odavno na internetu, distribucija TV signala se događa putem interneta, a naravno gotovo svi drugi servisi vitalno ovise o internetu, od maloprodajnih blagajni u dućanima, preko opskrbnih lanaca, koordinacije logistike, do proizvodnje struje ili distribucije vode i obrade otpadnih voda. Internet je jednostavno postala kritična infrastruktura bez koje više nije moguće zamisliti ili organizirati život tako da smo iznimno ranjivi na ispade takve infrastrukture. Ispad Facebooka je samo blagi primjer što se može dogoditi ako internet ne funkcionira kada spada. Da se ista situacija dogodila s, na primjer, električnom opskrbom i serverima koji upravljaju dalekovodima, bili bi u neusporedivo lošijoj i za po živote opasnoj poziciji.“ – zaključuje informatički stručnjak Marko Rakar.

Nakon više od šest sati prisilnog detoksa od društvenih mreža koji se dogodio u ponedjeljak popodne razumno je posumnjati kako bi se taj scenarij mogao dogoditi i s cijelim internetom. Iako su šanse da se to dogodi uistinu niske, Novi list je o mogućnosti da se to dogodi makar na području Hrvatske upitao Marka Rakara, IT stručnjaka. 

Objasnio nam je da Hrvatska kao “nacionalni” podskup interneta funkcionira na identični način kao i internet u cjelini, da bi cijela Hrvatska “ispala” s interneta bilo bi potrebno isključiti sve međunarodne veze kojih ima vrlo veliki broj. Nevjerojatan je scenarij u kojem bi bilo moguće isključiti baš sve veze, a prirodno ponašanje je da ako neke putanje ispadnu iz pogona da se promet preusmjeri preko drugih veza.

„Ono što je moguće je da pojedini dijelovi interneta ispadnu, pa recimo da možemo reći da je moguće da mreža računala nekog telekoma ispadne s interneta, ili da neoprezni bager presiječe neke međunarodne veze; ali u svim tim situacijama postoje alternativni pravci i rješenja, bila ona automatska ili ručna, koja bi riješila problem“ – kaže Rakar za Novi list te dodaje kako ne vjeruje da je jučerašnja greška nastala zbog napada ili samotaže već se vjerojatno radi o ljudskoj pogrešci. 

„Ono što se dogodilo jest to da je Facebook vlastitom pogreškom pobrisao informaciju o putanjama koje računalni upiti moraju napraviti da bi dosegli njihove servere, to znači da se ništa u biti nije “srušilo”, serveri su cijelo vrijeme bili uključeni i operativni ali smo na gotovo šest sati izgubili put do njih.“ – smatra informatički stručnjak. 

Rakar smatra da iako se tu radilo o najvećem padu društvenih mreža u njihovom postojanju, ipak je riječ o blagom i lako rješivom problemu. Do pada potpunog interneta, govori, teže će doći jer je riječ o dugogodišnjoj kritičnoj globalnoj infrastrukturi o kojoj doslovce ovise životi. 

„Danas je doslovno sve internet, nema segmenta koji nije na internetu pa čak i onda kada mislimo da nije, svejedno se negdje u pozadini nalazi internet. Primjerice, telefonske veze su odavno na internetu, distribucija TV signala se događa putem interneta, a naravno gotovo svi drugi servisi vitalno ovise o internetu, od maloprodajnih blagajni u dućanima, preko opskrbnih lanaca, koordinacije logistike, do proizvodnje struje ili distribucije vode i obrade otpadnih voda. Internet je jednostavno postala kritična infrastruktura bez koje više nije moguće zamisliti ili organizirati život tako da smo iznimno ranjivi na ispade takve infrastrukture. Ispad Facebooka je samo blagi primjer što se može dogoditi ako internet ne funkcionira kada spada. Da se ista situacija dogodila s, na primjer, električnom opskrbom i serverima koji upravljaju dalekovodima, bili bi u neusporedivo lošijoj i za po živote opasnoj poziciji.“ – zaključuje informatički stručnjak Marko Rakar.

Nakon više od šest sati prisilnog detoksa od društvenih mreža koji se dogodio u ponedjeljak popodne razumno je posumnjati kako bi se taj scenarij mogao dogoditi i s cijelim internetom. Iako su šanse da se to dogodi uistinu niske, Novi list je o mogućnosti da se to dogodi makar na području Hrvatske upitao Marka Rakara, IT stručnjaka. 

Objasnio nam je da Hrvatska kao “nacionalni” podskup interneta funkcionira na identični način kao i internet u cjelini, da bi cijela Hrvatska “ispala” s interneta bilo bi potrebno isključiti sve međunarodne veze kojih ima vrlo veliki broj. Nevjerojatan je scenarij u kojem bi bilo moguće isključiti baš sve veze, a prirodno ponašanje je da ako neke putanje ispadnu iz pogona da se promet preusmjeri preko drugih veza.
