"Magnetic Sounds“ naslov je izložbe Željka Kipkea koja je postavljena u prostoru MSU Black Box sve do 17. siječnja iduće godine. Naslov je dobila prema najnovijem Kipkeovom filmu "Magnetic Sounds“ koji je i sam nadahnut stotom obljetnicom literarnog djela "Les champs magnetiques", (Magnetska polja) iz 1920. u suautorstvu nadrealista André Bretona i Philippea Soupaulta.
Posrijedi je kapitalni tekst za razumijevanje nadrealističkih postupaka, a u kojemu su autori predložili istraživanje automatskog pisma, oblik jezika oslobođen kostriktivnog utjecaja razuma. Kipke, kao povećeni istraživač nadrealističkih strategija, dopustio je da upravo slučaj bude montažer filmskih prizora koji će u posjetitelja stvoriti niz fantastičnih asocijacija jer je riječ, kako Kipke tvrdi, o filmu koji stvara vezu "između svih mogućih i nemogućih stvari na ovome svijetu“.

Uz najnoviji Kipkeov film, publici će biti predstavljeni i njegovi raniji filmovi ("Unyielding Look into the Future“, 2013.; "Bulevar devet života u 12 figura i P.S.“, 2012.), odnosno, slikarske instalacije koje tvore neuobičajene veze s predstavljenim filmovima.
"Bolji poznavatelji Kipkeovog opusa mogli bi se pitati otkuda dolazi ovaj stanoviti sadržajni salto u pulp kulturu? Naime, Kipkea određuje sakupljanje i istraživanju precioznih i rijetkih predmeta poput starih filmskih časopisa, derivé stvarnim i izmišljenim bulevarima, njegov univerzum nastanjuju 'staze koje se račvaju, smrt, Borges, Kiš, Sebald ili Cortázar'.

Međutim, zavirimo li u manje istraživanu povijest nadrealizma, otkrivamo da je 20-ih godina prošlog stoljeća nadrealistički pokret crpio nadahnuća iz tamne strane takozvane "niske kulture“. Naime, nadrealistički Panteon 20-ih godina nastanjivao je duhoviti serijski ubojica poznatiji kao Modrobradi iz Gambaisa kojega je porota jednoglasno osudila da bi, nešto kasnije, tražila njegovo pomilovanje zbog istančanog galgenhumora.
Tu je bio i Fantomas, elegantni fikcionalni lik specijaliziran za osobito nasilna ubojstva, spektakularne pljačke ili katastrofe monumentalnih dimenzija kojega su nadrealisti proglasili izravnim nasljednikom Lautréamonta, rođakom Rimbauda ili Apollineaireovim bratom" zapisala je u tekstu "Jezivije od čovjeka kojeg je presjekao prozor“ povjesničarka umjetnosti i viša kustosica Muzeja suvremene umjetnosti

"Magnetic Sounds“ naslov je izložbe Željka Kipkea koja je postavljena u prostoru MSU Black Box sve do 17. siječnja iduće godine. Naslov je dobila prema najnovijem Kipkeovom filmu "Magnetic Sounds“ koji je i sam nadahnut stotom obljetnicom literarnog djela "Les champs magnetiques", (Magnetska polja) iz 1920. u suautorstvu nadrealista André Bretona i Philippea Soupaulta.
Posrijedi je kapitalni tekst za razumijevanje nadrealističkih postupaka, a u kojemu su autori predložili istraživanje automatskog pisma, oblik jezika oslobođen kostriktivnog utjecaja razuma. Kipke, kao povećeni istraživač nadrealističkih strategija, dopustio je da upravo slučaj bude montažer filmskih prizora koji će u posjetitelja stvoriti niz fantastičnih asocijacija jer je riječ, kako Kipke tvrdi, o filmu koji stvara vezu "između svih mogućih i nemogućih stvari na ovome svijetu“.

Uz najnoviji Kipkeov film, publici će biti predstavljeni i njegovi raniji filmovi ("Unyielding Look into the Future“, 2013.; "Bulevar devet života u 12 figura i P.S.“, 2012.), odnosno, slikarske instalacije koje tvore neuobičajene veze s predstavljenim filmovima.
"Bolji poznavatelji Kipkeovog opusa mogli bi se pitati otkuda dolazi ovaj stanoviti sadržajni salto u pulp kulturu? Naime, Kipkea određuje sakupljanje i istraživanju precioznih i rijetkih predmeta poput starih filmskih časopisa, derivé stvarnim i izmišljenim bulevarima, njegov univerzum nastanjuju 'staze koje se račvaju, smrt, Borges, Kiš, Sebald ili Cortázar'.

Međutim, zavirimo li u manje istraživanu povijest nadrealizma, otkrivamo da je 20-ih godina prošlog stoljeća nadrealistički pokret crpio nadahnuća iz tamne strane takozvane "niske kulture“. Naime, nadrealistički Panteon 20-ih godina nastanjivao je duhoviti serijski ubojica poznatiji kao Modrobradi iz Gambaisa kojega je porota jednoglasno osudila da bi, nešto kasnije, tražila njegovo pomilovanje zbog istančanog galgenhumora.
Tu je bio i Fantomas, elegantni fikcionalni lik specijaliziran za osobito nasilna ubojstva, spektakularne pljačke ili katastrofe monumentalnih dimenzija kojega su nadrealisti proglasili izravnim nasljednikom Lautréamonta, rođakom Rimbauda ili Apollineaireovim bratom" zapisala je u tekstu "Jezivije od čovjeka kojeg je presjekao prozor“ povjesničarka umjetnosti i viša kustosica Muzeja suvremene umjetnosti
