Kad nosi cipele s visokim potpeticama, svaka žena izgleda viša, vitkija, noge joj se doimaju dužima i ljepšima; ispunjavaju samopouzdanjem i prisiljavaju na zadržavanje uspravnijeg držanja.

U današnje vrijeme možda zvuči čudno da bi jedna tako naizgled površna stvar kao što je vrsta obuće s visokim potpeticama mogla imati bilo kakav utjecaj na status na poslu, no prema jednom istraživanju, visoki ljudi zarađuju više od nižih. Na radnom mjestu "svaki inč visine (1 inč = 2,54 cm) znači 789 dolara plus u godini, čak i kada se spol, težina i dob uzmu u obzir". To znači da dodatnih šest inča (15 cm) znači 4734 dolara više u godišnjem prihodu. Tako je to u Americi, a stručnjaci tvrde da je slično i u ostatku svijeta.

No nositi visoke potpetice ima i svojih loših strana. Većinu vaše tjelesne težine nosi prednji dio stopala, a najviše trpe gležnjevi, Ahilova tetiva i mišići listova. Kad svakodnevno nosite cipele s visokom potpeticom (što su više i tanje uzrokuju više problema) također trpe koljena, kukovi i donji dio kralježnice. Posljedice mogu biti ozbiljne, jer se može razviti kronična napetost gležnja i mekih mišića, a može se javiti i artroza.

Stoga, ako cijeli dan nosite visoke potpetice, pogotovo ako su vrtoglavo visoke, sutradan obujte mekane balerinke. Dobro je svakodnevno mijenjati vrstu obuće kako bi se stopala i noge odmorili. Važno je da balerinke, kao i cipele s visokom potpeticom, imaju kvalitetnu podlogu, inače će se zdravstveni problemi pojaviti ranije i u većoj mjeri.

Navodno su prve potpetice, kako je prikazano na perzijskoj zdjeli iz 9. stoljeća – stvorene za jahače konja kao način koji će spriječiti da im noge skliznu sa stremena. Početkom 17. stoljeća žene su usvojile taj trend, a nakon toga potpetice su rasle do nebeskih visina i postale neizostavne u svakom ženskom ormaru. Štoviše, postale su zlatni standard za sve prilike, od poslovnih sastanaka do šetnje crvenim tepihom. No, iako su definitivno elegantne, štikle mogu uzrokovati velike probleme i za stopala i za proračun.

Štikle su glavni krivac za milijune tegoba vezanih uz stopala i gležnjeve, ali žene ih unatoč tome ne odbacuju. Bez obzira na to trpite li već bolove u stopalu i koliko trpi vaš račun da bi vam kolekcija cipela bila bogatija, razmislite o nedostacima i opasnostima koje (prekrasne te često i vrtoglavo skupe) štikle nose.

1. Bolovi u zglobovima

Za razliku od ostalih vrsta cipela, visokim potpeticama nedostaje značajnija apsorpcija udara. Štoviše, onemogućuju da se stopala prirodno okreću dok hodate, jer su prisiljena biti u prisilno savijenom stanje. To uzrokuje da koljeno trpi teret svakog koraka, što može dovesti do jakih bolova u zglobovima i pogoršanja simptoma artritisa, navodi Američko udruženje ortopedskih kirurga. Gležanj također apsorbira dio udara, pa se nemojte iznenaditi ako vam dugi dan u potpeticama ostavi zglobove ukočenima i bolnima.

2. Žuljevi

Kada obujete preuske cipele neprirodnog oblika, poput cipela sa špicastim vrhovima stvarate pritisak na bočnim stranama stopala i nožnih prstiju. S vremenom trljanje stopala u takvim cipelama dovodi do otvrdnjavanja kože i stvaranja niza žuljeva.

3. Skraćena Ahilova tetiva

Ovo bi mogla biti jedna od zabrinjavajućih nuspojava nošenja potpetica. Prema Live Scienceu, žene koje tijekom života dugo nose štikle zapravo skraćuju svoju Ahilovu tetivu. S petom u podignutom položaju, potpetice zapravo mogu stvoriti fiziološku promjenu u mišićima i tetivama oko gležnjeva zbog čega se mogu razviti jaki bolovi i istegnuća.

4. Bol u donjem dijelu leđa

Visoke potpetice uzrokuju da se zdjelica gura prema naprijed kad hodate ili stojite, vršeći strašan pritisak na donji dio leđa i uzrokujući dugotrajnu bol.

5. Nedostatak jastučića

Kad nosite štikle, težina cijelog tijela stavlja težište na prednji dio stopala, a peta služi samo za održavanje ravnoteže. To može prouzrokovati trošenje prirodnih jastučića na stopalima. Neki plastični kirurzi zapravo ubrizgavaju botoks u stopala pacijenata kako bi im dodali jastučiće i učinili pete ugodnijima. Inače, bez tog dodatnog podmetanja na stopala, pete mogu postati jako bolne.

6. Pad i uganuće gležnja

Kada nosite ravne cipele težina se ravnomjerno raspoređuje između svoda stopala i pete, s malim pritiskom na gležanj. Nažalost, potpetice uzrokuju takav disbalans, a budući da gležnjevi nisu izgrađeni da podnose takav pritisak, pa padovi, izvrtanja i uganuća gležnjeva mogu biti prilično česti, a nisu isključeni ni lomovi. Gotovo je nemoguće savršeno uravnotežiti hod posebno na vrlo visokim potpeticama, pa svaka neravnina na pločniku može biti prepreka koju potpetice ne mogu savladati.

7. Urasli nokti

Većina potpetica ima šiljasti ili bademasti vrh unatoč činjenici da je vrh vašeg stopala zapravo zaobljen. Zbog toga najveći i najmanji nožni prsti trpe velik pritisak dok ih pritiskaju bokovi vrh cipele. Visoke potpetice uzrokuju da vam stopala klize prema dolje i guraju nožne prste, što dovodi do nastanka kurjih očiju i urastanja noktiju. Urasli nokti na nogama javljaju se kad se ivice nokta usjeku u okolnu kožu te nokat počne rasti u meso, što može biti vrlo bolno.

Možda nemate zamjenu za štikle i ne želite ih se odreći, ali možda je vrijeme da svoje visoke potpetice zamijenite nešto udobnijim varijantama, visine do pet centimetara, koje mogu biti ipak ugodnije za nošenje. Možda život s bolovima u koljenu, bolni gležnjevi i urasli nokti nisu vrijedni praćenja najnovijeg modnog trenda. I ako baš morate nositi svoje visoke potpetice, činite to pažljivo i u malim dozama, i nećete trpjeti štetne posljedice trenda.

Kad nosi cipele s visokim potpeticama, svaka žena izgleda viša, vitkija, noge joj se doimaju dužima i ljepšima; ispunjavaju samopouzdanjem i prisiljavaju na zadržavanje uspravnijeg držanja.

U današnje vrijeme možda zvuči čudno da bi jedna tako naizgled površna stvar kao što je vrsta obuće s visokim potpeticama mogla imati bilo kakav utjecaj na status na poslu, no prema jednom istraživanju, visoki ljudi zarađuju više od nižih. Na radnom mjestu "svaki inč visine (1 inč = 2,54 cm) znači 789 dolara plus u godini, čak i kada se spol, težina i dob uzmu u obzir". To znači da dodatnih šest inča (15 cm) znači 4734 dolara više u godišnjem prihodu. Tako je to u Americi, a stručnjaci tvrde da je slično i u ostatku svijeta.

No nositi visoke potpetice ima i svojih loših strana. Većinu vaše tjelesne težine nosi prednji dio stopala, a najviše trpe gležnjevi, Ahilova tetiva i mišići listova. Kad svakodnevno nosite cipele s visokom potpeticom (što su više i tanje uzrokuju više problema) također trpe koljena, kukovi i donji dio kralježnice. Posljedice mogu biti ozbiljne, jer se može razviti kronična napetost gležnja i mekih mišića, a može se javiti i artroza.

Stoga, ako cijeli dan nosite visoke potpetice, pogotovo ako su vrtoglavo visoke, sutradan obujte mekane balerinke. Dobro je svakodnevno mijenjati vrstu obuće kako bi se stopala i noge odmorili. Važno je da balerinke, kao i cipele s visokom potpeticom, imaju kvalitetnu podlogu, inače će se zdravstveni problemi pojaviti ranije i u većoj mjeri.

Navodno su prve potpetice, kako je prikazano na perzijskoj zdjeli iz 9. stoljeća – stvorene za jahače konja kao način koji će spriječiti da im noge skliznu sa stremena. Početkom 17. stoljeća žene su usvojile taj trend, a nakon toga potpetice su rasle do nebeskih visina i postale neizostavne u svakom ženskom ormaru. Štoviše, postale su zlatni standard za sve prilike, od poslovnih sastanaka do šetnje crvenim tepihom. No, iako su definitivno elegantne, štikle mogu uzrokovati velike probleme i za stopala i za proračun.

Štikle su glavni krivac za milijune tegoba vezanih uz stopala i gležnjeve, ali žene ih unatoč tome ne odbacuju. Bez obzira na to trpite li već bolove u stopalu i koliko trpi vaš račun da bi vam kolekcija cipela bila bogatija, razmislite o nedostacima i opasnostima koje (prekrasne te često i vrtoglavo skupe) štikle nose.

1. Bolovi u zglobovima

Za razliku od ostalih vrsta cipela, visokim potpeticama nedostaje značajnija apsorpcija udara. Štoviše, onemogućuju da se stopala prirodno okreću dok hodate, jer su prisiljena biti u prisilno savijenom stanje. To uzrokuje da koljeno trpi teret svakog koraka, što može dovesti do jakih bolova u zglobovima i pogoršanja simptoma artritisa, navodi Američko udruženje ortopedskih kirurga. Gležanj također apsorbira dio udara, pa se nemojte iznenaditi ako vam dugi dan u potpeticama ostavi zglobove ukočenima i bolnima.

2. Žuljevi

Kada obujete preuske cipele neprirodnog oblika, poput cipela sa špicastim vrhovima stvarate pritisak na bočnim stranama stopala i nožnih prstiju. S vremenom trljanje stopala u takvim cipelama dovodi do otvrdnjavanja kože i stvaranja niza žuljeva.

3. Skraćena Ahilova tetiva

Ovo bi mogla biti jedna od zabrinjavajućih nuspojava nošenja potpetica. Prema Live Scienceu, žene koje tijekom života dugo nose štikle zapravo skraćuju svoju Ahilovu tetivu. S petom u podignutom položaju, potpetice zapravo mogu stvoriti fiziološku promjenu u mišićima i tetivama oko gležnjeva zbog čega se mogu razviti jaki bolovi i istegnuća.

4. Bol u donjem dijelu leđa

Visoke potpetice uzrokuju da se zdjelica gura prema naprijed kad hodate ili stojite, vršeći strašan pritisak na donji dio leđa i uzrokujući dugotrajnu bol.

5. Nedostatak jastučića

Kad nosite štikle, težina cijelog tijela stavlja težište na prednji dio stopala, a peta služi samo za održavanje ravnoteže. To može prouzrokovati trošenje prirodnih jastučića na stopalima. Neki plastični kirurzi zapravo ubrizgavaju botoks u stopala pacijenata kako bi im dodali jastučiće i učinili pete ugodnijima. Inače, bez tog dodatnog podmetanja na stopala, pete mogu postati jako bolne.

6. Pad i uganuće gležnja

Kada nosite ravne cipele težina se ravnomjerno raspoređuje između svoda stopala i pete, s malim pritiskom na gležanj. Nažalost, potpetice uzrokuju takav disbalans, a budući da gležnjevi nisu izgrađeni da podnose takav pritisak, pa padovi, izvrtanja i uganuća gležnjeva mogu biti prilično česti, a nisu isključeni ni lomovi. Gotovo je nemoguće savršeno uravnotežiti hod posebno na vrlo visokim potpeticama, pa svaka neravnina na pločniku može biti prepreka koju potpetice ne mogu savladati.

7. Urasli nokti

Većina potpetica ima šiljasti ili bademasti vrh unatoč činjenici da je vrh vašeg stopala zapravo zaobljen. Zbog toga najveći i najmanji nožni prsti trpe velik pritisak dok ih pritiskaju bokovi vrh cipele. Visoke potpetice uzrokuju da vam stopala klize prema dolje i guraju nožne prste, što dovodi do nastanka kurjih očiju i urastanja noktiju. Urasli nokti na nogama javljaju se kad se ivice nokta usjeku u okolnu kožu te nokat počne rasti u meso, što može biti vrlo bolno.

Možda nemate zamjenu za štikle i ne želite ih se odreći, ali možda je vrijeme da svoje visoke potpetice zamijenite nešto udobnijim varijantama, visine do pet centimetara, koje mogu biti ipak ugodnije za nošenje. Možda život s bolovima u koljenu, bolni gležnjevi i urasli nokti nisu vrijedni praćenja najnovijeg modnog trenda. I ako baš morate nositi svoje visoke potpetice, činite to pažljivo i u malim dozama, i nećete trpjeti štetne posljedice trenda.
