Pula je okusila dašak takozvanog "Ponoćnog ludila" sa Sundancea kad je na Kaštelu upriličila hrvatsku premijeru dansko-nizozemskog psihološkog horor trilera "Ne govori zlo" režisera i koscenarista Christiana Tafdrupa. Rijetki domaći festivali organiziraju kasnovečernje projekcije hororskog "Midnight Madness" tipa, stoga svaka čast Puli za "Gæsterne"/"Speak No Evil".

K tome, "Ne govori zlo" se savršeno nadovezalo na hrvatskog "Strica" dvojca Andrija Mardešić-David Kapac i filmovi bi mogli tvoriti jedan dobar festivalsko-žanrovski "double bill". U oba slučaja radi se o "elevated" hororima psihološko-trilerske vrste, nastalim efektnim ispreplitanjem filmskih uzora njihovih autora.

"Stric" je nećak Yorgosa Lanthimosa ("Očnjak") i Michaela Hanekea ("Šašave igre"). "Speak No Evil", pak, naglavačke ubacuje "Turista" Rubena Östlunda u (također) Hanekeov "Funny Games".

U ovom filmu društvena satira je, dakle, jednako razorna poput psiho-horora koji uznemiruje tenzičnom nelagodom i šokira poremećenošću u završnici. Početak je "turistički". Pri kraju ljetovanja u Toskani, danski par Bjørn i Louise (Morten Burian, Sidsel Siem Koch) upoznaje Nizozemce Patricka i Karin (Fedja van Huêt, Karina Smulders). Danci i Nizozemci naizgled kliknu na prvu, kao i njihova djeca, kćerka prvih Agnes (Liva Forsberg) i sin drugih Abel (Marius Damslev).

Nedugo nakon povratka kući, Bjørn i Louise primaju pismo od Patricka i Karin u kojem ih oni pozivaju da dođu jedan vikend u njihovu kuću na selu. Louise ima dvojbe zbog "vikenda na nizozemskom selu s ljudima koje jedva znamo", ali Bjørn smatra da bi trebali poći jer bi bilo "nepristojno" ako odbiju poziv.

"Što je najgore što se može dogoditi", pita se njihov prijatelj kad mu spomenu situaciju. Ovo je horor i da se nešto najgore "mora" dogoditi u startu sugerira zlokobna glazba, ali pitanje je što točno i dokle će Tafdrup otići u događajnosti "najgoreg".

Znaci upozorenja izdani su zarana, ali redatelj izvrsno balansira između onog što je društveno prihvaćeno kao normalno i nenormalno, tj. pristojnosti i nepristojnosti te konzervativnosti i slobodoumnosti utjelovljene u Dancima i Nizozemcima, tako da se može činiti kako je možda sve ipak okej.

Jer, to što se domaćini pohvataju na plesnom podiju restorana ispred gostiju ne znači da su psihopati, niti Patrickova vožnja pod utjecajem alkohola i puštanje glasne muzike u autu na povratku kući. No, s druge strane, čudno je doživjeti ignoriranje roditelja na povremeno tuljenje sina koji je "rođen bez jezika" (!).

Zrno sumnje klija i kad Bjørn opazi da ga je Patrick ćirio dok je vodio ljubav s Louise, a atmosfera nelagode raste kad se Patrick izdere na Abela tijekom djetetova izvođenja obične plesne točke s Agnes kojoj Karin drži prodike kao da je njezina kćer i neobično često voli uzeti škare u ruke.

Tenzije u zraku sve se više mogu rezati škarama, ali redatelj svako malo dade gledatelju privid (lažne) sigurnosti, tipa u "bondingu" pećinskog alfa-muškarca Patricka i slabića Bjørna koji priznaje domaćinu da vodi monoton život i želi izbaciti iz sebe ono što dugo potiskuje, makar da primordijalno muški vrisne iz punih pluća usred ničega zajedno s novim prijateljem.

Tada se čini da bi Bjørn mogao uzgojiti par muda, ali on i dalje robuje mandatornoj pristojnosti političke korektnosti današnjice, pa prema domaćinu želi biti uljudan i ne uvrijediti ga odlaskom bez pozdrava, iako je sve više jasno da bi ga trebao pozdraviti i odmagliti s ženom i kćerkom. Kompulzivna uljudnost skupo će koštati danski par kad neuljudni domaćini iskoriste to protiv gostiju i njihova nepovratna agonija krene da im više nitko ne može pomoći, ponajmanje gledatelj.

Iako cijelo vrijeme gradi film prema tome, redatelj zaslužuje pohvalu što do završnice nagoni gledatelja da, unatoč anticipaciji jeze, misli kako se neizbježni horor nekako ipak može izbjeći u "hajde, ima još nade" stilu i da se Dancima ništa neće desiti, posebice nakon što Louise u nekoliko navrata kaže kćerkici "Sad si s mamom i tatom, ništa ti se ne može dogoditi".

Nada možda umire posljednja, ali umire, a svjetlo za koje Agnes moli roditelje da ostane upaljeno bit će ugašeno u završnici. Bezumno nasilje na kraju dovodi "Ne govori zlo" u vezu sa "Strancima" Bryana Bertina. Pitanje je isto u oba filma: "Zašto to radite?", ali odgovor je drukčiji. Nekad je glasio "Zato što ste bili kod kuće". Sada glasi "Jer nam dopuštate".

Pula je okusila dašak takozvanog "Ponoćnog ludila" sa Sundancea kad je na Kaštelu upriličila hrvatsku premijeru dansko-nizozemskog psihološkog horor trilera "Ne govori zlo" režisera i koscenarista Christiana Tafdrupa. Rijetki domaći festivali organiziraju kasnovečernje projekcije hororskog "Midnight Madness" tipa, stoga svaka čast Puli za "Gæsterne"/"Speak No Evil".

K tome, "Ne govori zlo" se savršeno nadovezalo na hrvatskog "Strica" dvojca Andrija Mardešić-David Kapac i filmovi bi mogli tvoriti jedan dobar festivalsko-žanrovski "double bill". U oba slučaja radi se o "elevated" hororima psihološko-trilerske vrste, nastalim efektnim ispreplitanjem filmskih uzora njihovih autora.

"Stric" je nećak Yorgosa Lanthimosa ("Očnjak") i Michaela Hanekea ("Šašave igre"). "Speak No Evil", pak, naglavačke ubacuje "Turista" Rubena Östlunda u (također) Hanekeov "Funny Games".

U ovom filmu društvena satira je, dakle, jednako razorna poput psiho-horora koji uznemiruje tenzičnom nelagodom i šokira poremećenošću u završnici. Početak je "turistički". Pri kraju ljetovanja u Toskani, danski par Bjørn i Louise (Morten Burian, Sidsel Siem Koch) upoznaje Nizozemce Patricka i Karin (Fedja van Huêt, Karina Smulders). Danci i Nizozemci naizgled kliknu na prvu, kao i njihova djeca, kćerka prvih Agnes (Liva Forsberg) i sin drugih Abel (Marius Damslev).

Nedugo nakon povratka kući, Bjørn i Louise primaju pismo od Patricka i Karin u kojem ih oni pozivaju da dođu jedan vikend u njihovu kuću na selu. Louise ima dvojbe zbog "vikenda na nizozemskom selu s ljudima koje jedva znamo", ali Bjørn smatra da bi trebali poći jer bi bilo "nepristojno" ako odbiju poziv.

"Što je najgore što se može dogoditi", pita se njihov prijatelj kad mu spomenu situaciju. Ovo je horor i da se nešto najgore "mora" dogoditi u startu sugerira zlokobna glazba, ali pitanje je što točno i dokle će Tafdrup otići u događajnosti "najgoreg".

Znaci upozorenja izdani su zarana, ali redatelj izvrsno balansira između onog što je društveno prihvaćeno kao normalno i nenormalno, tj. pristojnosti i nepristojnosti te konzervativnosti i slobodoumnosti utjelovljene u Dancima i Nizozemcima, tako da se može činiti kako je možda sve ipak okej.

Jer, to što se domaćini pohvataju na plesnom podiju restorana ispred gostiju ne znači da su psihopati, niti Patrickova vožnja pod utjecajem alkohola i puštanje glasne muzike u autu na povratku kući. No, s druge strane, čudno je doživjeti ignoriranje roditelja na povremeno tuljenje sina koji je "rođen bez jezika" (!).

Zrno sumnje klija i kad Bjørn opazi da ga je Patrick ćirio dok je vodio ljubav s Louise, a atmosfera nelagode raste kad se Patrick izdere na Abela tijekom djetetova izvođenja obične plesne točke s Agnes kojoj Karin drži prodike kao da je njezina kćer i neobično često voli uzeti škare u ruke.

Tenzije u zraku sve se više mogu rezati škarama, ali redatelj svako malo dade gledatelju privid (lažne) sigurnosti, tipa u "bondingu" pećinskog alfa-muškarca Patricka i slabića Bjørna koji priznaje domaćinu da vodi monoton život i želi izbaciti iz sebe ono što dugo potiskuje, makar da primordijalno muški vrisne iz punih pluća usred ničega zajedno s novim prijateljem.

Tada se čini da bi Bjørn mogao uzgojiti par muda, ali on i dalje robuje mandatornoj pristojnosti političke korektnosti današnjice, pa prema domaćinu želi biti uljudan i ne uvrijediti ga odlaskom bez pozdrava, iako je sve više jasno da bi ga trebao pozdraviti i odmagliti s ženom i kćerkom. Kompulzivna uljudnost skupo će koštati danski par kad neuljudni domaćini iskoriste to protiv gostiju i njihova nepovratna agonija krene da im više nitko ne može pomoći, ponajmanje gledatelj.

Iako cijelo vrijeme gradi film prema tome, redatelj zaslužuje pohvalu što do završnice nagoni gledatelja da, unatoč anticipaciji jeze, misli kako se neizbježni horor nekako ipak može izbjeći u "hajde, ima još nade" stilu i da se Dancima ništa neće desiti, posebice nakon što Louise u nekoliko navrata kaže kćerkici "Sad si s mamom i tatom, ništa ti se ne može dogoditi".

Nada možda umire posljednja, ali umire, a svjetlo za koje Agnes moli roditelje da ostane upaljeno bit će ugašeno u završnici. Bezumno nasilje na kraju dovodi "Ne govori zlo" u vezu sa "Strancima" Bryana Bertina. Pitanje je isto u oba filma: "Zašto to radite?", ali odgovor je drukčiji. Nekad je glasio "Zato što ste bili kod kuće". Sada glasi "Jer nam dopuštate".
