Spas u zadnji čas stiže za neretvanske mandarine, ali i drugo voće i povrće, kruške, breskve, šljive, jabuke, smokve, rajčice, paprike, pa čak i krumpire koje napada sredozemna voćna muha.

Hrvatska agencija za poljoprivredu i hranu (HAPIH) nabavlja 448.000.000 (četiristo četrdeset i osam milijuna) laboratorijski uzgojenih i steriliziranih kukuljica sredozemne voćne muhe (Ceratitis capitata), koje bi trebale štititi neretvanske plantaže od invazije sredozemne voćne muhe. Tako je objavljen "nuklearni rat" sredozemnoj voćnoj muhi.

Nabava se odnosi na 56 pošiljki od po osam milijuna steriliziranih kukuljica, ukupno 448 milijuna kukuljica, a dinamika dostavljanja pošiljki je dva puta tjedno. Vrijeme transporta od proizvođača do Opuzena mora biti najviše 45 sati. Vrijednost nabavke sterilnih kukaca procijenjena je na 489.415 eura. Nabavka sterilnih kukuljica ima i posebne zahtjeve pa tako kukuljice moraju biti obojene fluorescentnom bojom u prahu. Također moraju biti sterilizirane 24 do 48 sati prije početka izlijeganja muhe s dozom ionizirajućega zračenja.

Ravnateljica Hrvatske agencije za poljoprivredu i hranu (HAPIH-a) Darija Sokolić pojašnjava kako je HAPIH do sada raspisao dva natječaja javne nabave za sterilizirane kukuljice, međutim, unatoč svim naporima i osiguranim sredstvima nije bilo prijavitelja. Do kraja godine planirano je raspisivanje novog natječaja, za koji je Ministarstvo poljoprivrede osiguralo dodatna sredstva kako bi povećalo interes i osiguralo provedbu programa suzbijanja sredozemne voćne muhe u dolini Neretve sljedeće godine, istaknula je Sokolić.

Nažalost, ove jeseni sredozemna voćna muha "brala" je naveliko neretvanske mandarine, gotovo jednako kao i poljoprivrednici, jer, za razliku od prethodnih godina, HAPIH nije nabavio sterilne kukce pa se muha nakotila. Stotine je tona trulih plodova koji otpadaju sa stabla jer ih je "ubola" muha.

Nakon što mandarina požuti, muha je ubode i u nju položi jajašca iz kojih se u idućem razvojnom stadiju izleže ličinka crv koji se hrani pulpom mandarina, koje u konačnici istrule i otpadnu sa stabla. Za proizvođače mandarina problem je velik. Do sada su sterilni mužjaci sredozemne voćne muhe nabavljali u Izraelu, ali od toga ove godine nije bilo ništa.

Podsjetimo, u poplavi različitih rješenja, poput postavljanja žutih lovki, kao iznimno učinkovita pojavila se biološka metoda poznatija kao "tehnika sterilnih kukaca" (SIT tehnika), koja je krenula iz Izraela, a svoju primjenu doživjela je i u ostalim agrumarskim zemljama EU-a.

Riječ je o masovnom laboratorijskom uzgoju sterilnih mužjaka (koji su izloženi visokim dozama zračenja da bi postali sterilni) te njihovu ispuštanju u prirodu, gdje su brojčano nadmoćnijih prema prirodnim mužjacima. Naime, u prirodno okruženje pusti se nekoliko milijuna sterilnih kukaca koji se pare s divljim ženkama, ali ne razvijaju potomstvo zbog steriliteta. Rezultat ove metode sterilnih kukaca je da ženka sredozemne voćne muhe odlaže sterilna jaja iz kojih se ne razvijaju ličinke.

Trule mandarine idealno su mjesto za širenje sredozemne voćne muhe. Stoga stručnjaci upozoravaju da se otpali plodovi moraju zbrinuti na odgovarajući način na odlagalištima biootpada ili se trebaju zatrpati u zemlju na dubini od tridesetak centimetara.

Spas u zadnji čas stiže za neretvanske mandarine, ali i drugo voće i povrće, kruške, breskve, šljive, jabuke, smokve, rajčice, paprike, pa čak i krumpire koje napada sredozemna voćna muha.

Hrvatska agencija za poljoprivredu i hranu (HAPIH) nabavlja 448.000.000 (četiristo četrdeset i osam milijuna) laboratorijski uzgojenih i steriliziranih kukuljica sredozemne voćne muhe (Ceratitis capitata), koje bi trebale štititi neretvanske plantaže od invazije sredozemne voćne muhe. Tako je objavljen "nuklearni rat" sredozemnoj voćnoj muhi.

Nabava se odnosi na 56 pošiljki od po osam milijuna steriliziranih kukuljica, ukupno 448 milijuna kukuljica, a dinamika dostavljanja pošiljki je dva puta tjedno. Vrijeme transporta od proizvođača do Opuzena mora biti najviše 45 sati. Vrijednost nabavke sterilnih kukaca procijenjena je na 489.415 eura. Nabavka sterilnih kukuljica ima i posebne zahtjeve pa tako kukuljice moraju biti obojene fluorescentnom bojom u prahu. Također moraju biti sterilizirane 24 do 48 sati prije početka izlijeganja muhe s dozom ionizirajućega zračenja.

Ravnateljica Hrvatske agencije za poljoprivredu i hranu (HAPIH-a) Darija Sokolić pojašnjava kako je HAPIH do sada raspisao dva natječaja javne nabave za sterilizirane kukuljice, međutim, unatoč svim naporima i osiguranim sredstvima nije bilo prijavitelja. Do kraja godine planirano je raspisivanje novog natječaja, za koji je Ministarstvo poljoprivrede osiguralo dodatna sredstva kako bi povećalo interes i osiguralo provedbu programa suzbijanja sredozemne voćne muhe u dolini Neretve sljedeće godine, istaknula je Sokolić.

Nažalost, ove jeseni sredozemna voćna muha "brala" je naveliko neretvanske mandarine, gotovo jednako kao i poljoprivrednici, jer, za razliku od prethodnih godina, HAPIH nije nabavio sterilne kukce pa se muha nakotila. Stotine je tona trulih plodova koji otpadaju sa stabla jer ih je "ubola" muha.

Nakon što mandarina požuti, muha je ubode i u nju položi jajašca iz kojih se u idućem razvojnom stadiju izleže ličinka crv koji se hrani pulpom mandarina, koje u konačnici istrule i otpadnu sa stabla. Za proizvođače mandarina problem je velik. Do sada su sterilni mužjaci sredozemne voćne muhe nabavljali u Izraelu, ali od toga ove godine nije bilo ništa.

Podsjetimo, u poplavi različitih rješenja, poput postavljanja žutih lovki, kao iznimno učinkovita pojavila se biološka metoda poznatija kao "tehnika sterilnih kukaca" (SIT tehnika), koja je krenula iz Izraela, a svoju primjenu doživjela je i u ostalim agrumarskim zemljama EU-a.

Riječ je o masovnom laboratorijskom uzgoju sterilnih mužjaka (koji su izloženi visokim dozama zračenja da bi postali sterilni) te njihovu ispuštanju u prirodu, gdje su brojčano nadmoćnijih prema prirodnim mužjacima. Naime, u prirodno okruženje pusti se nekoliko milijuna sterilnih kukaca koji se pare s divljim ženkama, ali ne razvijaju potomstvo zbog steriliteta. Rezultat ove metode sterilnih kukaca je da ženka sredozemne voćne muhe odlaže sterilna jaja iz kojih se ne razvijaju ličinke.

Trule mandarine idealno su mjesto za širenje sredozemne voćne muhe. Stoga stručnjaci upozoravaju da se otpali plodovi moraju zbrinuti na odgovarajući način na odlagalištima biootpada ili se trebaju zatrpati u zemlju na dubini od tridesetak centimetara.
