Svaka je smrt šok za najbliže, a posebno kada je riječ o tinejdžeru, 19-godišnjaku koji je do tada bio posve zdrav.

To se dogodilo Niallu Kavanaghu iz Suffolka u Velikoj Britaniji koji se u rujnu 2021. godine tijekom nogometne utakmice naprosto srušio. Otišao je kod liječnika u bolnicu koji su ga pregledali i poslali kući sa sumnjom na infekciju uha. To su ponovili i iduće subote.

Njegova majka Claire Kavanagh rekla je da su se Niallovi simptomi brzo pogoršali. Njen aktivni i komunikativni sin počeo je zaboravljati da je razgovarao s njom. Niallovo stanje naglo se pogoršalo do te mjere da nije mogao hodati niti govoriti pa ga je obitelj hitno odvela u bolnicu. "Niall je bio svjestan i sjedio, gestikulirao je, ali nije mogao govoriti. Stavili smo ga u automobil i sami ga odvezli u bolnicu Addenbrooke. Osoblje je mislilo da je nešto uzeo", prepričava majka za NY Post, prenosi Net.hr.

Ono za što su liječnici mislili da je infekcija uha ispostavilo se kao izuzetno agresivni tumor mozga.

Snimka iz listopada 2021. otkrila je leziju na Niallovom mozgu. Liječnici su se bojali da on neće preživjeti hitnu operaciju jer nikada nisu vidjeli nešto tako agresivno kao Niallov tumor mozga. Majka je drugoj dvojici sinova rekla da se oproste od brata. "To nam je gotovo oduzelo svaku nadu", kaže Claire.

Ipak, Niall se oporavio i tri tjedna je mogao razgovarati i samostalno disati. Međutim, nakon postupka uklanjanja drenaže iz glave nije ponovno došao k svijesti. " "On je postupno slabio nakon toga. Rečeno mi je da Niallov mozak otiče, i nisu mogli ništa učiniti da to zaustave. U osnovi, umirao je", rekla je majka.

Niall Kavanagh preminuo je 1. studenog 2021. godine, a majka vjeruje da se njegov život mogao spasiti da mu se nije postavila pogrešna dijagnoza.

Sada je Claire Kavanagh pokrenula peticiju kojom se traži financiranje vlade za proširenje istraživanja raka mozga. "Potičem druge da potpišu jer su zaista potrebna sredstva za istraživanje tumora mozga. Gubitak sina uništio mi je život, ne želim da se drugim obiteljima dogodi ista bol", rekla je Kavanagh, piše NY Post, prenosi Net.hr.

Svaka je smrt šok za najbliže, a posebno kada je riječ o tinejdžeru, 19-godišnjaku koji je do tada bio posve zdrav.

To se dogodilo Niallu Kavanaghu iz Suffolka u Velikoj Britaniji koji se u rujnu 2021. godine tijekom nogometne utakmice naprosto srušio. Otišao je kod liječnika u bolnicu koji su ga pregledali i poslali kući sa sumnjom na infekciju uha. To su ponovili i iduće subote.

Njegova majka Claire Kavanagh rekla je da su se Niallovi simptomi brzo pogoršali. Njen aktivni i komunikativni sin počeo je zaboravljati da je razgovarao s njom. Niallovo stanje naglo se pogoršalo do te mjere da nije mogao hodati niti govoriti pa ga je obitelj hitno odvela u bolnicu. "Niall je bio svjestan i sjedio, gestikulirao je, ali nije mogao govoriti. Stavili smo ga u automobil i sami ga odvezli u bolnicu Addenbrooke. Osoblje je mislilo da je nešto uzeo", prepričava majka za NY Post, prenosi Net.hr.

Ono za što su liječnici mislili da je infekcija uha ispostavilo se kao izuzetno agresivni tumor mozga.

Snimka iz listopada 2021. otkrila je leziju na Niallovom mozgu. Liječnici su se bojali da on neće preživjeti hitnu operaciju jer nikada nisu vidjeli nešto tako agresivno kao Niallov tumor mozga. Majka je drugoj dvojici sinova rekla da se oproste od brata. "To nam je gotovo oduzelo svaku nadu", kaže Claire.

Ipak, Niall se oporavio i tri tjedna je mogao razgovarati i samostalno disati. Međutim, nakon postupka uklanjanja drenaže iz glave nije ponovno došao k svijesti. " "On je postupno slabio nakon toga. Rečeno mi je da Niallov mozak otiče, i nisu mogli ništa učiniti da to zaustave. U osnovi, umirao je", rekla je majka.

Niall Kavanagh preminuo je 1. studenog 2021. godine, a majka vjeruje da se njegov život mogao spasiti da mu se nije postavila pogrešna dijagnoza.

Sada je Claire Kavanagh pokrenula peticiju kojom se traži financiranje vlade za proširenje istraživanja raka mozga.
