Situated between Solin and Trogir, Kaštela are a typical town created not so long ago by merging seven settlements into one administrative unit.

Ans those settlements, or according to the Kaštela locals „villages“, that extend along the coast from east to west for 20 kilometers until Split Airport. They have a long and interesting history, and each one is recognizable by its castle around which developed the old town nucleus with intertwined alleys around the square. One of the most well-known is Vitture Palace in Kaštel Lukšić where the Town Museum is located.

An attractive space is the summer stage where numerous cultural and entertainment events take place, including the performance of "Miljenko and Dobrila". With their tragic story, they are Romeo and Juliet from Kastela.

At the foot of Kozjak, the diligent heirs of the former farmers continue to produce wine and olives, and beyond the borders of Croatia, the autochthonous Crljenak, from Kaštela also known as Zinfandel (they have an identical genetic profile), is widespread in the USA. Riding in a carriage from Štafilić to Kambelovac is a special experience, as well as tasting homemade wine in numerous taverns. In Štafilić stands a 1500-year old olive tree which yields fruit even today.

The beauties and advantages of the slopes have also been discovered by investors, so an increasing number of luxury villas with swimming pools are ideal for a holiday, with a beautiful view of the Kastela Bay. Along with the family hotels, they enrich the tourist accommodation capacities with quality.

The attractiveness of the Kaštel fortifications were discovered by TV producers who chose Kaštilac in Kaštel Gomilici as the location for the fourth season of the planetary popular “Game of Thrones”. Numerous parks and the Biblical Garden are also worth visiting, and with its 1,400, mostly Mediterranean plant varieties planted on four hectares, the Botanical Garden of Ostrog Elementary School in Lukšić also attracts attention.
