Veljko Popović je naš najnagrađivaniji autor animiranih filmova koji je sa svojim timom radio i na efektima za Netflixovu seriju "Sjena i kost". Idealan kandidat za rubriku "Poznati o TV-u".

Treba li biti više animiranih filmova na televiziji i streamingu, ne samo onih američkih?

– Animacija nam daje uvid u čudesan svijet likovnosti i mašte! Način na koji animacija prepričava život je unikatan, zabavan i ostavlja dugotrajan utisak. Gledatelji bi svakako bili na dobitku kada bi imali više animiranog sadržaja na TV-u i streamingu.

Koliko si pratio Netflix prije rada na seriji "Shadow and Bone", a koliko poslije?

– Ljubitelj sam streaming platformi i dnevno konzumiram, mogao bih reći, i pretjerane količine sadržaja na Netflixu. To će vam uz negodovanje sigurno potvrditi i moja supruga. Dakle, veliki sam fan bio i ostao.

Jesi li se u potpunosti prebacio na streaminge ili voliš i dalje gledati linearnu televiziju?

– Manje-više sam se u potpunosti prebacio na streaming. Slabo trpim reklame pa me televizija sve manje privlači u svakodnevnom gledanju. No, s nostalgijom pamtim prošla vremena kada je postojala anticipacija TV programa koji smo čekali svakog četvrtka ili petka u tjednu, u doba kada nije postojao "binge watching" i streaming. Ta slatka anticipacija, špekuliranje o sudbinama TV glumaca u idućim epizodama je imala svoju draž koja je nestala.

Što ti je najdraže, a što najmanje drago gledati na streamingu?

– Najviše volim gledati animaciju, naravno, i to rado animirane serije. "Love, Death & Robots", "Blue Eye Samurai", "BoJack Horseman"... Osim animacije obožavam i kvalitetan SF kao "Altered Carbon", "Foundation", "3 Body Problem"... Filmove radije gledam u kinu, pa njih i najmanje gledam na streamingu.

A na linearnoj TV?

– Veliki sam fan HRT 3 programa. Pogotovo kada su u programu ciklusi filmova redatelja koje ja i supruga volimo, kao što su Wim Wenders, Eric Rohmer... Tada često imamo ritual noćnog gledanja filmova, kada su djeca zaspala. Brigita je odličan kurator filmskog programa, pogotovo klasika europskog art filma. Osim toga, s djecom znam gledati TV kvizove i dječje animirane programe, pogotovo Nickelodeon.

Je li televizija za tebe razbibriga ili informacija?

– Televizija mi je razbibriga, ako bih morao birati između te dvije definicije. Informacije do mene dolaze puno brže putem drugih kanala.

Koliko uopće uspiješ gledati redovno TV s obzirom na posao i nastupe s bendom "New Gondoliers"?

– Gledam streaming često! Pokretne slike, pogotovo animacija, moj su život. Osim što volim raditi filmove, obožavam ih i gledati. Upravo ta fleksibilnost da sam kuriram program i vrijeme gledanja dopušta mi da odgledam sve što me interesira. Ponekad možda i stvari koje bih trebao i preskočiti.

Kako kao glazbenik gledaš na sveprisutne glazbeno-pjevačke TV showove?

– Izbjegavam ih u širokom luku. Ne sviđa mi se uopće poruka koju šalju i kompetitivan duh koji podržavaju i guraju. Umjetnost, muziciranje i izražavanje za mene su nešto u potpunosti suprotno od onoga što se tu dešava. Glazba se po meni rađa u prljavim garažama gdje klinci pokušavaju imitirati svoje idole i usput izbaciti svoje frustracije, uobličiti svoje snove, strahove i maštanja u vidu glazbe, stihova i pjesme. To nije parada taštine u kojoj se vrijednost povezuje s odabirom nekog žirija ili najglasnijim pljeskom publike uz takozvanu zabavu pokoje zalutale izgubljene duše koja onda postane internetski "meme" za ismijavanje.

Eurosong i Baby Lasagna?

– Moram priznati da smo svi pomalo zaluđeni Eurosongom. Možda ipak žena i djeca više od mene, no ja se rado pridružim njihovoj energiji i uživam u zabavi. Taman i često bio prisiljen istrpiti glazbene brojeve koji su mi pomalo blesavi. Baby Lasagni želim pobjedu! Rekao bih prvi put od kada ja gledam Eurosong da uistinu imamo šansu za plasman među prva tri mjesta, ako ne i na pobjednički tron!

Veljko Popović je naš najnagrađivaniji autor animiranih filmova koji je sa svojim timom radio i na efektima za Netflixovu seriju "Sjena i kost". Idealan kandidat za rubriku "Poznati o TV-u".

Treba li biti više animiranih filmova na televiziji i streamingu, ne samo onih američkih?

– Animacija nam daje uvid u čudesan svijet likovnosti i mašte! Način na koji animacija prepričava život je unikatan, zabavan i ostavlja dugotrajan utisak. Gledatelji bi svakako bili na dobitku kada bi imali više animiranog sadržaja na TV-u i streamingu.

Koliko si pratio Netflix prije rada na seriji "Shadow and Bone", a koliko poslije?

– Ljubitelj sam streaming platformi i dnevno konzumiram, mogao bih reći, i pretjerane količine sadržaja na Netflixu. To će vam uz negodovanje sigurno potvrditi i moja supruga. Dakle, veliki sam fan bio i ostao.

Jesi li se u potpunosti prebacio na streaminge ili voliš i dalje gledati linearnu televiziju?

– Manje-više sam se u potpunosti prebacio na streaming. Slabo trpim reklame pa me televizija sve manje privlači u svakodnevnom gledanju. No, s nostalgijom pamtim prošla vremena kada je postojala anticipacija TV programa koji smo čekali svakog četvrtka ili petka u tjednu, u doba kada nije postojao "binge watching" i streaming. Ta slatka anticipacija, špekuliranje o sudbinama TV glumaca u idućim epizodama je imala svoju draž koja je nestala.

Što ti je najdraže, a što najmanje drago gledati na streamingu?

– Najviše volim gledati animaciju, naravno, i to rado animirane serije. "Love, Death & Robots", "Blue Eye Samurai", "BoJack Horseman"... Osim animacije obožavam i kvalitetan SF kao "Altered Carbon", "Foundation", "3 Body Problem"... Filmove radije gledam u kinu, pa njih i najmanje gledam na streamingu.

Nickelodeon s djecom

A na linearnoj TV?

– Veliki sam fan HRT 3 programa. Pogotovo kada su u programu ciklusi filmova redatelja koje ja i supruga volimo, kao što su Wim Wenders, Eric Rohmer... Tada često imamo ritual noćnog gledanja filmova, kada su djeca zaspala. Brigita je odličan kurator filmskog programa, pogotovo klasika europskog art filma. Osim toga, s djecom znam gledati TV kvizove i dječje animirane programe, pogotovo Nickelodeon.

Je li televizija za tebe razbibriga ili informacija?

– Televizija mi je razbibriga, ako bih morao birati između te dvije definicije. Informacije do mene dolaze puno brže putem drugih kanala.

Koliko uopće uspiješ gledati redovno TV s obzirom na posao i nastupe s bendom "New Gondoliers"?

– Gledam streaming često! Pokretne slike, pogotovo animacija, moj su život. Osim što volim raditi filmove, obožavam ih i gledati. Upravo ta fleksibilnost da sam kuriram program i vrijeme gledanja dopušta mi da odgledam sve što me interesira. Ponekad možda i stvari koje bih trebao i preskočiti.

Kako kao glazbenik gledaš na sveprisutne glazbeno-pjevačke TV showove?

– Izbjegavam ih u širokom luku. Ne sviđa mi se uopće poruka koju šalju i kompetitivan duh koji podržavaju i guraju. Umjetnost, muziciranje i izražavanje za mene su nešto u potpunosti suprotno od onoga što se tu dešava. Glazba se po meni rađa u prljavim garažama gdje klinci pokušavaju imitirati svoje idole i usput izbaciti svoje frustracije, uobličiti svoje snove, strahove i maštanja u vidu glazbe, stihova i pjesme. To nije parada taštine u kojoj se vrijednost povezuje s odabirom nekog žirija ili najglasnijim pljeskom publike uz takozvanu zabavu pokoje zalutale izgubljene duše koja onda postane internetski "meme" za ismijavanje.

Eurosong i Baby Lasagna?

– Moram priznati da smo svi pomalo zaluđeni Eurosongom. Možda ipak žena i djeca više od mene, no ja se rado pridružim njihovoj energiji i uživam u zabavi. Taman i često bio prisiljen istrpiti glazbene brojeve koji su mi pomalo blesavi. Baby Lasagni želim pobjedu! Rekao bih prvi put od kada ja gledam Eurosong da uistinu imamo šansu za plasman među prva tri mjesta, ako ne i na pobjednički tron!
