Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava u nedjelju je kao dobar korak pozdravio poruku patrijarha SPC-a Porfirija kako treba moliti za sve nedužne žrtve, ali i poručio kako ostaje neprihvatljiva situacija u kojoj je SPC odlučila promovirati ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja.
Nakon obiježavanja 31. obljetnice pogibije general bojnika Blage Zadre, Penava je na upit novinara da komentira poruke patrijarha Porfirija kako je potrebno moliti za sve žrtve s obje strane, bez razlike, izjavio kako je poziv da se oda pijetet prema nevino ubijenim žrtvama dobar korak i da to pozdravlja, ali da ostaje situacija koja je neopisiva i neprihvatljiva.
- Kao vjernik poštujem sve vjerske institucije pa tako i Srpsku pravoslavnu crkvu (SPC), ali svatko mora biti svjestan da, onoga trenutka kada promovirate ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja, time zatvarate vrata i da je to priča koja u Vukovaru nema što tražiti - poručio je Penava.
Ističe kako bi "volio da i u Zagrebu postanu svjesniji da je priča Vukovara i priča Hrvatske", jer smatra kako nije dobro da Vukovar uvijek bude na "na nekom braniku ili isturenom položaju, a da svi drugi pate od političke korektnosti".
Ako mora postojati crta ispod koje ne idemo, mislim da ćemo se svi u Hrvatskoj složiti da su Vojislav Šešelj i četništvo linija na koju mi nikada nećemo pristati. Nadam se da je taj stav općeprihvaćena vrijednost u Hrvatskoj, jer inače ova današnja obljetnica Blage Zadre gubi smisao, rekao je Penava.
Građanima RH srpske i bilo koje druge nacionalnosti poželio je da se u hrvatskoj državi osjećaju dobro, da štuju svoje vjerske običaje i kulturu, ali da to sve skupa "nema veze s velikosrpskim hegemonizom, agresijom na Hrvatsku, pretenzijama prema tuđem teritoriju i svim drugim stvarima kojima smo svjedočili prije 30. godina".

Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava u nedjelju je kao dobar korak pozdravio poruku patrijarha SPC-a Porfirija kako treba moliti za sve nedužne žrtve, ali i poručio kako ostaje neprihvatljiva situacija u kojoj je SPC odlučila promovirati ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja.
Nakon obiježavanja 31. obljetnice pogibije general bojnika Blage Zadre, Penava je na upit novinara da komentira poruke patrijarha Porfirija kako je potrebno moliti za sve žrtve s obje strane, bez razlike, izjavio kako je poziv da se oda pijetet prema nevino ubijenim žrtvama dobar korak i da to pozdravlja, ali da ostaje situacija koja je neopisiva i neprihvatljiva.
- Kao vjernik poštujem sve vjerske institucije pa tako i Srpsku pravoslavnu crkvu (SPC), ali svatko mora biti svjestan da, onoga trenutka kada promovirate ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja, time zatvarate vrata i da je to priča koja u Vukovaru nema što tražiti - poručio je Penava.
Ističe kako bi "volio da i u Zagrebu postanu svjesniji da je priča Vukovara i priča Hrvatske", jer smatra kako nije dobro da Vukovar uvijek bude na "na nekom braniku ili isturenom položaju, a da svi drugi pate od političke korektnosti".
Ako mora postojati crta ispod koje ne idemo, mislim da ćemo se svi u Hrvatskoj složiti da su Vojislav Šešelj i četništvo linija na koju mi nikada nećemo pristati. Nadam se da je taj stav općeprihvaćena vrijednost u Hrvatskoj, jer inače ova današnja obljetnica Blage Zadre gubi smisao, rekao je Penava.
Građanima RH srpske i bilo koje druge nacionalnosti poželio je da se u hrvatskoj državi osjećaju dobro, da štuju svoje vjerske običaje i kulturu, ali da to sve skupa "nema veze s velikosrpskim hegemonizom, agresijom na Hrvatsku, pretenzijama prema tuđem teritoriju i svim drugim stvarima kojima smo svjedočili prije 30. godina".

Penava: Porfirijeva poruka je dobar korak, ali situacija sa Šešeljom je neprihvatljiva

Vukovarski gradonačelnik Ivan Penava u nedjelju je kao dobar korak pozdravio poruku patrijarha SPC-a Porfirija kako treba moliti za sve nedužne žrtve, ali i poručio kako ostaje neprihvatljiva situacija u kojoj je SPC odlučila promovirati ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja.
Nakon obiježavanja 31. obljetnice pogibije general bojnika Blage Zadre, Penava je na upit novinara da komentira poruke patrijarha Porfirija kako je potrebno moliti za sve žrtve s obje strane, bez razlike, izjavio kako je poziv da se oda pijetet prema nevino ubijenim žrtvama dobar korak i da to pozdravlja, ali da ostaje situacija koja je neopisiva i neprihvatljiva.
- Kao vjernik poštujem sve vjerske institucije pa tako i Srpsku pravoslavnu crkvu (SPC), ali svatko mora biti svjestan da, onoga trenutka kada promovirate ratnog zločinca Vojislava Šešelja, time zatvarate vrata i da je to priča koja u Vukovaru nema što tražiti - poručio je Penava.
Ističe kako bi "volio da i u Zagrebu postanu svjesniji da je priča Vukovara i priča Hrvatske", jer smatra kako nije dobro da Vukovar uvijek bude na "na nekom braniku ili isturenom položaju, a da svi drugi pate od političke korektnosti".
Ako mora postojati crta ispod koje ne idemo, mislim da ćemo se svi u Hrvatskoj složiti da su Vojislav Šešelj i četništvo linija na koju mi nikada nećemo pristati. Nadam se da je taj stav općeprihvaćena vrijednost u Hrvatskoj, jer inače ova današnja obljetnica Blage Zadre gubi smisao, rekao je Penava.
Građanima RH srpske i bilo koje druge nacionalnosti poželio je da se u hrvatskoj državi osjećaju dobro, da štuju svoje vjerske običaje i kulturu, ali da to sve skupa "nema veze s velikosrpskim hegemonizom, agresijom na Hrvatsku, pretenzijama prema tuđem teritoriju i svim drugim stvarima kojima smo svjedočili prije 30. godina".
