Perković je do srebra stigla hicem u posljednjoj, šestoj seriji uoči koje je držala nezahvalno četvrto mjesto sa 65.37m. Ispred nje su bile Kubanka Yaime Perez (65.46m) i Njemica Nadine Mueller (65.53m).

Zlatnu medalju osvojila je 25-godišnja Kubanka Denia Caballero, koja je već u prvoj seriji bacila disk do 69.28m, što je bilo nedostižno za konkurenciju. Caballero je u Peking stigla s najboljim rezultatom sezone (70.65m), a da joj je ovo najbolja godina u karijeri potvrđuje i da je svih svojih 10 najboljih hitaca izvela upravo u 2015. U finalu je izvela svoj treći najbolji hitac u karijeri.

Perković je imala problema s izbačajem tijekom čitavog natjecanja, u prvoj, trećoj i petoj seriji njezin disk je završavao u mreži s desne strane, dok je u drugoj seriji bacila 65.35m, a u četvrtoj 65.37m. Ipak, u posljednjoj seriji smogla je psihičke snage za najbolji hitac natjecanja koji joj je donio srebro.

Sandri, naviknutoj na zlatne medalje, ovo je prvo srebro s velikih natjecanja.

- Ne smijem biti nezadovoljna medaljom na velikog natjecanju, srebrom do kojeg sam došla s četvrte pozicije. I dalje sam veliko ime svjetske atletike, čast je biti i na drugom mjestu, pričala je Sandra nakon svečanog proglašenja.

Pričala je Sandra i o propuštenoj prilici da obrani zlato:

- Ako netko treba biti ljutit onda sam to ja jer sam izgubila svjetsko zlato. U vrhunskoj sam formi, nikada nisam bila spremnija, a to potvrđuje i moja reakcija na izazov koji mi je postavila Perez u posljednjoj seriji.

Sandra je dodatno opisala zadnj hitac, kao i one koji su završili u mreži.

- Bacila sam ga samo rukama i onako položen odletio je preko 67 metara. Da sam uspjela izvesti kako treba jedan od onih hitaca koji su završili u mreži i dalje bih bila svjetska prvakinja, opisala je Sandra.

Uz zlato iz Moskve i srebro iz Pekinga sa SP-a, Perković ima i zlato s Olimpijskih igara u Londonu 2012., te tri naslova europske prvakinje (Stuttgart 2010, Helsinki 2012, Zurich 2014).

Brončano odličje osvojila je Mueller (29), kojoj je to druga medalja sa SP, nakon srebra iz Daegua 2011.

Perković je do srebra stigla hicem u posljednjoj, šestoj seriji uoči koje je držala nezahvalno četvrto mjesto sa 65.37m. Ispred nje su bile Kubanka Yaime Perez (65.46m) i Njemica Nadine Mueller (65.53m).

Zlatnu medalju osvojila je 25-godišnja Kubanka Denia Caballero, koja je već u prvoj seriji bacila disk do 69.28m, što je bilo nedostižno za konkurenciju. Caballero je u Peking stigla s najboljim rezultatom sezone (70.65m), a da joj je ovo najbolja godina u karijeri potvrđuje i da je svih svojih 10 najboljih hitaca izvela upravo u 2015. U finalu je izvela svoj treći najbolji hitac u karijeri.

Perković je imala problema s izbačajem tijekom čitavog natjecanja, u prvoj, trećoj i petoj seriji njezin disk je završavao u mreži s desne strane, dok je u drugoj seriji bacila 65.35m, a u četvrtoj 65.37m. Ipak, u posljednjoj seriji smogla je psihičke snage za najbolji hitac natjecanja koji joj je donio srebro.

Sandri, naviknutoj na zlatne medalje, ovo je prvo srebro s velikih natjecanja.

- Ne smijem biti nezadovoljna medaljom na velikog natjecanju, srebrom do kojeg sam došla s četvrte pozicije. I dalje sam veliko ime svjetske atletike, čast je biti i na drugom mjestu, pričala je Sandra nakon svečanog proglašenja.

Pričala je Sandra i o propuštenoj prilici da obrani zlato:

- Ako netko treba biti ljutit onda sam to ja jer sam izgubila svjetsko zlato. U vrhunskoj sam formi, nikada nisam bila spremnija, a to potvrđuje i moja reakcija na izazov koji mi je postavila Perez u posljednjoj seriji.

Sandra je dodatno opisala zadnj hitac, kao i one koji su završili u mreži.

- Bacila sam ga samo rukama i onako položen odletio je preko 67 metara. Da sam uspjela izvesti kako treba jedan od onih hitaca koji su završili u mreži i dalje bih bila svjetska prvakinja, opisala je Sandra.

Uz zlato iz Moskve i srebro iz Pekinga sa SP-a, Perković ima i zlato s Olimpijskih igara u Londonu 2012., te tri naslova europske prvakinje (Stuttgart 2010, Helsinki 2012, Zurich 2014).

Brončano odličje osvojila je Mueller (29), kojoj je to druga medalja sa SP, nakon srebra iz Daegua 2011.
