Mislili smo, to će potrajati, ipak od ponedjeljka ne radi, ali Bernard je stvar riješio u pet minuta.

- Evo, to nam je čovjek jutros poslao autobusom iz Splita – ispružio pred nas dlan s dva mala elektronska prekidača. U drugoj ruci drži plavu kuvertu s adresom ”tvrtka Locum Zadar”.

- I, sad radi?

- Radi. Ko sat! – nasmije se, pa se sjuri dole do Trga. Dođe do pred samu Ložu i okrene se prema zvoniku, gleda kako se kazaljke lijeno vraćaju na točno vrijeme. Onda se žustrim korakom onim spiralni stubištem opet uspne do nas.

Luka je pokušavao uhvatiti što bolji kut za snimanje, nikad tu u zvoniku Vele straže nije bilo puno prostora, ali je svaki put kad bi došli bilo nekako novo i posebno.

Sjećamo se prvog puta, tamo negdje sredinom devedesetih, prije nego što je zvonik obnovljen, dok je mehanički sat popravljao dragi barba Šime Miočev, sve dok nije onemoćao, kada smo se probijali kroz plijesan i prašinu, s baterijskom lampom u rukama. Obnovom zvonika sanirana je unutrašnjost, trošne drvene grede su uklonjene, a mehanički sat je zamijenila elektronika.

- Crkli su – kaže Bernard ravnodušno. - Nije da se često kvare, ali se kvare...

Zamijenio ih je u tren oka, dvije elektronske sklopke veličine nokta na palcu. Staklo ure prema Trgu razbijeno je na dva mjesta, centralni okulus samo što se odlomi i padne nekome na glavu, a napukla je i staklena podloga ispod broja deset.

Stari satni mehanizam sa zupčanicima, sajlama i utezima, ostao je na istom mjestu, konzerviran ali nezaštićen tako da nepotrebno kupi prašinu i oksidira. A nije da nije vrijedan. Naprotiv.

Možda je to najvrijedniji element novog zvonika podignutog krajem 18. stoljeća na Veloj straži. Izgradnju je započeo vojni inženjer Nikola Vojnović Nakić, a dovršio je Frane Zavoreo 1799. godine. Na mjestu bivšeg tornja za javni sat, kako piše Pavuša Vežić, podignut je novi visoki s balkonom i urom po sredini te lođom za zvona na vrhu.

- Elektronika, prijatelju, sad ti je sve to elektronika... – kucka Bernard kacavidom po pocrnijelim zupčanicima. Na prednjem dijelu mehanizma stoji okrugla bijela podloga s rimskim brojkama kazaljkama, zaustavljeno vrijeme u nekom boljem vremenu, a na njoj elegantnim fontom istaknuto ime brenda ”Fratelli Sorari”. Ispod toga piše ”Pesariis Udine”, ime malog mjesta pored Udina, gdje je ta tvrtka uglednih talijanskih urara iz regije Friuli osnovana 1725. godine.

I do danas je još uvijek aktivna, u tih skoro tristo godina postojanja pretvorila se u globalnog igrača koji danas svoje digitalne ure ugrađuje u aerodrome svjetskih metropola, od New Yorka do New Delhija. Čak su 2004. debitirali u Hollywoodu u čuvenom filmu ”The Terminal” Stevena Spielberga. U našu Velu stražu njihova je ura ugrađena vjerojatno prije otvaranja, što znači da je najmanje 223 godine na istom mjestu.

Ali ništa nije slučajno. Nekidan smo na ovom mjestu drvili o tome kako su nam novi gradski satovi na Voštarnici i u Jazinama neke čudne sorte, novi a svaku malo se pokvare. Gradski pročelnik za komunalne djelatnosti Robertino Dujela tom je prilikom rekao kako bi jedan novi javni sat, ali nešto bolje kvalitete, rado postavio negdje na Poluotoku. Ima li bolje adrese od braće Sorari za naručiti novi, pitamo se, a ovaj stari neka nam usput spakiraju za njihovu i našu uspomenu. Koji bi to bio hommage jednom autentičnom gradskom znamenu, ali i zanatu pred odumiranjem.

Bernarda to puno ne zabrinjava, svoj je posao za danas završio. Pušta elektroniku da sama sat dovede u red, da se kašnjenja od tjedna za nama ponište, kako bi sutra kad prođemo Trgom opet znali koja je ura...

- Evo, to nam je čovjek jutros poslao autobusom iz Splita – ispružio pred nas dlan s dva mala elektronska prekidača. U drugoj ruci drži plavu kuvertu s adresom ”tvrtka Locum Zadar”.

- I, sad radi?

- Radi. Ko sat! – nasmije se, pa se sjuri dole do Trga. Dođe do pred samu Ložu i okrene se prema zvoniku, gleda kako se kazaljke lijeno vraćaju na točno vrijeme. Onda se žustrim korakom onim spiralni stubištem opet uspne do nas.

Luka je pokušavao uhvatiti što bolji kut za snimanje, nikad tu u zvoniku Vele straže nije bilo puno prostora, ali je svaki put kad bi došli bilo nekako novo i posebno.

Sjećamo se prvog puta, tamo negdje sredinom devedesetih, prije nego što je zvonik obnovljen, dok je mehanički sat popravljao dragi barba Šime Miočev, sve dok nije onemoćao, kada smo se probijali kroz plijesan i prašinu, s baterijskom lampom u rukama. Obnovom zvonika sanirana je unutrašnjost, trošne drvene grede su uklonjene, a mehanički sat je zamijenila elektronika.

- Crkli su – kaže Bernard ravnodušno. - Nije da se često kvare, ali se kvare...

Zamijenio ih je u tren oka, dvije elektronske sklopke veličine nokta na palcu. Staklo ure prema Trgu razbijeno je na dva mjesta, centralni okulus samo što se odlomi i padne nekome na glavu, a napukla je i staklena podloga ispod broja deset.

Stari satni mehanizam sa zupčanicima, sajlama i utezima, ostao je na istom mjestu, konzerviran ali nezaštićen tako da nepotrebno kupi prašinu i oksidira. A nije da nije vrijedan. Naprotiv.

Možda je to najvrijedniji element novog zvonika podignutog krajem 18. stoljeća na Veloj straži. Izgradnju je započeo vojni inženjer Nikola Vojnović Nakić, a dovršio je Frane Zavoreo 1799. godine. Na mjestu bivšeg tornja za javni sat, kako piše Pavuša Vežić, podignut je novi visoki s balkonom i urom po sredini te lođom za zvona na vrhu.

- Elektronika, prijatelju, sad ti je sve to elektronika... – kucka Bernard kacavidom po pocrnijelim zupčanicima. Na prednjem dijelu mehanizma stoji okrugla bijela podloga s rimskim brojkama kazaljkama, zaustavljeno vrijeme u nekom boljem vremenu, a na njoj elegantnim fontom istaknuto ime brenda ”Fratelli Sorari”. Ispod toga piše ”Pesariis Udine”, ime malog mjesta pored Udina, gdje je ta tvrtka uglednih talijanskih urara iz regije Friuli osnovana 1725. godine.

I do danas je još uvijek aktivna, u tih skoro tristo godina postojanja pretvorila se u globalnog igrača koji danas svoje digitalne ure ugrađuje u aerodrome svjetskih metropola, od New Yorka do New Delhija. Čak su 2004. debitirali u Hollywoodu u čuvenom filmu ”The Terminal” Stevena Spielberga. U našu Velu stražu njihova je ura ugrađena vjerojatno prije otvaranja, što znači da je najmanje 223 godine na istom mjestu.

Ali ništa nije slučajno. Nekidan smo na ovom mjestu drvili o tome kako su nam novi gradski satovi na Voštarnici i u Jazinama neke čudne sorte, novi a svaku malo se pokvare. Gradski pročelnik za komunalne djelatnosti Robertino Dujela tom je prilikom rekao kako bi jedan novi javni sat, ali nešto bolje kvalitete, rado postavio negdje na Poluotoku. Ima li bolje adrese od braće Sorari za naručiti novi, pitamo se, a ovaj stari neka nam usput spakiraju za njihovu i našu uspomenu. Koji bi to bio hommage jednom autentičnom gradskom znamenu, ali i zanatu pred odumiranjem.

Bernarda to puno ne zabrinjava, svoj je posao za danas završio. Pušta elektroniku da sama sat dovede u red, da se kašnjenja od tjedna za nama ponište, kako bi sutra kad prođemo Trgom opet znali koja je ura...

Mislili smo, to će potrajati, ipak od ponedjeljka ne radi, ali Bernard je stvar riješio u pet minuta.
