Polarni medvjed koji je lutao arktičkim predjelima na sjeveru Rusije spašen je nakon što mu je jezik zapeo u limenci kondenziranog mlijeka. Stanovnici udaljenog naselja Dikson podigli su uzbunu kad je u srijedu uočena dvogodišnja ženka kako prilazi kolibama u selu. Tim moskovskog zoološkog vrta doletio je te uspavao životinju, uklonio oštri metal iz usta te zaliječio posjekotinu na jeziku.

"Sljedeći bitni korak je njezin oporavak od anestezije. No naši stručnjaci će biti u blizini i promatrati proces", rekla je Svetlana Akulova, direktorica moskovskog zoološkog vrta. "Nadamo se da će sve biti u redu. Ostavili smo nešto ribe blizu medvjedice jer je bez vode i hrane već dugo vremena", rekla je Akulova. Mikhail Alšinetski, veterinar zoološkog vrta, rekao je da je medvjed mršav i malo dehidriran, no očekuje da će njezine rane zacijeliti.

U ovotjednim izvješćima, tim kanadskih i američkih znanstvenika upozorio je da se gladni polarni medvjedi sve više okreću odlagalištima otpada da utaže glad jer njihov ledeni habitat nestaje zbog klimatskih promjena. Znanstvenici su rekli da ljudsko smeće predstavlja sve veću prijetnju ranjivim populacijama polarnih medvjeda jer se životinje sve više oslanjaju na odlagališta otpada blizu sjevernih zajednica u mjestima poput Rusije, Kanade i Aljaske.

Polarni medvjed koji je lutao arktičkim predjelima na sjeveru Rusije spašen je nakon što mu je jezik zapeo u limenci kondenziranog mlijeka. Stanovnici udaljenog naselja Dikson podigli su uzbunu kad je u srijedu uočena dvogodišnja ženka kako prilazi kolibama u selu. Tim moskovskog zoološkog vrta doletio je te uspavao životinju, uklonio oštri metal iz usta te zaliječio posjekotinu na jeziku.

"Sljedeći bitni korak je njezin oporavak od anestezije. No naši stručnjaci će biti u blizini i promatrati proces", rekla je Svetlana Akulova, direktorica moskovskog zoološkog vrta. "Nadamo se da će sve biti u redu. Ostavili smo nešto ribe blizu medvjedice jer je bez vode i hrane već dugo vremena", rekla je Akulova. Mikhail Alšinetski, veterinar zoološkog vrta, rekao je da je medvjed mršav i malo dehidriran, no očekuje da će njezine rane zacijeliti.

U ovotjednim izvješćima, tim kanadskih i američkih znanstvenika upozorio je da se gladni polarni medvjedi sve više okreću odlagalištima otpada da utaže glad jer njihov ledeni habitat nestaje zbog klimatskih promjena. Znanstvenici su rekli da ljudsko smeće predstavlja sve veću prijetnju ranjivim populacijama polarnih medvjeda jer se životinje sve više oslanjaju na odlagališta otpada blizu sjevernih zajednica u mjestima poput Rusije, Kanade i Aljaske.

Polarni medvjed koji je lutao arktičkim predjelima na sjeveru Rusije spašen je nakon što mu je jezik zapeo u limenci kondenziranog mlijeka. Stanovnici udaljenog naselja Dikson podigli su uzbunu kad je u srijedu uočena dvogodišnja ženka kako prilazi kolibama u selu. Tim moskovskog zoološkog vrta doletio je te uspavao životinju, uklonio oštri metal iz usta te zaliječio posjekotinu na jeziku.

"Sljedeći bitni korak je njezin oporavak od anestezije. No naši stručnjaci će biti u blizini i promatrati proces", rekla je Svetlana Akulova, direktorica moskovskog zoološkog vrta. "Nadamo se da će sve biti u redu. Ostavili smo nešto ribe blizu medvjedice jer je bez vode i hrane već dugo vremena", rekla je Akulova. Mikhail Alšinetski, veterinar zoološkog vrta, rekao je da je medvjed mršav i malo dehidriran, no očekuje da će njezine rane zacijeliti.

U ovotjednim izvješćima, tim kanadskih i američkih znanstvenika upozorio je da se gladni polarni medvjedi sve više okreću odlagalištima otpada da utaže glad jer njihov ledeni habitat nestaje zbog klimatskih promjena. Znanstvenici su rekli da ljudsko smeće predstavlja sve veću prijetnju ranjivim populacijama polarnih medvjeda jer se životinje sve više oslanjaju na odlagališta otpada blizu sjevernih zajednica u mjestima poput Rusije, Kanade i Aljaske.
