Udruga dragovoljaca MUP-a i ZNG-a 90.-91. u Biogradu na Moru obilježila je 15. siječanj – Dan grada i blagdan Svete Stošije, nebeske zaštitnice grada.

Biograd na Moru 15. siječnja slavi Dan grada i blagdan svete Stošije, nebeske zaštitnice grada. Ujedno je to spomendan kojim se ukazuje na dva važna datuma iz povijesti suvremene hrvatske državnosti: Dan međunarodnog priznanja Republike Hrvatske i Dan mirne reintegracije hrvatskog Podunavlja. Povod je ovo za nove aktivnosti Udruge dragovoljaca MUP-a i ZNG-a 90.-91. sa sjedištem u Biogradu na Moru koja okuplja članstvo i cijele Zadarske županije.

„Jedna od aktivnosti Udruge jest da se oda počast našim poginulim suborcima, svim poginulim dragovoljcima Domovinskog rata, hrvatskim braniteljima i civilima, koji su položili svoje živote na oltar Domovine. Upravo iz tog razloga obilazimo mjesta njihove pogibije diljem županije. Kako je danas Dan grada Biograda na Moru, a pošto je sjedište naše Udruge upravo u Biogradu na Moru, na nekoliko mjesta smo odali počast onima koji to zaslužuju. Kod središnjeg križa na Gradskom groblju Biograd na Moru položili smo vijence i upalili svijeće, kod spomenika dr. Franji Tuđmanu odali smo počast prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku. Okupili smo se i na rivi kod zgrade gradske uprave, jer je ondje spomenik „Mati čuvarica vjere i nacije“, djelo autora fra Joakima Gregova, vojnog kapelana 134. brigade ZNG-a RH, gdje smo također upalili svijeću u čast stvaranja države Hrvatske i 30. obljetnice njezina međunarodnog priznanja.“, rekao je Tomislav Božić, predsjednik Udruge.

Okupljeno članstvo Udruge tako se danas prisjetilo razdoblja obrambenog i oslobodilačkog Domovinskog rata od velikosrpske agresije, koje je obilježeno ratnim stradanjima, žrtvama, golemom patnjom i prolivenom krvlju za ostvarivanje pravednog cilja – uspostave slobodne, samostalne i suverene Republike Hrvatske.

Tijekom Domovinskog rata prva linija obrane Biograda na Moru bila je suočena s tehnički nadmoćnijom vojskom Srbije i Crne Gore tj. s JNA i dijelom pobunjenih Srba u Hrvatskoj, s njihovim položajima nadomak gradu. Biograd na Moru je zbog svog položaja imao stratešku važnost u očuvanju cjelovite Hrvatske i oslobađanju južne Hrvatske. Tijekom 1991. i 1992. godine više od nevjerojatnih 5000 projektila palo je na grad. Srpski izvori iz tog razdoblja danas govore u prilog namjernom uništavanju civilnih ciljeva u Biogradu na Moru i njegovoj okolici. Dovoljno je kazati da su u Biogradu na Moru mjesta udara raketnih i topničkih projektila gradska tržnica, dječji vrtić, škole, plaža Soline, gradska vijećnica, zavičajni muzej, plivački bazen, autobusni kolodvor, hoteli, ortopedska bolnica...Nakon višegodišnje okupacije trećine hrvatskog teritorija, brojnih neprijateljskih napada na Biograd, više godina života u progonstvu, brojnih neuspješnih pregovora i mirovnih inicijativa s agresorom u kolovozu 1995. godine „Olujom“, vojno - redarstvenom akcijom hrvatskih snaga u trajanju od svega tri dana oslobođeno je čitavo ovo područje. I Biograd je u miru i prosperitetu ponovno mogao zauzeti zasluženo mjesto jednog od vodećih turističkih destinacija.

Udruga dragovoljaca MUP-a i ZNG-a 90.-91. u Biogradu na Moru obilježila je 15. siječanj – Dan grada i blagdan Svete Stošije, nebeske zaštitnice grada.

Biograd na Moru 15. siječnja slavi Dan grada i blagdan svete Stošije, nebeske zaštitnice grada. Ujedno je to spomendan kojim se ukazuje na dva važna datuma iz povijesti suvremene hrvatske državnosti: Dan međunarodnog priznanja Republike Hrvatske i Dan mirne reintegracije hrvatskog Podunavlja. Povod je ovo za nove aktivnosti Udruge dragovoljaca MUP-a i ZNG-a 90.-91. sa sjedištem u Biogradu na Moru koja okuplja članstvo i cijele Zadarske županije.

„Jedna od aktivnosti Udruge jest da se oda počast našim poginulim suborcima, svim poginulim dragovoljcima Domovinskog rata, hrvatskim braniteljima i civilima, koji su položili svoje živote na oltar Domovine. Upravo iz tog razloga obilazimo mjesta njihove pogibije diljem županije. Kako je danas Dan grada Biograda na Moru, a pošto je sjedište naše Udruge upravo u Biogradu na Moru, na nekoliko mjesta smo odali počast onima koji to zaslužuju. Kod središnjeg križa na Gradskom groblju Biograd na Moru položili smo vijence i upalili svijeće, kod spomenika dr. Franji Tuđmanu odali smo počast prvom hrvatskom predsjedniku. Okupili smo se i na rivi kod zgrade gradske uprave, jer je ondje spomenik „Mati čuvarica vjere i nacije“, djelo autora fra Joakima Gregova, vojnog kapelana 134. brigade ZNG-a RH, gdje smo također upalili svijeću u čast stvaranja države Hrvatske i 30. obljetnice njezina međunarodnog priznanja.“, rekao je Tomislav Božić, predsjednik Udruge.

Okupljeno članstvo Udruge tako se danas prisjetilo razdoblja obrambenog i oslobodilačkog Domovinskog rata od velikosrpske agresije, koje je obilježeno ratnim stradanjima, žrtvama, golemom patnjom i prolivenom krvlju za ostvarivanje pravednog cilja – uspostave slobodne, samostalne i suverene Republike Hrvatske.

Tijekom Domovinskog rata prva linija obrane Biograda na Moru bila je suočena s tehnički nadmoćnijom vojskom Srbije i Crne Gore tj. s JNA i dijelom pobunjenih Srba u Hrvatskoj, s njihovim položajima nadomak gradu. Biograd na Moru je zbog svog položaja imao stratešku važnost u očuvanju cjelovite Hrvatske i oslobađanju južne Hrvatske. Tijekom 1991. i 1992. godine više od nevjerojatnih 5000 projektila palo je na grad. Srpski izvori iz tog razdoblja danas govore u prilog namjernom uništavanju civilnih ciljeva u Biogradu na Moru i njegovoj okolici. Dovoljno je kazati da su u Biogradu na Moru mjesta udara raketnih i topničkih projektila gradska tržnica, dječji vrtić, škole, plaža Soline, gradska vijećnica, zavičajni muzej, plivački bazen, autobusni kolodvor, hoteli, ortopedska bolnica...Nakon višegodišnje okupacije trećine hrvatskog teritorija, brojnih neprijateljskih napada na Biograd, više godina života u progonstvu, brojnih neuspješnih pregovora i mirovnih inicijativa s agresorom u kolovozu 1995. godine „Olujom“, vojno - redarstvenom akcijom hrvatskih snaga u trajanju od svega tri dana oslobođeno je čitavo ovo područje. I Biograd je u miru i prosperitetu ponovno mogao zauzeti zasluženo mjesto jednog od vodećih turističkih destinacija.
