Otkrivanjem interpretacijske ploče na Vruljici u središtu Preka, na Dušni je dan obilježena 129 godišnjica stradavanja 16 prijeških lavandijera.

Nesreća koja se dogodila na Dušni dan 2. studenoga 1891. godine ostat će trajno zapisana kao jedna od najvećih tragedija u povijesti Preka i otoka Ugljana, a postavljenje interpretacijske ploče na pet stranih jezika još je jedan podsjetnik na taj događaj.

- Općina Preko i TZO Preko inicirali su izradu interpretacijske ploče kako bi lokalitet Vrulja i spomenik lavandijerama bio završen kao cjelina. Ove su godine na vanjskom dijelu spomenika postavljene i kamene ploče s imenima svih poginulih lavandijera i njihove godine u trenutku stradanja - rekao je Ivan Košta, direktor TZO Preko.

Građu za ploču prikupljali su iz više izvora, uključujući i zadarski arhiv, a tri fotografije iz 1941. godine otkupljene su od Arhiva Luce iz Rima.

- Prvi dio teksta odnosi se na život i stradanje lavandijera, drugi je o Preku te mali prikaz tadašnjega težačkog života, svakodnevnih veza s kopnom, a posebno suživota čovjeka i gajete koja je bila kao član obitelji. Naši gosti, a i svi mlađi naraštaji sada će imati priliku bolje upoznati život lavandijera i težaka i značaj gajete u povijesti Preka - istaknuo je Košta.

Matija Babin, Jakova Dorkin, Ivana Dorkin, Luce Dorkin, Tomica Dorkin, Tonina Dorkin, Gašpa Jurin, Bara Jurin, Ivana Lovrić, Šimica Lovrić, Matija Markulin, Matija Martinov, Stoša Mašina, Gašpa Matacin, Tomica Matacin i Kate Mazić – 16 prijeških lavandijera stradalo je u prevrtanju gajete koja je prevozila čisto rublje za zadarske gospodske obitelji.

Nesreća se dogodila u 7 sati pokraj otočića Školjića (Galevca), kada se brod u orkanskom nevremenu prevrnuo i potonuo na dubinu od tri metra. Od 31 putnika, sedam muškaraca i 24 žene, stradale su one lavandijere koje su pod palubom štitile rublje. Najstarija lavandijera imala je 75 godina, najmlađa 14, a među poginulim ženama bile su i dvije trudnice.

Lavandijere su po rublje odlazile u ponedjeljak, a opranu i izglačanu robu vlasnicima su vraćale subotom brodovima na jedra ili vesla.

U čast svim priješkim ženama i lavandijerama, mjesni kipar Anselmo Dorkin na Vrulji u središtu mjesta podigao je spomenik “Naša mati”. Posvetu stradalim ženama napisao je i Stjepan Benzon, čije je stihove za pjesmu “Šesnaest lavandijera” 1968. godine uglazbio Ivica Stamać i otpjevao Vice Vukov. Slikar Milan Generalić iz Hlebina naslikao je sliku “Lavandijere” u tehnici freske, a 1991. glazbeno-scensko djelo “Rekvijem za 16 lavandijera” napisali su Slavko Govorčin i Ivo Nižić.

Fotomonografiju “Umorne ruke” vrijednim priješkim ženama posvetio je 2014. godine i pokojni fotograf Senko Sorić

Otkrivanjem interpretacijske ploče na Vruljici u središtu Preka, na Dušni je dan obilježena 129 godišnjica stradavanja 16 prijeških lavandijera.

Nesreća koja se dogodila na Dušni dan 2. studenoga 1891. godine ostat će trajno zapisana kao jedna od najvećih tragedija u povijesti Preka i otoka Ugljana, a postavljenje interpretacijske ploče na pet stranih jezika još je jedan podsjetnik na taj događaj.

- Općina Preko i TZO Preko inicirali su izradu interpretacijske ploče kako bi lokalitet Vrulja i spomenik lavandijerama bio završen kao cjelina. Ove su godine na vanjskom dijelu spomenika postavljene i kamene ploče s imenima svih poginulih lavandijera i njihove godine u trenutku stradanja - rekao je Ivan Košta, direktor TZO Preko.

Građu za ploču prikupljali su iz više izvora, uključujući i zadarski arhiv, a tri fotografije iz 1941. godine otkupljene su od Arhiva Luce iz Rima.

- Prvi dio teksta odnosi se na život i stradanje lavandijera, drugi je o Preku te mali prikaz tadašnjega težačkog života, svakodnevnih veza s kopnom, a posebno suživota čovjeka i gajete koja je bila kao član obitelji. Naši gosti, a i svi mlađi naraštaji sada će imati priliku bolje upoznati život lavandijera i težaka i značaj gajete u povijesti Preka - istaknuo je Košta.

Matija Babin, Jakova Dorkin, Ivana Dorkin, Luce Dorkin, Tomica Dorkin, Tonina Dorkin, Gašpa Jurin, Bara Jurin, Ivana Lovrić, Šimica Lovrić, Matija Markulin, Matija Martinov, Stoša Mašina, Gašpa Matacin, Tomica Matacin i Kate Mazić – 16 prijeških lavandijera stradalo je u prevrtanju gajete koja je prevozila čisto rublje za zadarske gospodske obitelji.

Nesreća se dogodila u 7 sati pokraj otočića Školjića (Galevca), kada se brod u orkanskom nevremenu prevrnuo i potonuo na dubinu od tri metra. Od 31 putnika, sedam muškaraca i 24 žene, stradale su one lavandijere koje su pod palubom štitile rublje. Najstarija lavandijera imala je 75 godina, najmlađa 14, a među poginulim ženama bile su i dvije trudnice.

Lavandijere su po rublje odlazile u ponedjeljak, a opranu i izglačanu robu vlasnicima su vraćale subotom brodovima na jedra ili vesla.

U čast svim priješkim ženama i lavandijerama, mjesni kipar Anselmo Dorkin na Vrulji u središtu mjesta podigao je spomenik “Naša mati”. Posvetu stradalim ženama napisao je i Stjepan Benzon, čije je stihove za pjesmu “Šesnaest lavandijera” 1968. godine uglazbio Ivica Stamać i otpjevao Vice Vukov. Slikar Milan Generalić iz Hlebina naslikao je sliku “Lavandijere” u tehnici freske, a 1991. glazbeno-scensko djelo “Rekvijem za 16 lavandijera” napisali su Slavko Govorčin i Ivo Nižić.

Fotomonografiju “Umorne ruke” vrijednim priješkim ženama posvetio je 2014. godine i pokojni fotograf Senko Sorić
