Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, Hrvatska ima oko 250.000 ovisnika o alkoholu te je među prvih pet zemalja EU-a po konzumaciji alkoholnih pića, ta ovisnost golemi je društveni problem jer pogađa cijelu obitelj, a na liječenju završi tek svaki osmi ovisnik.

Tradicionalno je više ovisnika o alkoholu među muškarcima, koji opijanjem pokušavaju riješiti probleme s depresijom, panikom ili stresom, budući da ih zbog kulturoloških razloga oklijevaju priznati i potražiti pomoć, kaže psihijatar Krešimir Radić, specijalist iz Klinike za psihijatriju Vrapče, upozoravajući na problem alkoholizma u Mjesecu borbe protiv ovisnosti.

Ističe da muškarci tri puta češće umiru od bolesti povezanih s alkoholom te, iako čine većinu među liječenim pacijentima, još uvijek ih jako puno ne uspije dobiti pomoć.

Konzumacija alkohola rano u životu dovodi do zdravstvenih problema pa su u programima liječenja u zdravstvenim ustanovama osobe svih dobnih skupina.

 Alkoholizam utječe na mentalno zdravlje cijele obitelji, koja socijalno i mentalno pati zbog člana koji pije.

Djeca imaju lošiji uspjeh u školi, supružnici problema s funkcioniranjem u radnoj sredini, obitelj je opterećena troškovima zbog kupovanja alkohola, prometnih kazni i drugih prekršaja, što dodatno osiromašuje i otežava svakodnevnicu.  

"U takvim obiteljima nije rijetko obiteljsko nasilje. Liječnici se često susreću sa situacijama kada obitelj više ne želi imati dodira sa svojim bolesnim članom koji pije, a on je onemoćao, lošeg tjelesnog zdravlja i nesposoban skrbiti se za sebe", navodi Radić. Iako se to obično događa na kraju "ružne priče" koja je trajala desetljećima, sustav nema kapaciteta da se nosi s time.

Tijekom pandemije povećan broj ovisnika

U doba pandemije pojavili su se novi ovisnici koji su se tijekom lockdowna smirivali alkoholom, dok su se neki stari ovisnici ponovno vratili opijanju. 

"U svojoj ambulanti imam pacijenta koji je do lockdowna konzumirao opojne droge, ali kako tada nije mogao do dilera prebacio se na alkohol", kaže Radić. 

Smatra da su trendu povećanja broja alkoholičara pridonijeli nebriga države za mentalno zdravlje građana tijekom pandemije i potresa, zatvaranje psihijatrijskih odjela u županijskim bolnicama i klinikama te ukidanje psihijatrijskih kreveta radi osiguranja kapaciteta za pacijente s covidom. 

Vlada je krajem studenog donijela Strateški okvir razvoja mentalnog zdravlja do 2030. godine, kao i akcijski plan za borbu protiv ovisnosti, na kojem su radile skupine stručnjaka i udruga pacijenata. Radić se nada da bi oni mogli biti temelj za razvoj novih projekata i financiranje suvremenih, znanstveno dokazanih modela skrbi.

U prevenciju se trebaju uključiti i poslodavci i obrazovni sustav, trebamo edukaciju i kampanje usmjerene općoj populaciji, ističe Radić i upozorava kako je situacija naročito loša kada je u pitanju zaštita mentalnog zdravlja djece.

Trećina psihičkih problema kod mladih nastaje do 14. godine, a polovica problema do 18. godine života pa se tu propušta prilika za rano liječenje i intervencije u probleme s alkoholom, upozorio je.

Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, Hrvatska ima oko 250.000 ovisnika o alkoholu te je među prvih pet zemalja EU-a po konzumaciji alkoholnih pića, ta ovisnost golemi je društveni problem jer pogađa cijelu obitelj, a na liječenju završi tek svaki osmi ovisnik.

Tradicionalno je više ovisnika o alkoholu među muškarcima, koji opijanjem pokušavaju riješiti probleme s depresijom, panikom ili stresom, budući da ih zbog kulturoloških razloga oklijevaju priznati i potražiti pomoć, kaže psihijatar Krešimir Radić, specijalist iz Klinike za psihijatriju Vrapče, upozoravajući na problem alkoholizma u Mjesecu borbe protiv ovisnosti.

Ističe da muškarci tri puta češće umiru od bolesti povezanih s alkoholom te, iako čine većinu među liječenim pacijentima, još uvijek ih jako puno ne uspije dobiti pomoć.

Konzumacija alkohola rano u životu dovodi do zdravstvenih problema pa su u programima liječenja u zdravstvenim ustanovama osobe svih dobnih skupina.

 Alkoholizam utječe na mentalno zdravlje cijele obitelji, koja socijalno i mentalno pati zbog člana koji pije.

Djeca imaju lošiji uspjeh u školi, supružnici problema s funkcioniranjem u radnoj sredini, obitelj je opterećena troškovima zbog kupovanja alkohola, prometnih kazni i drugih prekršaja, što dodatno osiromašuje i otežava svakodnevnicu.  

"U takvim obiteljima nije rijetko obiteljsko nasilje. Liječnici se često susreću sa situacijama kada obitelj više ne želi imati dodira sa svojim bolesnim članom koji pije, a on je onemoćao, lošeg tjelesnog zdravlja i nesposoban skrbiti se za sebe", navodi Radić. Iako se to obično događa na kraju "ružne priče" koja je trajala desetljećima, sustav nema kapaciteta da se nosi s time.

Tijekom pandemije povećan broj ovisnika

U doba pandemije pojavili su se novi ovisnici koji su se tijekom lockdowna smirivali alkoholom, dok su se neki stari ovisnici ponovno vratili opijanju. 

"U svojoj ambulanti imam pacijenta koji je do lockdowna konzumirao opojne droge, ali kako tada nije mogao do dilera prebacio se na alkohol", kaže Radić. 

Smatra da su trendu povećanja broja alkoholičara pridonijeli nebriga države za mentalno zdravlje građana tijekom pandemije i potresa, zatvaranje psihijatrijskih odjela u županijskim bolnicama i klinikama te ukidanje psihijatrijskih kreveta radi osiguranja kapaciteta za pacijente s covidom. 

Vlada je krajem studenog donijela Strateški okvir razvoja mentalnog zdravlja do 2030. godine, kao i akcijski plan za borbu protiv ovisnosti, na kojem su radile skupine stručnjaka i udruga pacijenata. Radić se nada da bi oni mogli biti temelj za razvoj novih projekata i financiranje suvremenih, znanstveno dokazanih modela skrbi.

U prevenciju se trebaju uključiti i poslodavci i obrazovni sustav, trebamo edukaciju i kampanje usmjerene općoj populaciji, ističe Radić i upozorava kako je situacija naročito loša kada je u pitanju zaštita mentalnog zdravlja djece.

Trećina psihičkih problema kod mladih nastaje do 14. godine, a polovica problema do 18. godine života pa se tu propušta prilika za rano liječenje i intervencije u probleme s alkoholom, upozorio je.

Po podacima Hrvatskog zavoda za javno zdravstvo, Hrvatska ima oko 250.000 ovisnika o alkoholu te je među prvih pet zemalja EU-a po konzumaciji alkoholnih pića, ta ovisnost golemi je društveni problem jer pogađa cijelu obitelj, a na liječenju završi tek svaki osmi ovisnik.

Tradicionalno je više ovisnika o alkoholu među muškarcima, koji opijanjem pokušavaju riješiti probleme s depresijom, panikom ili stresom, budući da ih zbog kulturoloških razloga oklijevaju priznati i potražiti pomoć, kaže psihijatar Krešimir Radić, specijalist iz Klinike za psihijatriju Vrapče, upozoravajući na problem alkoholizma u Mjesecu borbe protiv ovisnosti.

Ističe da muškarci tri puta češće umiru od bolesti povezanih s alkoholom te, iako čine većinu među liječenim pacijentima, još uvijek ih jako puno ne uspije dobiti pomoć.

Konzumacija alkohola rano u životu dovodi do zdravstvenih problema pa su u programima liječenja u zdravstvenim ustanovama osobe svih dobnih skupina.

 Alkoholizam utječe na mentalno zdravlje cijele obitelji, koja socijalno i mentalno pati zbog člana koji pije.

Djeca imaju lošiji uspjeh u školi, supružnici problema s funkcioniranjem u radnoj sredini, obitelj je opterećena troškovima zbog kupovanja alkohola, prometnih kazni i drugih prekršaja, što dodatno osiromašuje i otežava svakodnevnicu.  

"U takvim obiteljima nije rijetko obiteljsko nasilje. Liječnici se često susreću sa situacijama kada obitelj više ne želi imati dodira sa svojim bolesnim članom koji pije, a on je onemoćao, lošeg tjelesnog zdravlja i nesposoban skrbiti se za sebe", navodi Radić. Iako se to obično događa na kraju "ružne priče" koja je trajala desetljećima, sustav nema kapaciteta da se nosi s time.
