Podvarijanta omikrona BA.2, koja se vrlo brzo proširila Danskom, prenosivija je od češće BA.1 podvarijante i još je vjerojatnije da će se njome zaraziti i cijepljeni, pokazala je nova danska studija.

Između prosinca i siječnja provedena je studija, čija je svrha bila analizirati širenje zaraze koronavirusom u više od 8500 danskih kućanstava.

Ona je pokazala da je vjerojatnost da će osobe zaražene podvarijantom BA.2 zaraziti ostale oko sebe 33 posto veća u usporedbi s osobama zaraženim varijantom BA.1.

Studija je pokazala i da 'izvorna' podvarijanta BA.1 uzrokuje više od 98 posto slučajeva zaraze omikronom, no njegov 'bliski rođak' BA.2 vrlo je brzo postao dominantna vrsta u Danskoj, svrgnuvši BA.1 s trona u drugome tjednu siječnja.

"Zaključujemo da je omikron BA.2 suštinski znatno prenosiviji od BA.1 te da istodobno posjeduje značajke koje zaobilaze imunosni sustav te tako dodatno smanjuju zaštitni učinak cijepljenja protiv covida", zaključili su znanstvenici koji su proveli studiju.

Studiju, koja još nije prošla stručnu recenziju, proveli su znanstvenici sa Statens Serum Instituta (SSI), njihovi kolege sa Sveučilišta u Kopenhagenu te iz Danskog zavoda za statitsiku i Danskog tehničkog sveučilišta.

"Ako ste u vlastitome kućanstvu bili izloženi podvarijanti omikrona BA.2, vjerojatnost da ćete se njime zaraziti u roku od tjedan dana iznosi 39 posto. Da ste umjesto podvarijantom BA.2 bili izloženi varijanti BA.1, vjerojatnost da se zarazite u roku od tjedan dana iznosila bi 29 posto", pojasnio je voditelj i glavni autor studije Frederik Plesner, dodavši kako saznanja ukazuju na to da je BA.2 oko 33 posto zarazniji od BA.1.

Slučajevi zaraze podvarijantom omikrona BA.2 registrirani su i u Sjedinjenim Državama, Velikoj Britaniji, Švedskoj i Norveškoj, no u znatno manjoj mjeri nego u Danskoj, gdje čine oko 82 posto svih evidentiranih slučajeva.

Studija je pokazala i da je BA.2 bio relativno uspješniji od BA.1 kada je posrijedi zaraza osoba cijepljenih dvjema dozama cjepiva i onih koji su primili i dopunsku booster dozu.

To je dokaz da ova podvarijanta posjeduje značajke koje još uspješnije od prethodnih zaobilaze imunosni sustav.
Znanstvenici opetovano ističu da cjepiva i dalje imaju vrlo važnu ulogu u zaštiti pojedinaca.

Studija je pokazala da su i u ovome slučaju u potpunosti cijepljeni, a osobito oni koji su primili booster dozu bili manje podložni infekciji i prijenosu virusa u usporedbi s necijepljenima.

Preliminarna analiza SSI-ja je pokazala da nema razlike kada je posrijedi rizik od hospitalizacije u osoba zaraženih podvarijantom BA.2 u odnosu na one koji su zaraženi s BA.1.

Podvarijanta omikrona BA.2, koja se vrlo brzo proširila Danskom, prenosivija je od češće BA.1 podvarijante i još je vjerojatnije da će se njome zaraziti i cijepljeni, pokazala je nova danska studija.

Između prosinca i siječnja provedena je studija, čija je svrha bila analizirati širenje zaraze koronavirusom u više od 8500 danskih kućanstava.

Ona je pokazala da je vjerojatnost da će osobe zaražene podvarijantom BA.2 zaraziti ostale oko sebe 33 posto veća u usporedbi s osobama zaraženim varijantom BA.1.

Studija je pokazala i da 'izvorna' podvarijanta BA.1 uzrokuje više od 98 posto slučajeva zaraze omikronom, no njegov 'bliski rođak' BA.2 vrlo je brzo postao dominantna vrsta u Danskoj, svrgnuvši BA.1 s trona u drugome tjednu siječnja.

"Zaključujemo da je omikron BA.2 suštinski znatno prenosiviji od BA.1 te da istodobno posjeduje značajke koje zaobilaze imunosni sustav te tako dodatno smanjuju zaštitni učinak cijepljenja protiv covida", zaključili su znanstvenici koji su proveli studiju.

Studiju, koja još nije prošla stručnu recenziju, proveli su znanstvenici sa Statens Serum Instituta (SSI), njihovi kolege sa Sveučilišta u Kopenhagenu te iz Danskog zavoda za statitsiku i Danskog tehničkog sveučilišta.

"Ako ste u vlastitome kućanstvu bili izloženi podvarijanti omikrona BA.2, vjerojatnost da ćete se njime zaraziti u roku od tjedan dana iznosi 39 posto. Da ste umjesto podvarijantom BA.2 bili izloženi varijanti BA.1, vjerojatnost da se zarazite u roku od tjedan dana iznosila bi 29 posto", pojasnio je voditelj i glavni autor studije Frederik Plesner, dodavši kako saznanja ukazuju na to da je BA.2 oko 33 posto zarazniji od BA.1.

Slučajevi zaraze podvarijantom omikrona BA.2 registrirani su i u Sjedinjenim Državama, Velikoj Britaniji, Švedskoj i Norveškoj, no u znatno manjoj mjeri nego u Danskoj, gdje čine oko 82 posto svih evidentiranih slučajeva.

Studija je pokazala i da je BA.2 bio relativno uspješniji od BA.1 kada je posrijedi zaraza osoba cijepljenih dvjema dozama cjepiva i onih koji su primili i dopunsku booster dozu.

To je dokaz da ova podvarijanta posjeduje značajke koje još uspješnije od prethodnih zaobilaze imunosni sustav.
Znanstvenici opetovano ističu da cjepiva i dalje imaju vrlo važnu ulogu u zaštiti pojedinaca.

Studija je pokazala da su i u ovome slučaju u potpunosti cijepljeni, a osobito oni koji su primili booster dozu bili manje podložni infekciji i prijenosu virusa u usporedbi s necijepljenima.

Preliminarna analiza SSI-ja je pokazala da nema razlike kada je posrijedi rizik od hospitalizacije u osoba zaraženih podvarijantom BA.2 u odnosu na one koji su zaraženi s BA.1.

Podvarijanta omikrona BA.2, koja se vrlo brzo proširila Danskom, prenosivija je od češće BA.1 podvarijante i još je vjerojatnije da će se njome zaraziti i cijepljeni, pokazala je nova danska studija.

Između prosinca i siječnja provedena je studija, čija je svrha bila analizirati širenje zaraze koronavirusom u više od 8500 danskih kućanstava.

Ona je pokazala da je vjerojatnost da će osobe zaražene podvarijantom BA.2 zaraziti ostale oko sebe 33 posto veća u usporedbi s osobama zaraženim varijantom BA.1.

Studija je pokazala i da 'izvorna' podvarijanta BA.1 uzrokuje više od 98 posto slučajeva zaraze omikronom, no njegov 'bliski rođak' BA.2 vrlo je brzo postao dominantna vrsta u Danskoj, svrgnuvši BA.1 s trona u drugome tjednu siječnja.
