Izraelski znanstvenici omogućili su 12 paraliziranih miševa da se ponovno kreću nakon implantacije novog tkiva pupkovine iz ljudskih stanica u životinje. Nadaju se započeti klinička ispitivanja na ljudima u roku od tri godine, prema izvješću objavljenom u ponedjeljak. Tim je svoje istraživanje objavio u ponedjeljak u časopisu Advanced Science. Prvi ovakav u svijetu, eksperiment održan je na Sveučilištu u Tel Avivu.

"Ako ovo djeluje na ljudima, a vjerujemo da hoće, može svim paraliziranim ljudima ponuditi nadu da će ponovno moći hodati", rekli su u ponedjeljak za The Times of Israel profesor Tal Dvir i njegov istraživački tim u Centru za regenerativnu biotehnologiju Sagol, prenosi RT.

Dvir je rekao da su s Američkom upravom za hranu i lijekove započeli razgovori o kliničkim ispitivanjima. Napomenuo je da, iako su miševi dobili implantate za kralježnicu napravljene od stanica triju ljudi, ako se tehnologija koristi na ljudima, jedinstvena kralježnica bi se uzgajala pomoću stanica iz vlastitog tijela pacijenta. Dvir je dodao da bi se time smanjila mogućnost da tijelo odbaci implantate. U slučaju mnogih transplantacija s čovjeka na čovjeka, imunološki sustav tijela mora biti potisnut kako bi se smanjio rizik od odbacivanja.

Znanstvenici tvrde da, dok su drugi timovi provodili eksperimente s proizvodnjom ljudskih matičnih stanica i ubrizgavanjem u leđnu moždinu životinja, izraelska studija je prva koja je razvila komade stvarne kralježnice izrađene od ljudskih stanica i transplantirala ih.

Milijuni ljudi diljem svijeta paralizirani su zbog ozljede kralježnice i do danas ne postoji učinkovit način liječenja njihovog stanja.

Izraelski znanstvenici omogućili su 12 paraliziranih miševa da se ponovno kreću nakon implantacije novog tkiva pupkovine iz ljudskih stanica u životinje. Nadaju se započeti klinička ispitivanja na ljudima u roku od tri godine, prema izvješću objavljenom u ponedjeljak. Tim je svoje istraživanje objavio u ponedjeljak u časopisu Advanced Science. Prvi ovakav u svijetu, eksperiment održan je na Sveučilištu u Tel Avivu.

"Ako ovo djeluje na ljudima, a vjerujemo da hoće, može svim paraliziranim ljudima ponuditi nadu da će ponovno moći hodati", rekli su u ponedjeljak za The Times of Israel profesor Tal Dvir i njegov istraživački tim u Centru za regenerativnu biotehnologiju Sagol, prenosi RT.

Dvir je rekao da su s Američkom upravom za hranu i lijekove započeli razgovori o kliničkim ispitivanjima. Napomenuo je da, iako su miševi dobili implantate za kralježnicu napravljene od stanica triju ljudi, ako se tehnologija koristi na ljudima, jedinstvena kralježnica bi se uzgajala pomoću stanica iz vlastitog tijela pacijenta. Dvir je dodao da bi se time smanjila mogućnost da tijelo odbaci implantate. U slučaju mnogih transplantacija s čovjeka na čovjeka, imunološki sustav tijela mora biti potisnut kako bi se smanjio rizik od odbacivanja.

Znanstvenici tvrde da, dok su drugi timovi provodili eksperimente s proizvodnjom ljudskih matičnih stanica i ubrizgavanjem u leđnu moždinu životinja, izraelska studija je prva koja je razvila komade stvarne kralježnice izrađene od ljudskih stanica i transplantirala ih.

Milijuni ljudi diljem svijeta paralizirani su zbog ozljede kralježnice i do danas ne postoji učinkovit način liječenja njihovog stanja.

Znanstvenici jako blizu omogućavanja paraliziranim osobama da ponovo hodaju: uzgojili su kralježnicu za miševe, a uskoro kreću testiranja na ljudima

Izraelski znanstvenici omogućili su 12 paraliziranih miševa da se ponovno kreću nakon implantacije novog tkiva pupkovine iz ljudskih stanica u životinje. Nadaju se započeti klinička ispitivanja na ljudima u roku od tri godine, prema izvješću objavljenom u ponedjeljak. Tim je svoje istraživanje objavio u ponedjeljak u časopisu Advanced Science. Prvi ovakav u svijetu, eksperiment održan je na Sveučilištu u Tel Avivu.

"Ako ovo djeluje na ljudima, a vjerujemo da hoće, može svim paraliziranim ljudima ponuditi nadu da će ponovno moći hodati", rekli su u ponedjeljak za The Times of Israel profesor Tal Dvir i njegov istraživački tim u Centru za regenerativnu biotehnologiju Sagol, prenosi RT.

Dvir je rekao da su s Američkom upravom za hranu i lijekove započeli razgovori o klinič...
