Papa Franjo pozvao je na prekid rata u Ukrajini i drugih sukoba u svojoj božićnoj poruci u nedjelju, istaknuvši da svijet pati od "gladi za mirom".

U svojoj desetoj božićnoj poruci Gradu i svijetu (Urbi et orbi) također je apelirao na ljude da budu iznad "plitkog blagdanskog sjaja" i pomognu beskućnicima, imigrantima, izbjeglicama i siromašnima u traženju utjehe, topline i hrane.

"Pogledajmo lica sve one djece koja svugdje u svijetu čeznu za mirom", rekao je Papa obraćajući se sa središnjeg balkona bazilike svetog Petra.

"Pogledajmo također lica naše ukrajinske braće i sestara koji ovaj Božić proživljavaju u mraku i hladnoći, daleko od svojih domova zbog razaranja prouzročenih u deset mjeseci rata", dodao je.

Na Trgu svetog Petra okupili su se deseci tisuća vjernika.

Govorio je samo nekoliko sati nakon što su se širom Ukrajine oglasile sirene za zračnu uzbunu i dan nakon što je Kijev objavio da je u ruskom napadu na nedavno oslobođeni grad Herson ubijeno najmanje petero ljudi i ranjeno još 35 u subotu.

"Neka nas Gospodin potakne da ponudimo konkretne geste solidarnosti kako bismo pomogli svima onima koji pate, a neka prosvijetli um onima koji imaju moć utišati grmljavinu oružja i smjesta prekinuti ovaj besmisleni rat", poručio je Papa.

Papa Franjo kazao je i da rat u Ukrajini ne bi trebao umanjiti zabrinutost za ljude čiji su životi uništeni drugim sukobima ili humanitarnim krizama. U tom je kontekstu naveo Siriju, Mijanmar, Iran, Haiti i regiju Sahela.

"Naše vrijeme obilježava ozbiljna glad za mirom", rekao je Papa.

Pozvao je i na obnovu dijaloga između Izraelaca i Palestinaca u Svetoj Zemlji.

Dok mnogi sjede za "dobro prostrtim stolom", ogromne količine hrane dnevno odlaze u nepovrat, a resursi se troše na oružje, poručio je Papa.

Ponovno je osudio korištenje hrane kao oružja, istaknuvši da je rat u Ukrajini doveo milijune u opasnost od gladi - primjerice u Afganistanu ili u zemljama Roga Afrike.

Papa Franjo pozvao je na prekid rata u Ukrajini i drugih sukoba u svojoj božićnoj poruci u nedjelju, istaknuvši da svijet pati od "gladi za mirom".

U svojoj desetoj božićnoj poruci Gradu i svijetu (Urbi et orbi) također je apelirao na ljude da budu iznad "plitkog blagdanskog sjaja" i pomognu beskućnicima, imigrantima, izbjeglicama i siromašnima u traženju utjehe, topline i hrane.

"Pogledajmo lica sve one djece koja svugdje u svijetu čeznu za mirom", rekao je Papa obraćajući se sa središnjeg balkona bazilike svetog Petra.

"Pogledajmo također lica naše ukrajinske braće i sestara koji ovaj Božić proživljavaju u mraku i hladnoći, daleko od svojih domova zbog razaranja prouzročenih u deset mjeseci rata", dodao je.

Na Trgu svetog Petra okupili su se deseci tisuća vjernika.

Govorio je samo nekoliko sati nakon što su se širom Ukrajine oglasile sirene za zračnu uzbunu i dan nakon što je Kijev objavio da je u ruskom napadu na nedavno oslobođeni grad Herson ubijeno najmanje petero ljudi i ranjeno još 35 u subotu.

"Neka nas Gospodin potakne da ponudimo konkretne geste solidarnosti kako bismo pomogli svima onima koji pate, a neka prosvijetli um onima koji imaju moć utišati grmljavinu oružja i smjesta prekinuti ovaj besmisleni rat", poručio je Papa.

Papa Franjo kazao je i da rat u Ukrajini ne bi trebao umanjiti zabrinutost za ljude čiji su životi uništeni drugim sukobima ili humanitarnim krizama. U tom je kontekstu naveo Siriju, Mijanmar, Iran, Haiti i regiju Sahela.

"Naše vrijeme obilježava ozbiljna glad za mirom", rekao je Papa.

Pozvao je i na obnovu dijaloga između Izraelaca i Palestinaca u Svetoj Zemlji.

Dok mnogi sjede za "dobro prostrtim stolom", ogromne količine hrane dnevno odlaze u nepovrat, a resursi se troše na oružje, poručio je Papa.

Ponovno je osudio korištenje hrane kao oružja, istaknuvši da je rat u Ukrajini doveo milijune u opasnost od gladi - primjerice u Afganistanu ili u zemljama Roga Afrike.

U Vatikanu deseci tisuća vjernika, Papa Frane poslao toplu božićnu poruku: Svijet pati od gladi za mirom, prekinimo ratove i druge sukobe

Papa Franjo pozvao je na prekid rata u Ukrajini i drugih sukoba u svojoj božićnoj poruci u nedjelju, istaknuvši da svijet pati od "gladi za mirom".

U svojoj desetoj božićnoj poruci Gradu i svijetu (Urbi et orbi) također je apelirao na ljude da budu iznad "plitkog blagdanskog sjaja" i pomognu beskućnicima, imigrantima, izbjeglicama i siromašnima u traženju utjehe, topline i hrane.

"Pogledajmo lica sve one djece koja svugdje u svijetu čeznu za mirom", rekao je Papa obraćajući se sa središnjeg balkona bazilike svetog Petra.

"Pogledajmo također lica naše ukrajinske braće i sestara koji ovaj Božić proživljavaju u mraku i hladnoći, daleko od svojih domova zbog razaranja prouzročenih u deset mjeseci rata", dodao je.

Na Trgu svetog Petra okupili su se deseci tisuća vjernika.
