U velikoj policijskoj akciji u Buenos Airesu, uhićen je ‘El Croata‘, Ivo Esteban Rojnica, kralj tržišta crnim valutama i unuk Ive Rojnice, ustaškog stožernika koji je u Južnu Ameriku pobjegao nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, piše Jutarnji list. 

Velika policijska operacija razbijanja ilegalnih mjenjačnica započela je prošloga tjedna, a kao najveći uspjeh označeno je razbijanje Nimbus grupe, na čijem je čelu upravo Ivo Esteban Rojnica, piše Buenos Aires Times.

Vlada smatra da je Rojnica glavni trgovac takozvanim ‘plavim dolarom‘ – paralelnim ilegalnim tečajem koji se koristi za male transakcije. Izvori kažu da su se njegove operacije proširile na Sjedinjene Američke Države i Španjolsku, kao i da je imao agencije u Urugvaju i Boliviji. Unutar prostorija koje su pripadale Rojnici, policajci su pronašli računala i bilješke u kojima su navedene devizne transakcije, strojeve za brojanje novčanica, prazne vrećice različitih veličina i mašine za uništavanje papira s već uništenim dokumentima, rekli su dužnosnici. Među imenima klijenata koji su koristili usluge Nimbusa, spominje se i neimenovani "poznati nogometaš".

Ivo Rojnica nije imao samo najveću "cuevu" (lokalni naziv za ilegalne urede gdje se dolari mijenjaju po neslužbenom tečaju) u središtu Buenos Airesa, već je istragom otkriveno da je "Hrvat" sudjelovao u otvaranju offshore računa u SAD-u i raznim poslovima s nekretninama u Paragvaju, gdje je kupio nekretnine vrijedne milijune dolara.

Ostaje pitanje kako je uspio prebaciti tolike količine novca iz jedne zemlje u drugu. Prema izvorima iz istrage, manevar je najvjerojatnije izveden preko turističke agencije Tower Travela.

Poduzetnikov djed, također imena Ivo Rojnica, u Argentinu je stigao 1947., preko Austrije. Umro je 1. prosinca 2007.

Od 1947. živio je u Argentini, a početkom devedesetih bio je opunomoćeni predstavnik RH u Argentini. Prema argentinskim arhivima, Rojnica je ušao u zemlju pod imenom Ivan Rajčinović, a 1951. godine dobio je argentinske dokumente. Tri i pol godine poslije pokrenuo je administrativni postupak za promjenu prezimena kako bi vratio staro prezime Rojnica. Rojnica je sebe opisivao kao uglednog poduzetnika čije su se tekstilne tvornice navodile kao primjer uspješna poslovanja. Bavio se i pisanjem o životu hrvatske emigracije u Argentini u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća, a prije gotovo 50 godina sudjelovao je i u pokretanju časopisa "Studia Croatica"

Međutim, južnoamerička idila završava za Rojnicu u lipnju 1994. Wiesenthalov centar - organizacija koja traži bjegunce kriminalce iz Drugog svjetskog rata - tada donosi svjedočenja i dokaze o tamnoj prošlosti Ive Rojnice. Naime, svjedoci su otkrili da je Rojnica sustavno progonio Židove i Srbe, te da postoje naredbe s njegovim potpisom o zapljeni židovske imovine i ograničenju građanskih prava Židova kojima je zabranjivan prolaz ulicama i držanje trgovina.

U velikoj policijskoj akciji u Buenos Airesu, uhićen je ‘El Croata‘, Ivo Esteban Rojnica, kralj tržišta crnim valutama i unuk Ive Rojnice, ustaškog stožernika koji je u Južnu Ameriku pobjegao nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, piše Jutarnji list. 

Velika policijska operacija razbijanja ilegalnih mjenjačnica započela je prošloga tjedna, a kao najveći uspjeh označeno je razbijanje Nimbus grupe, na čijem je čelu upravo Ivo Esteban Rojnica, piše Buenos Aires Times.

Vlada smatra da je Rojnica glavni trgovac takozvanim ‘plavim dolarom‘ – paralelnim ilegalnim tečajem koji se koristi za male transakcije. Izvori kažu da su se njegove operacije proširile na Sjedinjene Američke Države i Španjolsku, kao i da je imao agencije u Urugvaju i Boliviji. Unutar prostorija koje su pripadale Rojnici, policajci su pronašli računala i bilješke u kojima su navedene devizne transakcije, strojeve za brojanje novčanica, prazne vrećice različitih veličina i mašine za uništavanje papira s već uništenim dokumentima, rekli su dužnosnici. Među imenima klijenata koji su koristili usluge Nimbusa, spominje se i neimenovani "poznati nogometaš".

Ivo Rojnica nije imao samo najveću "cuevu" (lokalni naziv za ilegalne urede gdje se dolari mijenjaju po neslužbenom tečaju) u središtu Buenos Airesa, već je istragom otkriveno da je "Hrvat" sudjelovao u otvaranju offshore računa u SAD-u i raznim poslovima s nekretninama u Paragvaju, gdje je kupio nekretnine vrijedne milijune dolara.

Ostaje pitanje kako je uspio prebaciti tolike količine novca iz jedne zemlje u drugu. Prema izvorima iz istrage, manevar je najvjerojatnije izveden preko turističke agencije Tower Travela.

Poduzetnikov djed, također imena Ivo Rojnica, u Argentinu je stigao 1947., preko Austrije. Umro je 1. prosinca 2007.

Od 1947. živio je u Argentini, a početkom devedesetih bio je opunomoćeni predstavnik RH u Argentini. Prema argentinskim arhivima, Rojnica je ušao u zemlju pod imenom Ivan Rajčinović, a 1951. godine dobio je argentinske dokumente. Tri i pol godine poslije pokrenuo je administrativni postupak za promjenu prezimena kako bi vratio staro prezime Rojnica. Rojnica je sebe opisivao kao uglednog poduzetnika čije su se tekstilne tvornice navodile kao primjer uspješna poslovanja. Bavio se i pisanjem o životu hrvatske emigracije u Argentini u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća, a prije gotovo 50 godina sudjelovao je i u pokretanju časopisa "Studia Croatica"

Međutim, južnoamerička idila završava za Rojnicu u lipnju 1994. Wiesenthalov centar - organizacija koja traži bjegunce kriminalce iz Drugog svjetskog rata - tada donosi svjedočenja i dokaze o tamnoj prošlosti Ive Rojnice. Naime, svjedoci su otkrili da je Rojnica sustavno progonio Židove i Srbe, te da postoje naredbe s njegovim potpisom o zapljeni židovske imovine i ograničenju građanskih prava Židova kojima je zabranjivan prolaz ulicama i držanje trgovina.

U velikoj policijskoj akciji u Buenos Airesu, uhićen je ‘El Croata‘, Ivo Esteban Rojnica, kralj tržišta crnim valutama i unuk Ive Rojnice, ustaškog stožernika koji je u Južnu Ameriku pobjegao nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, piše Jutarnji list. 

Velika policijska operacija razbijanja ilegalnih mjenjačnica započela je prošloga tjedna, a kao najveći uspjeh označeno je razbijanje Nimbus grupe, na čijem je čelu upravo Ivo Esteban Rojnica, piše Buenos Aires Times.

Vlada smatra da je Rojnica glavni trgovac takozvanim ‘plavim dolarom‘ – paralelnim ilegalnim tečajem koji se koristi za male transakcije. Izvori kažu da su se njegove operacije proširile na Sjedinjene Američke Države i Španjolsku, kao i da je imao agencije u Urugvaju i Boliviji. Unutar prostorija koje su pripadale Rojnici, policajci su pronašli računala i bilješke u kojima su navedene devizne transakcije, strojeve za brojanje novčanica, prazne vrećice različitih veličina i mašine za uništavanje papira s već uništenim dokumentima, rekli su dužnosnici. Među imenima klijenata koji su koristili usluge Nimbusa, spominje se i neimenovani "poznati nogometaš".

Ivo Rojnica nije imao samo najveću "cuevu" (lokalni naziv za ilegalne urede gdje se dolari mijenjaju po neslužbenom tečaju) u središtu Buenos Airesa, već je istragom otkriveno da je "Hrvat" sudjelovao u otvaranju offshore računa u SAD-u i raznim poslovima s nekretninama u Paragvaju, gdje je kupio nekretnine vrijedne milijune dolara.

Ostaje pitanje kako je uspio prebaciti tolike količine novca iz jedne zemlje u drugu. Prema izvorima iz istrage, manevar je najvjerojatnije izveden preko turističke agencije Tower Travela.

Poduzetnikov djed, također imena Ivo Rojnica, u Argentinu je stigao 1947., preko Austrije. Umro je 1. prosinca 2007.
