Mađarski premijer Viktor Orban tvrdi da “brani Europu od migrantskog vala“. Ipak, ambalaže čokoladice i boce vode ostavljene oko izgorjele logorske vatre na granici sa susjednom Slovačkom daju naslutiti da njegovo hvalisanje „mađarskim kao jedinim uspješnim modelom“ nije sasvim opravdano.
Većina susjednih zemalja EU-a ponovno je uspostavila kontrolu na granici s Mađarskom, budući da je broj migranata koji su prošli kroz tu zemlju naglo porastao.
Slovačka i Slovenija na tu su se iznimnu mjeru odlučile u posljednjih 10 dana.
Samo u rujnu slovačke su vlasti zabilježile 13 tisuća migranata, više nego u cijeloj 2022.
U mađarskom pograničnom selu Hontu komunalna redarka Viktoria Tekonos rekla je za AFP da se lokalno stanovništvo "drži podalje" od migranata iako oni, čim ih krijumčari iskrcaju, žure prema granici.
„Neki ljudi više ne provode vrijeme u blizini rijeke ili u šumi jer se boje da će susresti migrante“, dodala je.
Toliko je ljudi u posljednjih nekoliko mjeseci počelo prelaziti granicu da se Csaba, Slovak koji volontira tražiteljima azila da se registriraju s druge strane granice, prozvao „migrantskim pastirom“.
Međutim, većina njih želi nastaviti „do Njemačke jer su im obitelj i prijatelji već tamo“, kaže Katarina Levčikova iz slovačke humanitarne udruge Mareena.
Neki slovački političari, uključujući mađarsku nacionalnu manjinu, optužili su Budimpeštu da namjerno dopušta migrantima da pređu granicu.

Mađarska je ranije ove godine na sebe navukla bijes Austrije i negodovanje Europske komisije kad su vlasti odlučile pustiti na slobodu osuđene krijumčare koji nisu njihovi državljani kako bi „uštedjeli“.
Više od 1500 dosad ih je oslobođeno s obvezom da napuste zemlju u tri dana, prema najnovijim podacima Mađarske nacionalne uprave zatvorskog sustava, kojima raspolaže AFP.
Iz EU-a da nitko ne provjerava jesu li krijumčari zaista i napustili zemlju u zadanom roku.
Orban svejedno ne staje s busanjem u prsa zbog navodne strogoće na granici, još uvijek aludirajući na žilet-žicu podignutu na južnoj granici te zemlje na vrhuncu migrantske krize 2015., čime je izbjeglicama gotovo potpuno onemogućio traženje azila.
Samo deset ljudi prošle je godine u Mađarskoj dobilo izbjeglički status, čime je Budimpešta zavrijedila prijekor najvišeg suda EU.

„Podigli smo i fizičku i pravnu ogradu kako bismo terorističku prijetnju, koju migracija nužno nosi sa sobom, držali podalje od Mađarske“, nedavno je rekao Orban u radijskom obraćanju.
Kritičari ga terete da igra dvostruku igru dopuštajući prolazak kroz svoju zemlju, a istovremeno optužujući EU da neuspješno kontrolira migracije.
Njemačka se našla pod velikim pritiskom s 250.000 zahtjeva za azilom u prvih osam mjeseci ove godine, što je više nego u cijeloj prošloj.
„U vladinom je interesu tražiteljima azila olakšati prolazak kroz Mađarsku“, kaže Rudolf Berkes, analitičar iz budimpeštanskog think-tanka Political Capital.
„Naime, može ih koristiti kao sredstvo u pregovorima s EU“, dodaje Berkes, „ili pak na izborima u Slovačkoj, na kojima je pobijedio Orbanov saveznik Robert Fico, koji je otad uspješno zatvorio koalicijske pregovore i formirao vladu.
Osim što dijele antimigrantske i islamofobne stavove, i Orban i Fico održavaju odnose s ruskim predsjednikom Vladimirom Putinom i odbijaju slati vojnu pomoć Ukrajini.
A na mađarskoj sjevernoj granici sa Slovačkom, migranti se ne prestaju slijevati. Načelnik Dregelypalanke David Rigo tome ne vidi kraja. Opetovani pokušaji Mađarske da vrati migrante u Srbiju, iako je to Europski sud pravde 2020. ocijenio protuzakonitim, ne daju plodove, tvrdi.
„Događa se da se ljudi koji su uhvaćeni i odvedeni na južnu granicu vraćaju za tjedan dana“, rekao je.

Mađarski premijer Viktor Orban tvrdi da “brani Europu od migrantskog vala“. Ipak, ambalaže čokoladice i boce vode ostavljene oko izgorjele logorske vatre na granici sa susjednom Slovačkom daju naslutiti da njegovo hvalisanje „mađarskim kao jedinim uspješnim modelom“ nije sasvim opravdano.
Većina susjednih zemalja EU-a ponovno je uspostavila kontrolu na granici s Mađarskom, budući da je broj migranata koji su prošli kroz tu zemlju naglo porastao.
Slovačka i Slovenija na tu su se iznimnu mjeru odlučile u posljednjih 10 dana.
Samo u rujnu slovačke su vlasti zabilježile 13 tisuća migranata, više nego u cijeloj 2022.
U mađarskom pograničnom selu Hontu komunalna redarka Viktoria Tekonos rekla je za AFP da se lokalno stanovništvo "drži podalje" od migranata iako oni, čim ih krijumčari iskrcaju, žure prema granici.
„Neki ljudi više ne provode vrijeme u blizini rijeke ili u šumi jer se boje da će susresti migrante“, dodala je.
Toliko je ljudi u posljednjih nekoliko mjeseci počelo prelaziti granicu da se Csaba, Slovak koji volontira tražiteljima azila da se registriraju s druge strane granice, prozvao „migrantskim pastirom“.
Međutim, većina njih želi nastaviti „do Njemačke jer su im obitelj i prijatelji već tamo“, kaže Katarina Levčikova iz slovačke humanitarne udruge Mareena.
Neki slovački političari, uključujući mađarsku nacionalnu manjinu, optužili su Budimpeštu da namjerno dopušta migrantima da pređu granicu.

Mađarska je ranije ove godine na sebe navukla bijes Austrije i negodovanje Europske komisije kad su vlasti odlučile pustiti na slobodu osuđene krijumčare koji nisu njihovi državljani kako bi „uštedjeli“.
Više od 1500 dosad ih je oslobođeno s obvezom da napuste zemlju u tri dana, prema najnovijim podacima Mađarske nacionalne uprave zatvorskog sustava, kojima raspolaže AFP.
Iz EU-a da nitko ne provjerava jesu li krijumčari zaista i napustili zemlju u zadanom roku.
Orban svejedno ne staje s busanjem u prsa zbog navodne strogoće na granici, još uvijek aludirajući na žilet-žicu podignutu na južnoj granici te zemlje na vrhuncu migrantske krize 2015., čime je izbjeglicama gotovo potpuno onemogućio traženje azila.
Samo deset ljudi prošle je godine u Mađarskoj dobilo izbjeglički status, čime je Budimpešta zavrijedila prijekor najvišeg suda EU.

„Podigli smo i fizičku i pravnu ogradu kako bismo terorističku prijetnju, koju migracija nužno nosi sa sobom, držali podalje od Mađarske“, nedavno je rekao Orban u radijskom obraćanju.
Kritičari ga terete da igra dvostruku igru dopuštajući prolazak kroz svoju zemlju, a istovremeno optužujući EU da neuspješno kontrolira migracije.
Njemačka se našla pod velikim pritiskom s 250.000 zahtjeva za azilom u prvih osam mjeseci ove godine, što je više nego u cijeloj prošloj.
„U vladinom je interesu tražiteljima azila olakšati prolazak kroz Mađarsku“, kaže Rudolf Berkes, analitičar iz budimpeštanskog think-tanka Political Capital.
„Naime, može ih koristiti kao sredstvo u pregovorima s EU“, dodaje Berkes, „ili pak na izborima u Slovačkoj, na kojima je pobijedio Orbanov saveznik Robert Fico, koji je otad uspješno zatvorio koalicijske pregovore i formirao vladu.
Osim što dijele antimigrantske i islamofobne stavove, i Orban i Fico održavaju odnose s ruskim predsjednikom Vladimirom Putinom i odbijaju slati vojnu pomoć Ukrajini.
A na mađarskoj sjevernoj granici sa Slovačkom, migranti se ne prestaju slijevati. Načelnik Dregelypalanke David Rigo tome ne vidi kraja. Opetovani pokušaji Mađarske da vrati migrante u Srbiju, iako je to Europski sud pravde 2020. ocijenio protuzakonitim, ne daju plodove, tvrdi.
„Događa se da se ljudi koji su uhvaćeni i odvedeni na južnu granicu vraćaju za tjedan dana“, rekao je.
