Urna s pepelom kubanskog čelnika Fidela Castra prikazana je po prvi put u javnosti u ponedjeljak na kubanskoj televiziji tijekom privatne ceremonije koju je vodio njegov brat i nasljednik Raul Castro.

Drvena urna, pravokutna oblika bila je postavljena u sobi u ministarstvu obrane, u kojoj je Raul Castro bio okružen vojnim i civilnim kubanskim čelnicima, uključujući potpredsjednika Miguela Diaz-Canela.

Nakon objave bratove smrti u petak Raul je objavio da će ostaci oca kubanske revolucije biti kremirani dan kasnije, u subotu, no urna od tada nije bila viđena u javnosti.

 U ministarstvu je urna bila postavljena ispred crno-bijele fotografije mladog Fidela, a dužnosnici su ispred nje polagali bijeli cvijet i potpisivali zakletvu u kojoj su obećali lojalnost Castrovoj "koncepciji revolucije", kao što su to radili Kubanci diljem otoka.

 Tijekom ponedjeljka deseci tisuća Kubanaca prolazili su pored velike fotografije Fidela Castra želeći mu odati posljednju počast u središnjem spomeniku na Trgu revolucije. No na iznenađenje mnogih, urna nije bila postavljena na mjestu odavanja počasti.

Nakon dvodnevne ceremonije u Havani urna bi tijekom četiri dana trebala biti nošena u "karavani slobode" diljem Kube, a svoj bi put trebala okončati u nedjelju kada će biti položena u zemlju u gradu Santiago de Cuba.

Urna s pepelom kubanskog čelnika Fidela Castra prikazana je po prvi put u javnosti u ponedjeljak na kubanskoj televiziji tijekom privatne ceremonije koju je vodio njegov brat i nasljednik Raul Castro.

Drvena urna, pravokutna oblika bila je postavljena u sobi u ministarstvu obrane, u kojoj je Raul Castro bio okružen vojnim i civilnim kubanskim čelnicima, uključujući potpredsjednika Miguela Diaz-Canela.

Nakon objave bratove smrti u petak Raul je objavio da će ostaci oca kubanske revolucije biti kremirani dan kasnije, u subotu, no urna od tada nije bila viđena u javnosti.

 U ministarstvu je urna bila postavljena ispred crno-bijele fotografije mladog Fidela, a dužnosnici su ispred nje polagali bijeli cvijet i potpisivali zakletvu u kojoj su obećali lojalnost Castrovoj "koncepciji revolucije", kao što su to radili Kubanci diljem otoka.

 Tijekom ponedjeljka deseci tisuća Kubanaca prolazili su pored velike fotografije Fidela Castra želeći mu odati posljednju počast u središnjem spomeniku na Trgu revolucije. No na iznenađenje mnogih, urna nije bila postavljena na mjestu odavanja počasti.

Nakon dvodnevne ceremonije u Havani urna bi tijekom četiri dana trebala biti nošena u "karavani slobode" diljem Kube, a svoj bi put trebala okončati u nedjelju kada će biti položena u zemlju u gradu Santiago de Cuba.
