Rat u Ukrajini promijenio je Rusiju. Kremaljska kamarila htjela bi stvoriti dojam da je riječ o promjenama nabolje, ali godinu dana nakon Putinove  invazije na Ukrajinu, ljudi koji žive u Rusiji ispričali su The Telegraphu kako su im životi za to vrijeme postali dosadniji, nesigurniji i opasniji.

“Imala sam planove i ciljeve, a sada mi je jedini cilj preseliti se ili, ako ne mogu, preseliti kćer”, rekla im je medicinska sestra koja živi u Moskvi. “Ovaj rat mi je uništio život”, kaže. Ove godine dobila je nalog za vježbe prve pomoći na bojnom polju, iako još nije raspoređena. Plaši je, kaže, i pomisao da kriminalci koje je regrutirala plaćenička bojna Wagner mogu slobodno doći u Moskvu nakon što su služili na prvoj crti bojišnice.

“Čak i oni koji podržavaju rat protive se takvom slobodnom kretanju ubojica, dilera droge i silovatelja”, rekla je.

Neki mladi Rusi opisali su engleskim novinarima svađe sa svojim roditeljima oko toga prijeti li NATO doista Rusiji, kao što Kremlj želi da ljudi vjeruju.

Svako neslaganje, koje je pod Putinom uvijek bilo teško iskazati, sada je zakonim zabranjeno. Tako je ovog mjeseca novinarka Marija Ponomarenko osuđena na šest godina zatvora jer je 2022. objavila tweet o ruskim  napadima na Mariupolj. Unatoč gušenju otpora, neki ljudi u Rusiji i dalje prosvjeduju protiv rata, a prošlog tjedna, na prvu godišnjicu invazije, policija je na prosvjedima uhitila 54 osobe.

Samo polaganje cvijeća na spomenik žrtvama sovjetske represije ili kip ukrajinskog umjetnika sada vas može dovesti u zatvor. A pobjeći od ove distopije, čak i samo na tjedan dana, postalo je teško jer ruska putovnica sve nepopularnija, zračne veze su prekinute, a granice zatvorene.

Putinovom Rusijom godinu dana nakon početka invazije na Ukrajinu prevladava, piše The Telegraph, čemerna totalitarna atmosfera. U usporedbi s razdobljem prije 12 mjeseci, Rusija je sada daleko tjeskobnija i razjedinjenija zemlja.

“Ljudi su pali u depresiju”, rekao je sredovječni građevinar koji živi u središnjoj Rusiji. “Ljudi su podijeljeni kao da je ponovno bila revolucija 1917. godine. Dolazi do svađa unutar obitelji i među kolegama s posla.” Nije tako bilo zamišljeno u državnom vrhu. Putin je planirajući invaziju zamislio sebe kao heroja osvajača koji "spašava" Ukrajinu. Sada je, zaglavivši na mnogim crtama bojišnice, morao prikazati ovaj rat  kao neizbježan udar protiv NATO-a u borbi za opstanak.

Kremlj sada želi i da obični Rusi osjete tu paranoju. U Moskvi su postavljeni protuzračni projektili, a po državi su podijeljene mape s ucrtanim skloništima. U školama se počelo učiti temeljne vojničke vještine, djecu se opet tjera da svakodnevno pozdravljaju državnu zastavu, a umirovljenici uvježbaju tehnike nošenja nosila.

Ovakva propaganda bilo je jako skupa. Prema izvješćima ruske regije potrošile su lani stoput više nego prijašnjih godina na državne zastave, domoljubne postere i druge promidžbene materijale. Većina Rusa pokušala je u početku ignorirati invaziju na Ukrajinu, što je bio rezultat općenarodne sklonosti da se Kremlju prepušta donošenje velikih, naravno ispravnih, odluka, a da "malim" Rusima pusti da se usredotoče na svoje živote.

Do promjene je ipak došlo 21. rujna 2022. kada je Putin proglasio prvu mobilizaciju u Rusiji od 1941., nakon što je nacistička Njemačka napala Sovjetski Savez. Ovo je bio trenutak kada je stvarnost Putinovog rata u Ukrajini pogodila kućanstva diljem Rusije. Otprilike milijun muškaraca spakiralo je svoje torbe i pobjeglo. Mobilizirano ih je oko 320.000. Mnogi su sada mrtvi. Kremlj želi da obični Rusi osjete da su u ratu s NATO-om i da ih samo Putin može spasiti.

Njegov imenjak Vladimir, koji k tome i živi u gradu Vladimiru u središnjoj Rusiji, rekao je za The Telegraph da sada svi moraju biti vrlo oprezni kad govore protiv predsjednuka. “Među svojim prijateljima ga zovem međunarodnim teroristom. Ali, ako sam s nekim koga ne poznajem, onda pričam drugačije”, rekao je.

Ekonomija, društvo i politički diskurs su podređeni ratnim naporima u Rusiji, ali osim jumbo plakata s likovima vojnika, to je na prvi pogled najlakše previdjeti u Moskvi ili Sankt Peterburgu. Cijene su se stabilizirale, zapadne marke poput iPhonea uvezenih preko Kazahstana i dalje se mogu kupiti unatoč sankcijama, a restorani su puni. Ali, u regijama gdje živi ukupno najviše Rusa i odakle se regrutira najviše vojnika, znatno je drugačije. Vladimir je rekao da su cijene svega porasle i da je život u ratnoj Rusiji postao i dosadniji i nesigurniji.

"Kada je riječ o novcu, stvari su postale mnogo teže", rekao je za The Telegraph. “Ne smijete se razboljeti. Ne možete kupiti odjeću. Ne možete ići u kafić ili kino. Ne možete ići na odmor.”

Rat u Ukrajini promijenio je Rusiju. Kremaljska kamarila htjela bi stvoriti dojam da je riječ o promjenama nabolje, ali godinu dana nakon Putinove  invazije na Ukrajinu, ljudi koji žive u Rusiji ispričali su The Telegraphu kako su im životi za to vrijeme postali dosadniji, nesigurniji i opasniji.

“Imala sam planove i ciljeve, a sada mi je jedini cilj preseliti se ili, ako ne mogu, preseliti kćer”, rekla im je medicinska sestra koja živi u Moskvi. “Ovaj rat mi je uništio život”, kaže. Ove godine dobila je nalog za vježbe prve pomoći na bojnom polju, iako još nije raspoređena. Plaši je, kaže, i pomisao da kriminalci koje je regrutirala plaćenička bojna Wagner mogu slobodno doći u Moskvu nakon što su služili na prvoj crti bojišnice.

“Čak i oni koji podržavaju rat protive se takvom slobodnom kretanju ubojica, dilera droge i silovatelja”, rekla je.

Neki mladi Rusi opisali su engleskim novinarima svađe sa svojim roditeljima oko toga prijeti li NATO doista Rusiji, kao što Kremlj želi da ljudi vjeruju.

Svako neslaganje, koje je pod Putinom uvijek bilo teško iskazati, sada je zakonim zabranjeno. Tako je ovog mjeseca novinarka Marija Ponomarenko osuđena na šest godina zatvora jer je 2022. objavila tweet o ruskim  napadima na Mariupolj. Unatoč gušenju otpora, neki ljudi u Rusiji i dalje prosvjeduju protiv rata, a prošlog tjedna, na prvu godišnjicu invazije, policija je na prosvjedima uhitila 54 osobe.

Samo polaganje cvijeća na spomenik žrtvama sovjetske represije ili kip ukrajinskog umjetnika sada vas može dovesti u zatvor. A pobjeći od ove distopije, čak i samo na tjedan dana, postalo je teško jer ruska putovnica sve nepopularnija, zračne veze su prekinute, a granice zatvorene.

Putinovom Rusijom godinu dana nakon početka invazije na Ukrajinu prevladava, piše The Telegraph, čemerna totalitarna atmosfera. U usporedbi s razdobljem prije 12 mjeseci, Rusija je sada daleko tjeskobnija i razjedinjenija zemlja.

“Ljudi su pali u depresiju”, rekao je sredovječni građevinar koji živi u središnjoj Rusiji. “Ljudi su podijeljeni kao da je ponovno bila revolucija 1917. godine. Dolazi do svađa unutar obitelji i među kolegama s posla.” Nije tako bilo zamišljeno u državnom vrhu. Putin je planirajući invaziju zamislio sebe kao heroja osvajača koji "spašava" Ukrajinu. Sada je, zaglavivši na mnogim crtama bojišnice, morao prikazati ovaj rat  kao neizbježan udar protiv NATO-a u borbi za opstanak.

Kremlj sada želi i da obični Rusi osjete tu paranoju. U Moskvi su postavljeni protuzračni projektili, a po državi su podijeljene mape s ucrtanim skloništima. U školama se počelo učiti temeljne vojničke vještine, djecu se opet tjera da svakodnevno pozdravljaju državnu zastavu, a umirovljenici uvježbaju tehnike nošenja nosila.

Ovakva propaganda bilo je jako skupa. Prema izvješćima ruske regije potrošile su lani stoput više nego prijašnjih godina na državne zastave, domoljubne postere i druge promidžbene materijale. Većina Rusa pokušala je u početku ignorirati invaziju na Ukrajinu, što je bio rezultat općenarodne sklonosti da se Kremlju prepušta donošenje velikih, naravno ispravnih, odluka, a da "malim" Rusima pusti da se usredotoče na svoje živote.

Do promjene je ipak došlo 21. rujna 2022. kada je Putin proglasio prvu mobilizaciju u Rusiji od 1941., nakon što je nacistička Njemačka napala Sovjetski Savez. Ovo je bio trenutak kada je stvarnost Putinovog rata u Ukrajini pogodila kućanstva diljem Rusije. Otprilike milijun muškaraca spakiralo je svoje torbe i pobjeglo. Mobilizirano ih je oko 320.000. Mnogi su sada mrtvi. Kremlj želi da obični Rusi osjete da su u ratu s NATO-om i da ih samo Putin može spasiti.

Njegov imenjak Vladimir, koji k tome i živi u gradu Vladimiru u središnjoj Rusiji, rekao je za The Telegraph da sada svi moraju biti vrlo oprezni kad govore protiv predsjednuka. “Među svojim prijateljima ga zovem međunarodnim teroristom. Ali, ako sam s nekim koga ne poznajem, onda pričam drugačije”, rekao je.

Ekonomija, društvo i politički diskurs su podređeni ratnim naporima u Rusiji, ali osim jumbo plakata s likovima vojnika, to je na prvi pogled najlakše previdjeti u Moskvi ili Sankt Peterburgu. Cijene su se stabilizirale, zapadne marke poput iPhonea uvezenih preko Kazahstana i dalje se mogu kupiti unatoč sankcijama, a restorani su puni. Ali, u regijama gdje živi ukupno najviše Rusa i odakle se regrutira najviše vojnika, znatno je drugačije. Vladimir je rekao da su cijene svega porasle i da je život u ratnoj Rusiji postao i dosadniji i nesigurniji.

"Kada je riječ o novcu, stvari su postale mnogo teže", rekao je za The Telegraph. “Ne smijete se razboljeti. Ne možete kupiti odjeću. Ne možete ići u kafić ili kino. Ne možete ići na odmor.”
