Danas Mihail Sergejevič Gorbačov, posljednji predsjednik SSSR-a i najveći demokrat od lidera tadašnjeg Saveza, slavi 91. rođendan. Tom prigodom bi se valjalo podsjetiti kako je on gledao na potencijalnu eksalaciju sukoba između istočnog i zapadnog bloka i rata općenito. Također, u intervjuu za BBC iz 2019. godine, je bivši generalni sekretat Sovijeta iznio svoje mišljenje o Putinu kao vođi te njegovom stilu vladanja.

Razgovor je započeo komentiranjem tenzija između Amerike i Rusije, na što je Gorbačov reagirao: "Dok god postoje oružja masovnog uništenja, poglavito nuklearno naoružanje, opasnost eskalacije je kolosalna - nebitno o političkim odlukama dvaju država. Pogledajte koliko zlih ljudi danas ima koji idu okolo i raznose stvari; oni mogu dobiti kontrolu nad tim oružjem. A ako se ono upotrijebi, to će izazvati odgovor druge strane. To se ne smije dogoditi. Stoga, sve nacije bi trebale proglasiti uništenje takvog naoružanja - kako bismo spasili sebe i naš planet."

"Bio sam u Japanu, u Nagasakiju; tamo gdje su Amerikanci bacili bombu. Još se vide posljedice. Zašto su to napravili? Naravno, kao upozorenje svima: ukoliko nas ne budete slušali, baciti ćemo bombu na vas. Tako ja to vidim. Zašto bi inače to učinili? Bojim se da su ljudi koji tako djeluju još uvijek tu, još ih se nismo oslobodili. A kad se takvo nešto desi, naša reakcija je jako emotivna i snažna. U zemlji poput naše, gdje je rat donio takvo uništenje, gdje su milijuni nastradali - mi to osjećamo gotovo kao nitko drugi."

Onda je, prisjetivši se svojih susreta sa Sovjetskim seljacima, Gorbačov postao vrlo emotivan te skoro zaplakao. "Kada sam ja postao generalni sekretar Sovjetske Komunističke Partije, putovao sam u gradove i sela kako bih se susreo s ljudima, predstavio se i govorio. Uvijek je bila jedna stvar koju bi mi svi rekli: 'Mihaile Sergejeviču, koje god probleme da imali, kakve god nestašice hrane, ne brinite - uzgojiti ćemo je, snaći ćemo se. Samo se pobrini da ne bude rata.' Bio sam potresen. Tako su se ljudi osjećali, tako su propatili od zadnjeg rata."

Na pitanje jesu li Rusija i Zapad sada u novom 'hladnom ratu', bivši predsjednik se sarkastično nasmijao. "Samo je friško, ali je svejedno rat. Pogledajte što se događa. Na raznim mjestima imate okršaje, puca se, avioni i brodovi se šalju vamo, tamo i svuda. Moramo, bez krvoprolića, iznaći put van ove situacije koja postoji desetljećima. Tako smo napravili 89. godine. Nije smjelo biti krvi. Nismo to mogli dopustiti, oko pitanja koje je bilo toliko važno za Njemačku, za nas, za Europu, za svijet... Neki ljudi su bili protiv ujedinjena, kao Margaret Thatcher i Francuzi. Ali to je bilo pitanje za Nijemce, oni su to trebali odlučiti."

Po pitanju Rusije danas i je li zabrinut za tamošnju demokraciju, rekao je: "Jesam. Moramo biti bolji, brži i efikasniji, ali to je lako reći dok daješ intevju... I vjerujem da moramo češće mijenjati vođe. Ali postoje vremena kada se zemlja prebacuje s jedne ere u drugu, kada novi ljudi nisu spremni podnijeti potrebni teret. Naš trenutni predsjednik je naslijedio opći kaos, zaustavio ga i doslovno preuzeo sve probleme na sebe. Medijska izviješća tvrde da narod želi da on ostane i dovrši posao, kojeg ima još mnogo. Ja sam za poštivanje zakona, ali nikad se neću suprotstaviti mišljenju većine naroda."

Danas Mihail Sergejevič Gorbačov, posljednji predsjednik SSSR-a i najveći demokrat od lidera tadašnjeg Saveza, slavi 91. rođendan. Tom prigodom bi se valjalo podsjetiti kako je on gledao na potencijalnu eksalaciju sukoba između istočnog i zapadnog bloka i rata općenito. Razgovor je započeo komentiranjem tenzija između Amerike i Rusije, na što je Gorbačov reagirao: "Dok god postoje oružja masovnog uništenja, poglavito nuklearno naoružanje, opasnost eskalacije je kolosalna - nebitno o političkim odlukama dvaju država. Pogledajte koliko zlih ljudi danas ima koji idu okolo i raznose stvari; oni mogu dobiti kontrolu nad tim oružjem. A ako se ono upotrijebi, to će izazvati odgovor druge strane. To se ne smije dogoditi. Stoga, sve nacije bi trebale proglasiti uništenje takvog naoružanja - kako bismo spasili sebe i naš planet."

"Bio sam u Japanu, u Nagasakiju; tamo gdje su Amerikanci bacili bombu. Još se vide posljedice. Zašto su to napravili? Naravno, kao upozorenje svima: ukoliko nas ne budete slušali, baciti ćemo bombu na vas. Tako ja to vidim. Zašto bi inače to učinili? Bojim se da su ljudi koji tako djeluju još uvijek tu, još ih se nismo oslobodili. A kad se takvo nešto desi, naša reakcija je jako emotivna i snažna. U zemlji poput naše, gdje je rat donio takvo uništenje, gdje su milijuni nastradali - mi to osjećamo gotovo kao nitko drugi."

Onda je, prisjetivši se svojih susreta sa Sovjetskim seljacima, Gorbačov postao vrlo emotivan te skoro zaplakao. "Kada sam ja postao generalni sekretar Sovjetske Komunističke Partije, putovao sam u gradove i sela kako bih se susreo s ljudima, predstavio se i govorio. Uvijek je bila jedna stvar koju bi mi svi rekli: 'Mihaile Sergejeviču, koje god probleme da imali, kakve god nestašice hrane, ne brinite - uzgojiti ćemo je, snaći ćemo se. Samo se pobrini da ne bude rata.' Bio sam potresen. Tako su se ljudi osjećali, tako su propatili od zadnjeg rata."

Na pitanje jesu li Rusija i Zapad sada u novom 'hladnom ratu', bivši predsjednik se sarkastično nasmijao. "Samo je friško, ali je svejedno rat. Pogledajte što se događa. Na raznim mjestima imate okršaje, puca se, avioni i brodovi se šalju vamo, tamo i svuda. Moramo, bez krvoprolića, iznaći put van ove situacije koja postoji desetljećima. Tako smo napravili 89. godine. Nije smjelo biti krvi. Nismo to mogli dopustiti, oko pitanja koje je bilo toliko važno za Njemačku, za nas, za Europu, za svijet... Neki ljudi su bili protiv ujedinjena, kao Margaret Thatcher i Francuzi. Ali to je bilo pitanje za Nijemce, oni su to trebali odlučiti."

Po pitanju Rusije danas i je li zabrinut za tamošnju demokraciju, rekao je: "Jesam. Moramo biti bolji, brži i efikasniji, ali to je lako reći dok daješ intevju... I vjerujem da moramo češće mijenjati vođe. Ali postoje vremena kada se zemlja prebacuje s jedne ere u drugu, kada novi ljudi nisu spremni podnijeti potrebni teret. Naš trenutni predsjednik je naslijedio opći kaos, zaustavio ga i doslovno preuzeo sve probleme na sebe. Medijska izviješća tvrde da narod želi da on ostane i dovrši posao, kojeg ima još mnogo. Ja sam za poštivanje zakona, ali nikad se neću suprotstaviti mišljenju većine naroda."

Danas Mihail Sergejevič Gorbačov, posljednji predsjednik SSSR-a i najveći demokrat od lidera tadašnjeg Saveza, slavi 91. rođendan. Tom prigodom bi se valjalo podsjetiti kako je on gledao na potencijalnu eksalaciju sukoba između istočnog i zapadnog bloka i rata općenito. Također, u intervjuu za BBC iz 2019. godine, je bivši generalni sekretat Sovijeta iznio svoje mišljenje o Putinu kao vođi te njegovom stilu vladanja.
