Zastupnici su glasovali suprotno odluci koju je krajem prošlog mjeseca izglasovao odbor za promet.

Ukupno trajanje leta i dežurstva, tijekom kojeg piloti trebaju biti u pripravnosti, ne smije prelaziti 22 sata. To je također nedovoljno za sindikate koji su tražili da to ne smije biti više od 18 sati.

"Biste li ušli u zrakoplov kad biste znali da će pilot morati ostati budan 22 sata prije slijetanja. Ubuduće, nećete imati izbora", kažu u europskoj udruzi pilota.

Europski parlamant izglasovao je u srijedu na plenarnoj sjednici u Strasbourgu uredbu kojom se pilotima skraćuje maksimalno vrijeme letenja s 11 sati i 45 minuta na 11 sati, čime su zadovoljne zrakoplovne tvrtke za razliku od sindikata koji su tražili ograničenje na maksimalno 10 sati.
