Diljem svijeta pandemija koronavirusa gotovo da i ne 'uzima predah', o čemu svakodnevno svjedoči i stalni rast broja novozaraženih i umrlih osoba od posljedica bolesti Covida-19. Trenutno, u svijetu je zaraženo 1,383,436 osoba od čega je 78,917 smrtnih slučajeva. S druge strane, dobra vijest je da se od posljedica koronavirusa do sada oporavilo 297,369 osoba.

U traženju izlaza iz globalne zdravstvene situacije, u posljednje vrijeme spominju se mnogi načini liječenja i medikamenti, no posebnu su pažnju privukli lijekovi hidroksiklorokin i klorokin, dva relativno jeftina lijeka koji su se stoljećima koristili u liječenju malarije.

Lijek klorokin, u liječenju bolesti Covid-19, koristi se i u Švedskoj, no nekoliko bolnica navodno je prekinulo s ovom praksom nakon što su se kod pacijenata pojavile neželjene nuspojave.

Nacionalni časopis Expressen objavio je da su bolnice u regiji Västra Götaland prekinule s korištenjem antimalarijskog lijeka budući da su pacijenti počeli pokazivati nuspojave poput grčeva i gubitka perifernog vida.

Jednom od oboljelih, Carlu Sydenhagu (40) koronavirus dijagnosticiran je 23. ožujka, nakon čega mu je propisano uzimati dvije tablete klorokina dnevnom. No, umjesto da se osjeća bolje, Sydengahen je iskusio nuspojave u obliku grčeva, gubitka vida i jakih glavobolja. 

Magnus Gisslén, profesor i glavni liječnik u klinici za infektivne bolesti Sveučilišne bolnice Sahlgrenska, za časopis Göteborgs-Posten izjavio je da su poput ostalih liječnika i oni svojim pacijentima oboljelim od koronavirusa davali lijek klorokin, no s tom praksom su prestali prije dva tjedna.

- Nuspojave lijeka klorokin mnogo su ozbiljnije, no što smo isprva mislili. Nikako ih ne bismo smjeli ignorirati, posebice jer se radi o velikoj dozi lijeka, a također, nemamo ni čvrste dokaze da spomenuti lijek djeluje na Covid-19, rekao je Gisslén.

Uz klorokin, posljednjih tjedana dosta je govora bilo i o korištenju lijeka hidroksiklorokina u liječenju koronavirusa na što se posebno osvrnuo američki predsjednik Donald Trump - tvrdeći da su rani rezultati liječenja ovim lijekom vrlo ohrabrujući te da je savezna vlada pripremila 29 milijuna tableta hidroksiklorokina za liječenje bolesti Covid-19. Inače, američka uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) prošlog je mjeseca odobrila upotrebu ovog antimalarijskog lijeka u liječenju koronavirusa.

Ipak, iako ih mnogi u svijetu koriste za liječenje koronavirusa, oba lijeka u znanstvenim istraživanjima su pokazala mješovite rezultate. Jedna studija tako sugerira da spomenuti antimalarijski lijekovi ne doprinose uopće u zdravstvenom boljitku pacijenata koji već primaju neki oblik antivirusne terapije, dok drugo istraživanje iz Francuske upućuje da lijekovi dramatično smanjuju virusni teret kod pacijenata s bolešću Covid-19.

Američki liječnik i imunolog dr. Anthony Fauci za CBS je rekao:

- Bilo je slučajeva koji su pokazali da lijek klorokin ima utjecaj na liječenje bolesti Covid-19, no isto tako bilo je i onih slučajeva kod kojih se nije pokazao nikakav pozitivan učinak. Stoga, što se znanosti tiče, ne možemo tvrditi da ovaj lijek djeluje na liječenje koronavirusa.

Diljem svijeta pandemija koronavirusa gotovo da i ne 'uzima predah', o čemu svakodnevno svjedoči i stalni rast broja novozaraženih i umrlih osoba od posljedica bolesti Covida-19. Trenutno, u svijetu je zaraženo 1,383,436 osoba od čega je 78,917 smrtnih slučajeva. S druge strane, dobra vijest je da se od posljedica koronavirusa do sada oporavilo 297,369 osoba.

U traženju izlaza iz globalne zdravstvene situacije, u posljednje vrijeme spominju se mnogi načini liječenja i medikamenti, no posebnu su pažnju privukli lijekovi hidroksiklorokin i klorokin, dva relativno jeftina lijeka koji su se stoljećima koristili u liječenju malarije.

Lijek klorokin, u liječenju bolesti Covid-19, koristi se i u Švedskoj, no nekoliko bolnica navodno je prekinulo s ovom praksom nakon što su se kod pacijenata pojavile neželjene nuspojave.

Nacionalni časopis Expressen objavio je da su bolnice u regiji Västra Götaland prekinule s korištenjem antimalarijskog lijeka budući da su pacijenti počeli pokazivati nuspojave poput grčeva i gubitka perifernog vida.

Jednom od oboljelih, Carlu Sydenhagu (40) koronavirus dijagnosticiran je 23. ožujka, nakon čega mu je propisano uzimati dvije tablete klorokina dnevnom. No, umjesto da se osjeća bolje, Sydengahen je iskusio nuspojave u obliku grčeva, gubitka vida i jakih glavobolja. 

Magnus Gisslén, profesor i glavni liječnik u klinici za infektivne bolesti Sveučilišne bolnice Sahlgrenska, za časopis Göteborgs-Posten izjavio je da su poput ostalih liječnika i oni svojim pacijentima oboljelim od koronavirusa davali lijek klorokin, no s tom praksom su prestali prije dva tjedna.

- Nuspojave lijeka klorokin mnogo su ozbiljnije, no što smo isprva mislili. Nikako ih ne bismo smjeli ignorirati, posebice jer se radi o velikoj dozi lijeka, a također, nemamo ni čvrste dokaze da spomenuti lijek djeluje na Covid-19, rekao je Gisslén.

Uz klorokin, posljednjih tjedana dosta je govora bilo i o korištenju lijeka hidroksiklorokina u liječenju koronavirusa na što se posebno osvrnuo američki predsjednik Donald Trump - tvrdeći da su rani rezultati liječenja ovim lijekom vrlo ohrabrujući te da je savezna vlada pripremila 29 milijuna tableta hidroksiklorokina za liječenje bolesti Covid-19. Inače, američka uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) prošlog je mjeseca odobrila upotrebu ovog antimalarijskog lijeka u liječenju koronavirusa.

Ipak, iako ih mnogi u svijetu koriste za liječenje koronavirusa, oba lijeka u znanstvenim istraživanjima su pokazala mješovite rezultate. Jedna studija tako sugerira da spomenuti antimalarijski lijekovi ne doprinose uopće u zdravstvenom boljitku pacijenata koji već primaju neki oblik antivirusne terapije, dok drugo istraživanje iz Francuske upućuje da lijekovi dramatično smanjuju virusni teret kod pacijenata s bolešću Covid-19.

Američki liječnik i imunolog dr. Anthony Fauci za CBS je rekao:

- Bilo je slučajeva koji su pokazali da lijek klorokin ima utjecaj na liječenje bolesti Covid-19, no isto tako bilo je i onih slučajeva kod kojih se nije pokazao nikakav pozitivan učinak. Stoga, što se znanosti tiče, ne možemo tvrditi da ovaj lijek djeluje na liječenje koronavirusa.

Diljem svijeta pandemija koronavirusa gotovo da i ne 'uzima predah', o čemu svakodnevno svjedoči i stalni rast broja novozaraženih i umrlih osoba od posljedica bolesti Covida-19. Trenutno, u svijetu je zaraženo 1,383,436 osoba od čega je 78,917 smrtnih slučajeva. S druge strane, dobra vijest je da se od posljedica koronavirusa do sada oporavilo 297,369 osoba.

U traženju izlaza iz globalne zdravstvene situacije, u posljednje vrijeme spominju se mnogi načini liječenja i medikamenti, no posebnu su pažnju privukli lijekovi hidroksiklorokin i klorokin, dva relativno jeftina lijeka koji su se stoljećima koristili u liječenju malarije.
