Postoji rizik od drugog vala pandemije koronavirusa u Velikoj Britaniji, dok su vjerojatna lokalizirana žarišta, poručile su u srijedu glavne britanske medicinske udruge, u jednom od najsnažnijih upozorenja Borisu Johnsonu koji ublažava restriktivne mjere kako bi pomogao ekonomiji.

Velika Britanija je među zemljama s najvećim brojem mrtvih od koronavirusa, ali, sukladno usporavanju širenja koronavirusa, brojne se restrikcije ukidaju 4. srpnja.

Snažni drugi val zaraze koronavirusom noćna je mora za vođe širom svijeta.

Mnogi od britanskih medicinskih stručnjaka upozorili su da je potrebno odmah se pripremiti za takav scenarij.

"Iako je teško predvidjeti budući oblik pandemije u Velikoj Britaniji, dostupni podaci ukazuju da su sve vjerojatnija lokalna žarišta, dok je drugi val stvarni rizik", poručila su britanska medicinska udruženja u pismu objavljenom u British Medical Journalu.

Pismo potpisuje 15 eminentnih profesionalnih udruga i sindikata, uključujući, čelnike Kraljevskog koledža kirurga, Kraljevskog koledža liječnika, Kraljevski koledža hitne medicine i Britanske zdravstvene organizacije.

"Brojni elementi infrastrukture potrebne za suzbijanje virusa počinju se postavljati, ali preostaju značajni izazovi", napisali su.

Objavivši da se Engleska budi iz "hibernacije" Johnson je kazao da se otvaraju pubovi, restorani i hoteli od 4. srpnja.

"Iako ostajemo pripravni, ne vjerujemo da trenutno postoji rizik drugog vrhunca u broju infekcija koji bi mogao preplaviti NHS (britanski zdravstveni sustav)", rekao je premijer u utorak.

U ponedjeljak je zabilježen najmanji dnevni porast broja umrlih (15 osoba) u Velikoj Britaniji od sredine ožujka.

Do sada je umrlo čak 54.139 osoba u Velikoj Britaniji, pri čemu je u SAD-u samo više ljudi umrlo.
Johnsona, koji je sam završio na odjelu intenzivne njege zbog infekcije koronavirusom, kritizirala je oporba zbog zakašnjelog uvođenja karantene, nedovoljno dostupne zaštitne opreme te zbog sustava testiranja i praćenja.

Stručnjaci u pismu govore o fokusiranju na "područja slabosti" kako bi se spriječio drugi val pandemije u interesu zaštite života i što bržeg obnavljanja gospodarstva.

Drugi potpisnici pisma su Anne Marie Rafferty, predsjednica sindikata medicinskih sestara Kraljevski koledž sestrinstva, Maggie Rae, predsjednica dobrotvorne udruge Faculty of Public Health i Richard Horton, glavni urednik znanstvenog časopisa Lancet.

Johnsonov glasnogovornik odgovorio je da će vlasti i dalje jamčiti potrebne resurse zdravstvenim službama te da će usko surađivati s NHS-om kako bi se Velika Britanija pripremila za zim

Postoji rizik od drugog vala pandemije koronavirusa u Velikoj Britaniji, dok su vjerojatna lokalizirana žarišta, poručile su u srijedu glavne britanske medicinske udruge, u jednom od najsnažnijih upozorenja Borisu Johnsonu koji ublažava restriktivne mjere kako bi pomogao ekonomiji.

Velika Britanija je među zemljama s najvećim brojem mrtvih od koronavirusa, ali, sukladno usporavanju širenja koronavirusa, brojne se restrikcije ukidaju 4. srpnja.

Snažni drugi val zaraze koronavirusom noćna je mora za vođe širom svijeta.

Mnogi od britanskih medicinskih stručnjaka upozorili su da je potrebno odmah se pripremiti za takav scenarij.

"Iako je teško predvidjeti budući oblik pandemije u Velikoj Britaniji, dostupni podaci ukazuju da su sve vjerojatnija lokalna žarišta, dok je drugi val stvarni rizik", poručila su britanska medicinska udruženja u pismu objavljenom u British Medical Journalu.

Pismo potpisuje 15 eminentnih profesionalnih udruga i sindikata, uključujući, čelnike Kraljevskog koledža kirurga, Kraljevskog koledža liječnika, Kraljevski koledža hitne medicine i Britanske zdravstvene organizacije.

"Brojni elementi infrastrukture potrebne za suzbijanje virusa počinju se postavljati, ali preostaju značajni izazovi", napisali su.

Objavivši da se Engleska budi iz "hibernacije" Johnson je kazao da se otvaraju pubovi, restorani i hoteli od 4. srpnja.

"Iako ostajemo pripravni, ne vjerujemo da trenutno postoji rizik drugog vrhunca u broju infekcija koji bi mogao preplaviti NHS (britanski zdravstveni sustav)", rekao je premijer u utorak.

U ponedjeljak je zabilježen najmanji dnevni porast broja umrlih (15 osoba) u Velikoj Britaniji od sredine ožujka.

Do sada je umrlo čak 54.139 osoba u Velikoj Britaniji, pri čemu je u SAD-u samo više ljudi umrlo.
Johnsona, koji je sam završio na odjelu intenzivne njege zbog infekcije koronavirusom, kritizirala je oporba zbog zakašnjelog uvođenja karantene, nedovoljno dostupne zaštitne opreme te zbog sustava testiranja i praćenja.

Stručnjaci u pismu govore o fokusiranju na "područja slabosti" kako bi se spriječio drugi val pandemije u interesu zaštite života i što bržeg obnavljanja gospodarstva.

Drugi potpisnici pisma su Anne Marie Rafferty, predsjednica sindikata medicinskih sestara Kraljevski koledž sestrinstva, Maggie Rae, predsjednica dobrotvorne udruge Faculty of Public Health i Richard Horton, glavni urednik znanstvenog časopisa Lancet.

Johnsonov glasnogovornik odgovorio je da će vlasti i dalje jamčiti potrebne resurse zdravstvenim službama te da će usko surađivati s NHS-om kako bi se Velika Britanija pripremila za zim

Postoji rizik od drugog vala pandemije koronavirusa u Velikoj Britaniji, dok su vjerojatna lokalizirana žarišta, poručile su u srijedu glavne britanske medicinske udruge, u jednom od najsnažnijih upozorenja Borisu Johnsonu koji ublažava restriktivne mjere kako bi pomogao ekonomiji.

Velika Britanija je među zemljama s najvećim brojem mrtvih od koronavirusa, ali, sukladno usporavanju širenja koronavirusa, brojne se restrikcije ukidaju 4. srpnja.

Snažni drugi val zaraze koronavirusom noćna je mora za vođe širom svijeta.
