Vesna Bandić napisala je pismo svojem pokojnom suprugu i bivšem gradonačelniku Zagreba Milanu Bandiću ususret godišnjici njegove smrti (28. veljače 2021.)

Njezini pismo Večernji list prenio je u cijelosti:

"Prošlo je dugih godinu dana bez moga Milana, na životu me drže uspomene na 40 godina ljubavi i naša Ana-Marija.

Teško je, a što vrijeme prolazi sve je i teže. Često me misli zavaraju i pomislim da je na poslovnom putu, da će doći, napraviti nered u stanu s papirima, zaprljati kuhinju svojim specijalitetima, donijeti previše voća i povrća od kumica s Dolca, unijeti nervozu, ma sve bih mu oprostila.

Ne nedostaje Milan samo meni, nedostaje i Zagrepčanima. Ljudi mi imaju potrebu reći da se vidi da ga nema, obični mali ljudi koji ga smatraju svojim, koji su mu zahvalni na puno toga što je učinio, on je doista živio za ovaj grad, poznavao baš svaki njegov kutak, očinskom ljubavi se odnosio prema svakom kvartu, ulici, parku, stanovnku i posjetitelju. Ana-Marija i ja smo znale biti i ljubomorne na Zagreb - koji je postao dio njega i njegova identiteta.

Za njegova života o malo toga sam morala brinuti, on je bio naša stijena. Boli me jer Milanu još nismo uspjeli napraviti spomenik, jer znate da je on živ da bi on bi to riješio u roku odmah kao što je sve rješavao, svima, ne samo meni. Ovako me muči osjećaj krivnje, odnosno nemir, da sam ili da smo ga iznevjerili, no nije tako. Nadam se i vjerujem da će naš novi gradonačelnik, gospodin Tomašević dati suglasnost za izgradnju.

Želja mi je da iduće godine svome suprugu palim svijeću na spomeniku kakav zaslužuje. Osim što je Milan bio gradonačelnik, on je prije svega bio otac, suprug, brat i prijatelj kojem imamo potrebu iskazati poštovanje i zahvalnost. Želim da počiva u miru, ali da neumorno, zajedno s našim Rudijem trči – nebeskim livadama", stoji u pismo koje prenosi Večernji list.

Vesna Bandić napisala je pismo svojem pokojnom suprugu i bivšem gradonačelniku Zagreba Milanu Bandiću ususret godišnjici njegove smrti (28. veljače 2021.)

Njezini pismo Večernji list prenio je u cijelosti:

"Prošlo je dugih godinu dana bez moga Milana, na životu me drže uspomene na 40 godina ljubavi i naša Ana-Marija.

Teško je, a što vrijeme prolazi sve je i teže. Često me misli zavaraju i pomislim da je na poslovnom putu, da će doći, napraviti nered u stanu s papirima, zaprljati kuhinju svojim specijalitetima, donijeti previše voća i povrća od kumica s Dolca, unijeti nervozu, ma sve bih mu oprostila.

Ne nedostaje Milan samo meni, nedostaje i Zagrepčanima. Ljudi mi imaju potrebu reći da se vidi da ga nema, obični mali ljudi koji ga smatraju svojim, koji su mu zahvalni na puno toga što je učinio, on je doista živio za ovaj grad, poznavao baš svaki njegov kutak, očinskom ljubavi se odnosio prema svakom kvartu, ulici, parku, stanovnku i posjetitelju. Ana-Marija i ja smo znale biti i ljubomorne na Zagreb - koji je postao dio njega i njegova identiteta.

Za njegova života o malo toga sam morala brinuti, on je bio naša stijena. Boli me jer Milanu još nismo uspjeli napraviti spomenik, jer znate da je on živ da bi on bi to riješio u roku odmah kao što je sve rješavao, svima, ne samo meni. Ovako me muči osjećaj krivnje, odnosno nemir, da sam ili da smo ga iznevjerili, no nije tako. Nadam se i vjerujem da će naš novi gradonačelnik, gospodin Tomašević dati suglasnost za izgradnju.

Želja mi je da iduće godine svome suprugu palim svijeću na spomeniku kakav zaslužuje. Osim što je Milan bio gradonačelnik, on je prije svega bio otac, suprug, brat i prijatelj kojem imamo potrebu iskazati poštovanje i zahvalnost. Želim da počiva u miru, ali da neumorno, zajedno s našim Rudijem trči – nebeskim livadama", stoji u pismo koje prenosi Večernji list.
