Bivši gradonačelnik Čakovca Stjepan Kovač ostao je zapamćen kao političar koji se rasplakao pred novinarima zbog prijetnji upućenih njemu i obitelji, ako se ne povuče iz kandidature za novi mandat gradonačelnika. Kovač je pustio suze dok je šef SDP-a, Peđa Grbin, za predizborne kampanje bio u posjetu Čakovcu, kako bi dao podršku stranačkom kandidatu.

Sudeći prema optužnici USKOK-a, Stjepan Kovač je dobar glumac. Prijetnje je, navodno, sam inscenirao, piše Jutarnji list.

Međimurci Kovača ne vole. Kažu da je arogantan i bahat. Čakovčani tako ne misle, jer mladi Stjepan Kovač osvojio je dva mandata. Treći je izgubio od kandidatkinje s Nezavisne liste Matije Posavca, Ljerke Cividini. Saborski je zastupnik od 2016. godine. Kovač ima 45 godina, rođen je 9. veljače 1976. godine. Sa završenom višom školom na Međimurskom učilištu Čakovec, ima zvanje stručnog prvostupnika računarstva.

U Saboru je u dosadašnjim mandatima bio član Odbora za imenovanja i upravne poslove, Odbora za regionalni razvoj i poslove Europske unije te Odbora za lokalnu i regionalnu samoupravu.

Socijaldemokrat je od 2005. godine, a 12 godina je vodio privatnu firmu pa se još kao vrlo mlad posvetio isključivo politici.

Oženjen je i ima troje djece, pjevao je u zboru "Josip Štolcer Slavenski", član je lokalnog DVD-a.

Stjepan Kovač punio je novinske stupce lokalnih medija u kolovozu 2019. godine, kad su novinari tjednika Međimurje otkrili priču o gradskom zemljištu koje je za manje od 34 tisuće kuna kupila njegova supruga, i o izgradnji bazena pokraj obiteljske kuće, na lijepom položaju, uz prometnicu prema Mihovljanu.

Za zemljište se branio da je suprugino naslijeđe od pokojne majke, koja ga je dragovoljno platila nakon što su okolni stanari, zbog birokratske zavrzlame inicirali da im se čestice daruju. Kovač, rekao je, na to nije "želio pristati" i supruga je zemljište platila.

Što se tiče bazena, njega im je, kaže, poklonio tast, "koji je cijelog života radio u Austriji".

- Bazen je dar unucima – rekao je Stjepan Kovač.

Novinari su tada u njegovu dvorištu snimili i vrijedni automobil marke BMW. Kovač je rekao kako je BMW u trenutku kupnje vrijedio 300.000 kuna. Da bi ga kupio, prodao je stari automobil za 120.000 kuna dok je ostali novac digao na kredit.

Na njegove su tvrdnje novinari zaključili da se "gradonačelnik očigledno dobro oženio". Roditelji njegove supruge, naime, cijeli su svoj radni staž proveli u Austriji, u Beču imaju nekretnine u vlasništvu. Kuća u kojoj žive Kovačevi, također je naslijeđe suprugine majke.

– Mirno spavam i sve ono što imam mogu lako dokazati da sam stekao na zakonit način. Svjestan sam da sam javna osoba, podložan kritici i mene to ne smeta. Na ovoj poziciji sam šest godina i na neke stvari sam oguglao, ali da miješaju moju obitelj i suprugine roditelje nije fer i u redu – rekao je tada Stjepan Kovač na konferenciji za novinare koju je sazvao kako bi odgovorio na preispitivanja odakle mu novac.

Bivši gradonačelnik Čakovca Stjepan Kovač ostao je zapamćen kao političar koji se rasplakao pred novinarima zbog prijetnji upućenih njemu i obitelji, ako se ne povuče iz kandidature za novi mandat gradonačelnika. Kovač je pustio suze dok je šef SDP-a, Peđa Grbin, za predizborne kampanje bio u posjetu Čakovcu, kako bi dao podršku stranačkom kandidatu.

Sudeći prema optužnici USKOK-a, Stjepan Kovač je dobar glumac. Prijetnje je, navodno, sam inscenirao, piše Jutarnji list.

Međimurci Kovača ne vole. Kažu da je arogantan i bahat. Čakovčani tako ne misle, jer mladi Stjepan Kovač osvojio je dva mandata. Treći je izgubio od kandidatkinje s Nezavisne liste Matije Posavca, Ljerke Cividini. Saborski je zastupnik od 2016. godine. Kovač ima 45 godina, rođen je 9. veljače 1976. godine. Sa završenom višom školom na Međimurskom učilištu Čakovec, ima zvanje stručnog prvostupnika računarstva.

U Saboru je u dosadašnjim mandatima bio član Odbora za imenovanja i upravne poslove, Odbora za regionalni razvoj i poslove Europske unije te Odbora za lokalnu i regionalnu samoupravu.

Socijaldemokrat je od 2005. godine, a 12 godina je vodio privatnu firmu pa se još kao vrlo mlad posvetio isključivo politici.

Oženjen je i ima troje djece, pjevao je u zboru "Josip Štolcer Slavenski", član je lokalnog DVD-a.

Stjepan Kovač punio je novinske stupce lokalnih medija u kolovozu 2019. godine, kad su novinari tjednika Međimurje otkrili priču o gradskom zemljištu koje je za manje od 34 tisuće kuna kupila njegova supruga, i o izgradnji bazena pokraj obiteljske kuće, na lijepom položaju, uz prometnicu prema Mihovljanu.

Za zemljište se branio da je suprugino naslijeđe od pokojne majke, koja ga je dragovoljno platila nakon što su okolni stanari, zbog birokratske zavrzlame inicirali da im se čestice daruju. Kovač, rekao je, na to nije "želio pristati" i supruga je zemljište platila.

Što se tiče bazena, njega im je, kaže, poklonio tast, "koji je cijelog života radio u Austriji".

- Bazen je dar unucima – rekao je Stjepan Kovač.

Novinari su tada u njegovu dvorištu snimili i vrijedni automobil marke BMW. Kovač je rekao kako je BMW u trenutku kupnje vrijedio 300.000 kuna. Da bi ga kupio, prodao je stari automobil za 120.000 kuna dok je ostali novac digao na kredit.

Na njegove su tvrdnje novinari zaključili da se "gradonačelnik očigledno dobro oženio". Roditelji njegove supruge, naime, cijeli su svoj radni staž proveli u Austriji, u Beču imaju nekretnine u vlasništvu. Kuća u kojoj žive Kovačevi, također je naslijeđe suprugine majke.

– Mirno spavam i sve ono što imam mogu lako dokazati da sam stekao na zakonit način. Svjestan sam da sam javna osoba, podložan kritici i mene to ne smeta. Bivši gradonačelnik Čakovca Stjepan Kovač ostao je zapamćen kao političar koji se rasplakao pred novinarima zbog prijetnji upućenih njemu i obitelji, ako se ne povuče iz kandidature za novi mandat gradonačelnika. Kovač je pustio suze dok je šef SDP-a, Peđa Grbin, za predizborne kampanje bio u posjetu Čakovcu, kako bi dao podršku stranačkom kandidatu.

Sudeći prema optužnici USKOK-a, Stjepan Kovač je dobar glumac. Prijetnje je, navodno, sam inscenirao, piše Jutarnji list.

Međimurci Kovača ne vole. Kažu da je arogantan i bahat. Čakovčani tako ne misle, jer mladi Stjepan Kovač osvojio je dva mandata. Treći je izgubio od kandidatkinje s Nezavisne liste Matije Posavca, Ljerke Cividini. Saborski je zastupnik od 2016. godine. Kovač ima 45 godina, rođen je 9. veljače 1976. god...
