U subotu je u Zagrebu bila tradicionalna Noć vaterpola kao godišnja fešta Hrvatskog vaterpolskog saveza, a u nedjelju se dogodila „Noć Jadrana”. Nikad u Hrvatskoj jadranaši nisu osvojili domaći trofej, a sada u jedan dan dva. Prvo su seniorke osvojile Kup u finalu protiv Mladosti, a potom i seniori u briljantnoj utakmici u kojoj su „razbili” moćni dubrovački Jug Adriatic Osiguranje.

Malo je reći da je predsjednik Jadrana Albert Pavlović presretan. 

- Velika stvar su za naš kub dva trofeja nakon skoro pa 29 godina, tamo od 1993. i našeg drugog Kupa prvaka. Mi smo se pripremali, tempirali sve za ovo finale Kupa, počelo je s curama, to je veliko iznenađenje. Do sada su igrale finala, ali bili su daleko od Mladosti. Ove godine su zaista odigrale fenomenalnu utakmicu. Povele, Mladost je okrenula na 10:7, ali velikom željom, srcem, upornošću izjednačile su na 10:10. Bila je tu i šansa to u regularnom dijelu  riješiti. Na kraju su odlučili peterci, dramatično... - u dahu nam je pričao Pavlović.

Sve su to pratili njegovi seniori, cure su ih napunile dodatnim samopouzdanjem.

- Da, bila je to kao uvertira, uslijedila je ova druga utakmica u kojoj smo vidjeli zaista fenomenalnu igru naše momčadi. Sve se stopilo u tu utakmicu, momci su bili fokusirani, do jednoga, 100 posto. Svaka čast treneru Smodlaki kako je to pripremio. Fenomenalno su nadigrali Juga u svim elementima vaterpolske igre. Moglo je početi slavlje. Velika je to stvar za našu momčad i ovo je ta utakmica koja nam je trebala, nedostajala, okidač nakon kojeg se momčad drugačije ponaša. Jedan potencijal koji puno znači za budućnost. S ovom smo utakmicom dobili i momčad i trenera. Zajedno s našom upravom to je sveto trojstvo za dalje.

Što je to dalje?

- Imamo utakmicu Lige prvaka protiv Ferencvaroša. Potom slijedi mala pauza, Božić i Nova godina, potom Liga prvaka, Regionalna liga... I sve ide prema završnici Prvenstva Hrvatske. Neki ciljevi koje smo zacrtali na početku – ulazak u Ligu prvaka i ulazak u finale Kupa, sad i osvajanje, to smo ostvarili. Sad idemo dalje – kazao je Pavlović i naglasio:

- Ovo je i ono što je nedostajalo našem klubu, Splitu, pogotovo momčadskim sportovima. Otvorili smo vrata, nadam se i titulama Hajduka, “Jugoplastike”... Da vratimo kolektivni sport u gradu na visoke grane.

Kakav je odjek ovih trofeja u gradu?

- Vidim što smo napravili po brojnim porukama, čestitkama, vidiš što Jadran znači u gradu. Svi su oduševljeni, zatrpani smo...

Kako ste proslavili titule u Zagrebu?

- Bila je to eksplozija emocija. Išli smo na večeru na Jarun, zapivali, momci i cure zajedno. One su potom krenule autobusom nazad, a oni na spavanje i na put u Budimpeštu.

Momci su igrali doista fantastično. Jeste li očekivali da će ići baš tako glatko?

- Jug je odlična momčad, dugo zajedno, a razbiješ ih u svim elementima igre. Igrali smo samouvjereno. Iskreno sam vjerovao u ovu momčad. I imao sam takvi špurijus... Gledao sam te igrače, kako su bili fokusirani. Vjerovao sam u pobjedu. Nisam mislio da ćemo je tako nadmoćno ostvariti, ali jesam da ćemo uzeti trofej, da će se na ovome Kupu dogoditi to. Prekrasna večer.

Jadran je složio upravu od bivših igrača, vrhunskih, tu su uz vas i Bezmalinović, Drnasin, Duhović, Ježina... Kako je vama bilo gledati ova finala?

- Mi kao uprava, igrači koji smo igrali davno, sad smo se vratili u mladost kao da smo mi igrali, vladala je pozitivna nervoza. Pozitivan adrenalin koji možeš imati samo kad igraš.

Tijekom ljeta ste napravili temelje ovih kupova. Kada ste slagali momčad, radili ste kao Hajduk nekoć, na bazu splitskih igrača doveli ste nekoliko ekstra pojačanja i to se pokazalo kao dobar put.

- Upravo to, pojačanja smo ove godine ciljano birali i trebao nam je jedan Nikša Dobud, vrhunski sportaš, natjecatelj. On daje momčadi ogromnu snagu i s njim igraju svi duplo bolje. Luka Bukić je pokazao koliko vrijedi, odigrao je maestralnu utakmicu, proglašen najboljim igračem, ekstraklasa. Tu je fantastični ljevak Harkov gdje smo na desnoj strani sada opasni, drugačije nas protivnici gledaju. Sve momčadi u vrhu to imaju. Anić je bio fenomenalan, obranio sve što se moglo, toliko samouvjereno. Pamtim obranu s dvije ruke Maru Jokoviću, nakon toga sam znao da je to to. Spojilo se iskustvo s mladima i sad smo zaista prava momčad.

Koja je tajna ovakve dominantne predstave protiv Juga?

- Zaista smo radili dugo, puno je utakmica odigrano. Ali ključna je Liga prvaka u kojoj imaš priliku igrati s najboljima za svijetu, pogotovo u našoj grupi. Nama kao mladoj ekipi je to ključno, tu se stvaraju pravi igrači, stječe iskustvo koje ne možeš nadoknaditi. Kroz utakmice se stvaraju šampioni. Zato je bitno igrati u Ligi prvaka, a sad dolaze finala i osvajanja trofeja. Ovo je prvo finale u koje su muški ušli s uvjerenjem da možemo pobijedili – i jesmo. Ali cure su napravili ekstra podvig. Iako znamo koliko rade i nije ništa slučajno. Ipak, Mladost je bila dominantna do sada, ali to je sport. I kad se igra na jednu utakmicu, sve se tu fokusira i sve je otvoreno. Papir ne znači ništa... - zaključio je Pavlović.

U subotu je u Zagrebu bila tradicionalna Noć vaterpola kao godišnja fešta Hrvatskog vaterpolskog saveza, a u nedjelju se dogodila „Noć Jadrana”. Nikad u Hrvatskoj jadranaši nisu osvojili domaći trofej, a sada u jedan dan dva. Prvo su seniorke osvojile Kup u finalu protiv Mladosti, a potom i seniori u briljantnoj utakmici u kojoj su „razbili” moćni dubrovački Jug Adriatic Osiguranje.

Malo je reći da je predsjednik Jadrana Albert Pavlović presretan. 

- Velika stvar su za naš kub dva trofeja nakon skoro pa 29 godina, tamo od 1993. i našeg drugog Kupa prvaka. Mi smo se pripremali, tempirali sve za ovo finale Kupa, počelo je s curama, to je veliko iznenađenje. Do sada su igrale finala, ali bili su daleko od Mladosti. Ove godine su zaista odigrale fenomenalnu utakmicu. Povele, Mladost je okrenula na 10:7, ali velikom željom, srcem, upornošću izjednačile su na 10:10. Bila je tu i šansa to u regularnom dijelu  riješiti. Na kraju su odlučili peterci, dramatično... - u dahu nam je pričao Pavlović.

Sve su to pratili njegovi seniori, cure su ih napunile dodatnim samopouzdanjem.

- Da, bila je to kao uvertira, uslijedila je ova druga utakmica u kojoj smo vidjeli zaista fenomenalnu igru naše momčadi. Sve se stopilo u tu utakmicu, momci su bili fokusirani, do jednoga, 100 posto. Svaka čast treneru Smodlaki kako je to pripremio. Fenomenalno su nadigrali Juga u svim elementima vaterpolske igre. Moglo je početi slavlje. Velika je to stvar za našu momčad i ovo je ta utakmica koja nam je trebala, nedostajala, okidač nakon kojeg se momčad drugačije ponaša. Jedan potencijal koji puno znači za budućnost. S ovom smo utakmicom dobili i momčad i trenera. Zajedno s našom upravom to je sveto trojstvo za dalje.

Što je to dalje?

- Imamo utakmicu Lige prvaka protiv Ferencvaroša. Potom slijedi mala pauza, Božić i Nova godina, potom Liga prvaka, Regionalna liga... I sve ide prema završnici Prvenstva Hrvatske. Neki ciljevi koje smo zacrtali na početku – ulazak u Ligu prvaka i ulazak u finale Kupa, sad i osvajanje, to smo ostvarili. Sad idemo dalje – kazao je Pavlović i naglasio:

- Ovo je i ono što je nedostajalo našem klubu, Splitu, pogotovo momčadskim sportovima. Otvorili smo vrata, nadam se i titulama Hajduka, “Jugoplastike”... Da vratimo kolektivni sport u gradu na visoke grane.

Kakav je odjek ovih trofeja u gradu?

- Vidim što smo napravili po brojnim porukama, čestitkama, vidiš što Jadran znači u gradu. Svi su oduševljeni, zatrpani smo...

Kako ste proslavili titule u Zagrebu?

- Bila je to eksplozija emocija. Išli smo na večeru na Jarun, zapivali, momci i cure zajedno. One su potom krenule autobusom nazad, a oni na spavanje i na put u Budimpeštu.

Momci su igrali doista fantastično. Jeste li očekivali da će ići baš tako glatko?

- Jug je odlična momčad, dugo zajedno, a razbiješ ih u svim elementima igre. Igrali smo samouvjereno. Iskreno sam vjerovao u ovu momčad. I imao sam takvi špurijus... Gledao sam te igrače, kako su bili fokusirani. Vjerovao sam u pobjedu. Nisam mislio da ćemo je tako nadmoćno ostvariti, ali jesam da ćemo uzeti trofej, da će se na ovome Kupu dogoditi to. Prekrasna večer.

Jadran je složio upravu od bivših igrača, vrhunskih, tu su uz vas i Bezmalinović, Drnasin, Duhović, Ježina... Kako je vama bilo gledati ova finala?

- Mi kao uprava, igrači koji smo igrali davno, sad smo se vratili u mladost kao da smo mi igrali, vladala je pozitivna nervoza. Pozitivan adrenalin koji možeš imati samo kad igraš.

Tijekom ljeta ste napravili temelje ovih kupova. Kada ste slagali momčad, radili ste kao Hajduk nekoć, na bazu splitskih igrača doveli ste nekoliko ekstra pojačanja i to se pokazalo kao dobar put.

- Upravo to, pojačanja smo ove godine ciljano birali i trebao nam je jedan Nikša Dobud, vrhunski sportaš, natjecatelj. On daje momčadi ogromnu snagu i s njim igraju svi duplo bolje. Luka Bukić je pokazao koliko vrijedi, odigrao je maestralnu utakmicu, proglašen najboljim igračem, ekstraklasa. Tu je fantastični ljevak Harkov gdje smo na desnoj strani sada opasni, drugačije nas protivnici gledaju. Sve momčadi u vrhu to imaju. Anić je bio fenomenalan, obranio sve što se moglo, toliko samouvjereno. Pamtim obranu s dvije ruke Maru Jokoviću, nakon toga sam znao da je to to. Spojilo se iskustvo s mladima i sad smo zaista prava momčad.

Koja je tajna ovakve dominantne predstave protiv Juga?

- Zaista smo radili dugo, puno je utakmica odigrano. Ali ključna je Liga prvaka u kojoj imaš priliku igrati s najboljima za svijetu, pogotovo u našoj grupi. Nama kao mladoj ekipi je to ključno, tu se stvaraju pravi igrači, stječe iskustvo koje ne možeš nadoknaditi. Kroz utakmice se stvaraju šampioni. Zato je bitno igrati u Ligi prvaka, a sad dolaze finala i osvajanja trofeja. Ovo je prvo finale u koje su muški ušli s uvjerenjem da možemo pobijedili – i jesmo. Ali cure su napravili ekstra podvig. Iako znamo koliko rade i nije ništa slučajno. Ipak, Mladost je bila dominantna do sada, ali to je sport. I kad se igra na jednu utakmicu, sve se tu fokusira i sve je otvoreno. Papir ne znači ništa... - zaključio je Pavlović.
