Europsko rukometno prvenstvo ulazi u završnicu, ali za Hrvatsku je gotovo. Turnir smo okončali remijem s Nizozemskom što nam je donijelo mršavo osmo mjesto. Dojmova je mnogo, vidjeli smo štošta. Dobrog, ali i lošeg.
Za analizu smo upitali Dragu Vukovića. Nekadašnji reprezentativac angažiran je kao stručni komentator na RTL-u, a za 'Slobodnu' je prokomentirao nastup „kauboja” na Euru.
Osmo mjesto. Uspjeh ili neuspjeh?
- Ipak, neriješeno. Ni gore, ni dole.Mislim da ni igrači s prvog Horvatovog popisa ne bi bili u borbi za medalju, a pogotovo nakon svih izmjena. Nedostajalo je puno toga da se ostvari neki ozbiljniji rezultat.
Konkretno?
- Po meni, najveća stvar je bila nedostatak igrača koji mogu igrati u oba smjera, najviše onih koji kvalitetno igraju obranu. Falilo nam je takvih. Malo smo se stabilizirali kada su se vratili Gojun i Musa.
Ne možemo se ne dotaknuti vratara. Tanki smo na toj poziciji, nedostaje nam pravi obol s njihove strane.
- Značaj vratara u rukometu je nevjerojatan. Bez barem desetak obrana po utakmici ne može se računati na ozbiljniji rezultat. Eto, zadnji put kad smo imali pravog golman, uzeli smo srebro. Stevanović je branio odlično. Vratar puno utječe na igru, daju sigurnost ekipi.
I bez značajnijeg doprinosa vratara obrana nam nije primala previše pogodaka.
- Premalo profitiramo iz te dobre obrane. Ne trčimo dovoljno naprijed u kontre i polukontre, a danas svi igraju brzo, guraju u leđa, nastoje zabiti što više laganih golova.
Vukovića brine i mali broj uigranih akcija. Previše ovisimo o individualnim rješenjima. Vidjelo se to i u susretu s Nizozemskom.
- Baš sam pričao s Perom (Metličićem, op. a.), ni njemu nije jasno da nijednom nismo postavili Šipića između njihovog prvog i drugog u obrani. Time bi dobili igru dva na dva, a njihov prvi ne bi mogao zadržati našeg pivota. To je samo jedan primjer.
Metličić se našao u centru zbivanja nakon kritike na račun izbornika Horvata.
- On je legenda rukometa i zna što govori. Sve je to u najboljoj namjeri da stvari krenu na bolje. A ove što su se kasnije javljale nije vrijedno spominjati...
Narativ je pomlađivanje reprezentacije. Jesi li zadovoljan s tim?
- Pogubili smo se u toj ideji. Smiješno je da u debitiraju ljudi od 30 i više godina. Prelako se odričemo starijih. Kao što je Pero rekao: u reprezentaciju mora biti teško ući, a još teže izaći. Jednostavno, moraju igrati najbolji, bez obzira na to koliko godina imaju.
Ipak, neke mlade smo vidjeli na djelu. Tin Lučin prometnuo se u veliko otkriće.
- Momak je sjajan. Poslao sam mu poruku da samo nastavi raditi. Pred njim je velika budućnost. I ostale mlade koju su odigrali dobro nam je donijela korona. Nisu ih ranije prepoznali i to me malo zabrinjava.
Nema puno vremena za razmišljanje. Već u travnju nas očekuju kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvo.
- Poznajem, naravno, i Balića i Horvata. Nikad nisam za nagle smjene. Ali nešto će se morati posložiti. Moraju naći udarnu postavu, složiti popis igrača koji zaista zaslužuju igrati za reprezentaciju – poručio je Vuković za kraj.

Europsko rukometno prvenstvo ulazi u završnicu, ali za Hrvatsku je gotovo. Turnir smo okončali remijem s Nizozemskom što nam je donijelo mršavo osmo mjesto. Dojmova je mnogo, vidjeli smo štošta. Dobrog, ali i lošeg.
Za analizu smo upitali Dragu Vukovića. Nekadašnji reprezentativac angažiran je kao stručni komentator na RTL-u, a za 'Slobodnu' je prokomentirao nastup „kauboja” na Euru.
Osmo mjesto. Uspjeh ili neuspjeh?
- Ipak, neriješeno. Ni gore, ni dole.Mislim da ni igrači s prvog Horvatovog popisa ne bi bili u borbi za medalju, a pogotovo nakon svih izmjena. Nedostajalo je puno toga da se ostvari neki ozbiljniji rezultat.
Konkretno?
- Po meni, najveća stvar je bila nedostatak igrača koji mogu igrati u oba smjera, najviše onih koji kvalitetno igraju obranu. Falilo nam je takvih. Malo smo se stabilizirali kada su se vratili Gojun i Musa.
Ne možemo se ne dotaknuti vratara. Tanki smo na toj poziciji, nedostaje nam pravi obol s njihove strane.
- Značaj vratara u rukometu je nevjerojatan. Bez barem desetak obrana po utakmici ne može se računati na ozbiljniji rezultat. Eto, zadnji put kad smo imali pravog golman, uzeli smo srebro. Stevanović je branio odlično. Vratar puno utječe na igru, daju sigurnost ekipi.
I bez značajnijeg doprinosa vratara obrana nam nije primala previše pogodaka.
- Premalo profitiramo iz te dobre obrane. Ne trčimo dovoljno naprijed u kontre i polukontre, a danas svi igraju brzo, guraju u leđa, nastoje zabiti što više laganih golova.
Vukovića brine i mali broj uigranih akcija. Previše ovisimo o individualnim rješenjima. Vidjelo se to i u susretu s Nizozemskom.
- Baš sam pričao s Perom (Metličićem, op. a.), ni njemu nije jasno da nijednom nismo postavili Šipića između njihovog prvog i drugog u obrani. Time bi dobili igru dva na dva, a njihov prvi ne bi mogao zadržati našeg pivota. To je samo jedan primjer.
Metličić se našao u centru zbivanja nakon kritike na račun izbornika Horvata.
- On je legenda rukometa i zna što govori. Sve je to u najboljoj namjeri da stvari krenu na bolje. A ove što su se kasnije javljale nije vrijedno spominjati...
Narativ je pomlađivanje reprezentacije. Jesi li zadovoljan s tim?
- Pogubili smo se u toj ideji. Smiješno je da u debitiraju ljudi od 30 i više godina. Prelako se odričemo starijih. Kao što je Pero rekao: u reprezentaciju mora biti teško ući, a još teže izaći. Jednostavno, moraju igrati najbolji, bez obzira na to koliko godina imaju.
Ipak, neke mlade smo vidjeli na djelu. Tin Lučin prometnuo se u veliko otkriće.
- Momak je sjajan. Poslao sam mu poruku da samo nastavi raditi. Pred njim je velika budućnost. I ostale mlade koju su odigrali dobro nam je donijela korona. Nisu ih ranije prepoznali i to me malo zabrinjava.
Nema puno vremena za razmišljanje. Već u travnju nas očekuju kvalifikacije za Svjetsko prvenstvo.
- Poznajem, naravno, i Balića i Horvata. Nikad nisam za nagle smjene. Ali nešto će se morati posložiti. Moraju naći udarnu postavu, složiti popis igrača koji zaista zaslužuju igrati za reprezentaciju – poručio je Vuković za kraj.
