Kineska muška reprezentacija u hokeju na ledu neće biti uklonjena s turnira na Zimskim olimpijskim igrama sljedeće godine u Pekingu, priopćila je u utorak Međunarodna hokejaška federacija (IIHF).

Kini je zajamčeno mjesto na turniru u hokeju na ledu zbog statusa zemlje domaćina, ali predsjednik IIHF-a Luc Tardif rekao je u rujnu da bi muška reprezentacija mogla biti izbačena s turnira zbog "nedovoljne sportske kvalitete."

Tardif je u rujnu također izrazio zabrinutost da bi uvjerljivi porazi kineskih hokejaša na ZOI u Pekingu mogli negativno utjecati na turnir i hokej na ledu općenito.

Međutim, sada je promijenio mišljenje.

- Da budemo jasni, IIHF neće ukloniti kinesku reprezentaciju s Olimpijskih igara. Status muške reprezentacije kao domaćina olimpijskog turnira u hokeju na ledu potvrdio je Kongres i ostaje nepromijenjen - rekao je na sastanku Vijeća IIHF-a u Zurichu.

IIHF je u priopćenju dodao kako surađuje s Kineskim savezom hokeja na ledu na organizaciji dvije utakmice kineske reprezentacije. Kineski reprezentativci natjecat će se kao dio ekipe HC Kunlun Red Star na dvije utakmice KHL lige, nakon čega će se Vijeće IIHF-a ponovo sastati kako bi raspravljalo o sljedećim koracima.

HC Kunlun Red Star se natječe u KHL ligi od 2016. godine, a u svojim redovima ima svega šest kineskih hokejaša.

Kineska muška reprezentacija u hokeju na ledu neće biti uklonjena s turnira na Zimskim olimpijskim igrama sljedeće godine u Pekingu, priopćila je u utorak Međunarodna hokejaška federacija (IIHF).

Kini je zajamčeno mjesto na turniru u hokeju na ledu zbog statusa zemlje domaćina, ali predsjednik IIHF-a Luc Tardif rekao je u rujnu da bi muška reprezentacija mogla biti izbačena s turnira zbog "nedovoljne sportske kvalitete."

Tardif je u rujnu također izrazio zabrinutost da bi uvjerljivi porazi kineskih hokejaša na ZOI u Pekingu mogli negativno utjecati na turnir i hokej na ledu općenito.

Međutim, sada je promijenio mišljenje.

- Da budemo jasni, IIHF neće ukloniti kinesku reprezentaciju s Olimpijskih igara. Status muške reprezentacije kao domaćina olimpijskog turnira u hokeju na ledu potvrdio je Kongres i ostaje nepromijenjen - rekao je na sastanku Vijeća IIHF-a u Zurichu.

IIHF je u priopćenju dodao kako surađuje s Kineskim savezom hokeja na ledu na organizaciji dvije utakmice kineske reprezentacije. Kineski reprezentativci natjecat će se kao dio ekipe HC Kunlun Red Star na dvije utakmice KHL lige, nakon čega će se Vijeće IIHF-a ponovo sastati kako bi raspravljalo o sljedećim koracima.

HC Kunlun Red Star se natječe u KHL ligi od 2016. godine, a u svojim redovima ima svega šest kineskih hokejaša.

Kineski hokejaši će ipak nastupiti na ZOI u Pekingu: zajamčeno im je mjesto na turniru zbog statusa zemlje domaćina

Kineska muška reprezentacija u hokeju na ledu neće biti uklonjena s turnira na Zimskim olimpijskim igrama sljedeće godine u Pekingu, priopćila je u utorak Međunarodna hokejaška federacija (IIHF).

Kini je zajamčeno mjesto na turniru u hokeju na ledu zbog statusa zemlje domaćina, ali predsjednik IIHF-a Luc Tardif rekao je u rujnu da bi muška reprezentacija mogla biti izbačena s turnira zbog "nedovoljne sportske kvalitete."

Tardif je u rujnu također izrazio zabrinutost da bi uvjerljivi porazi kineskih hokejaša na ZOI u Pekingu mogli negativno utjecati na turnir i hokej na ledu općenito.

Međutim, sada je promijenio mišljenje.

- Da budemo jasni, IIHF neće ukloniti kinesku reprezentaciju s Olimpijskih igara. Status muške reprezentacije kao domaćina olimpijskog turnira u hokeju...
