Atletičar Nijel Amos rekao je da prodaje srebrnu medalju koju je osvojio na OI u Londonu 2012. na 800 metara, prvu olimpijsku medalju Bocvane, kako bi pomogao svojoj obitelji nakon što je prošli tjedan dobio trogodišnju suspenziju zbog dopinga.

Jedinica za atletski integritet objavila je 3. svibnja da je Amosa suspendirala na tri godine nakon što je test izvan natjecanja otkrio zabranjeni metabolit u njegovom uzorku urina. Zabrana je smanjena s četiri godine nakon što je Amos potpisao priznanje, dodaje se.

Amos je rekao da je potpisao priznanje na savjet svog odvjetničkog tima.

- S obzirom na okolnosti u vezi sa slučajem, moj pravni tim i ja smatrali smo prikladnim krenuti tim smjerom kako bih dobio smanjenje zabrane - dodao je.

Lijek pronađen u tijelu 29-godišnjeg atletičara GW1516 mijenja način na koji tijelo metabolizira masti.

- U ovom trenutku, moje jedino ulaganje ili mirovina je olimpijska srebrna medalja iz 2012. - rekao je Amos novinarima u utorak u Bocvani.

- Susreo sam se s timom koji ga želi kupiti za 4,5 milijuna bocvanskih pula (339.750 dolara), ali s obzirom da dokumentarac o meni izlazi na Netflixu mogao bih promijeniti vrijednost na 7,5 milijuna.

Amosovo srebro u Londonu bila je prva olimpijska medalja za Bocvanu na Olimpijskim igrama. Ta afrička nacija osvojila je broncu u muškoj štafeti 4x400 metara na Igrama u Tokiju 2021. godine.

Amos je rekao je da se planira vratiti na stazu nakon što odsluži kaznu, koja ističe u srpnju 2025.

- Ne planiram se povući - rekao je Amos i dodao:

- Još uvijek sam u dobroj formi i nadam se da ću se ponovno uzdići na Svjetskom prvenstvu 2025.

Atletičar Nijel Amos rekao je da prodaje srebrnu medalju koju je osvojio na OI u Londonu 2012. na 800 metara, prvu olimpijsku medalju Bocvane, kako bi pomogao svojoj obitelji nakon što je prošli tjedan dobio trogodišnju suspenziju zbog dopinga.

Jedinica za atletski integritet objavila je 3. svibnja da je Amosa suspendirala na tri godine nakon što je test izvan natjecanja otkrio zabranjeni metabolit u njegovom uzorku urina. Zabrana je smanjena s četiri godine nakon što je Amos potpisao priznanje, dodaje se.

Amos je rekao da je potpisao priznanje na savjet svog odvjetničkog tima.

- S obzirom na okolnosti u vezi sa slučajem, moj pravni tim i ja smatrali smo prikladnim krenuti tim smjerom kako bih dobio smanjenje zabrane - dodao je.

Lijek pronađen u tijelu 29-godišnjeg atletičara GW1516 mijenja način na koji tijelo metabolizira masti.

- U ovom trenutku, moje jedino ulaganje ili mirovina je olimpijska srebrna medalja iz 2012. - rekao je Amos novinarima u utorak u Bocvani.

- Susreo sam se s timom koji ga želi kupiti za 4,5 milijuna bocvanskih pula (339.750 dolara), ali s obzirom da dokumentarac o meni izlazi na Netflixu mogao bih promijeniti vrijednost na 7,5 milijuna.

Amosovo srebro u Londonu bila je prva olimpijska medalja za Bocvanu na Olimpijskim igrama. Ta afrička nacija osvojila je broncu u muškoj štafeti 4x400 metara na Igrama u Tokiju 2021. godine.

Amos je rekao je da se planira vratiti na stazu nakon što odsluži kaznu, koja ističe u srpnju 2025.

- Ne planiram se povući - rekao je Amos i dodao:

- Još uvijek sam u dobroj formi i nadam se da ću se ponovno uzdići na Svjetskom prvenstvu 2025.

Atletičar Nijel Amos rekao je da prodaje srebrnu medalju koju je osvojio na OI u Londonu 2012. na 800 metara, prvu olimpijsku medalju Bocvane, kako bi pomogao svojoj obitelji nakon što je prošli tjedan dobio trogodišnju suspenziju zbog dopinga.

Jedinica za atletski integritet objavila je 3. svibnja da je Amosa suspendirala na tri godine nakon što je test izvan natjecanja otkrio zabranjeni metabolit u njegovom uzorku urina. Zabrana je smanjena s četiri godine nakon što je Amos potpisao priznanje, dodaje se.

Amos je rekao da je potpisao priznanje na savjet svog odvjetničkog tima.

- S obzirom na okolnosti u vezi sa slučajem, moj pravni tim i ja smatrali smo prikladnim krenuti tim smjerom kako bih dobio smanjenje zabrane - dodao je.
