Bivši košarkaš Orlando Magica, Golden State Warriorsa, Chicago Bullsa i New Jersey Netsa, David Vaughn (36) potrošio je sav novac koji je zaradio u NBA ligi i sada živi kao beskućnik u svom automobilu Chevrolet Impala u Orlandu.

Kako prenose američki mediji Vaughn je igrao u NBA ligi četiri sezone, od 1995. do 1999. godine i zaradio je oko 2.5 milijuna dolara, međutim sve je potrošio na luksuzne kuće, skupocjene automobile i nepouzdane investicije.

Kupio je kuće u Orlandu i Nashvilleu, te šest automobila - dva Yukona, te Corvettu, Mercedes, Range Rover i Lexus. Kada je zapao u dugove sve je rasprodao.

"Bio sam naivan i glup. Bacao sam novac u vjetar, no sada je kasno za kajanje. Živio sam kao da sutra ne postoji, žao mi je što nisam živio skromnije," kazao je 2.10 metara visoki centar koji je u NBA ligi ukupno odigrao 118 utakmica i zabio 341 koš.

Okušao se i u Europi, a nakon prekida karijere radio je kao dostavljač, skladištar, te prodavač namještaja.

Vaughn je priznao kako se hrani u javnim kuhinjama, higijenu održava u fitnes centru, a spava u svom automobilu. Kada će napuniti 48 godina imat će pravo na NBA mirovinu, a do tada se nada nekoj pomoći.

Bivši košarkaš Orlando Magica, Golden State Warriorsa, Chicago Bullsa i New Jersey Netsa, David Vaughn (36) potrošio je sav novac koji je zaradio u NBA ligi i sada živi kao beskućnik u svom automobilu Chevrolet Impala u Orlandu.

Kako prenose američki mediji Vaughn je igrao u NBA ligi četiri sezone, od 1995. do 1999. godine i zaradio je oko 2.5 milijuna dolara, međutim sve je potrošio na luksuzne kuće, skupocjene automobile i nepouzdane investicije.

Kupio je kuće u Orlandu i Nashvilleu, te šest automobila - dva Yukona, te Corvettu, Mercedes, Range Rover i Lexus. Kada je zapao u dugove sve je rasprodao.

"Bio sam naivan i glup. Bacao sam novac u vjetar, no sada je kasno za kajanje. Živio sam kao da sutra ne postoji, žao mi je što nisam živio skromnije," kazao je 2.10 metara visoki centar koji je u NBA ligi ukupno odigrao 118 utakmica i zabio 341 koš.

Okušao se i u Europi, a nakon prekida karijere radio je kao dostavljač, skladištar, te prodavač namještaja.

Vaughn je priznao kako se hrani u javnim kuhinjama, higijenu održava u fitnes centru, a spava u svom automobilu. Kada će napuniti 48 godina imat će pravo na NBA mirovinu, a do tada se nada nekoj pomoći.
