U sezoni smo kestenja i sad ćemo se do mile volje nauživati tih slasnih jesenskih plodova. No, hoćemo li zaista? Naime, kako smo nedavno pisali, ove su godine dosegli neslućeno visoke cijene, što je jedan problem, a drugi je u tome da se, barem kako se čini, više nikome ne da gnjaviti s njihovom pripremom. Zna li uopće više itko kako skuhati, ispeći i oguliti kestene bez pretjerane muke? Sudeći po tome koliko je popularan gotovi kesten pire, odgovor je lako naslutiti.

No gotovi kesten pire nije isto što i domaći. Za početak, pun je aditiva i šećera, a o svježini mu možemo samo nagađati. Zato ćemo vam otkriti nekoliko savjeta za pripremu kestenja kako bismo vas uvjerili da to ne mora biti baš tako težak i mukotrpan zadatak kao što možda mislite.

Mnogi tvrde da je kuhanje najlakši način pripreme ovih plodova, jer sve što treba napraviti je staviti ih u lonac pun hladne, blago pospoljene vode. Ako kesteni nisu osobito krupni, bit će gotovi već za pola sata. I tada nastupa zahtjevniji dio zadatka: ljuštenje.

Evo vam odmah mali trik: ljuštenje će vam lakše poći za rukom ako kestene najprije, dok je još vruće, zamotate u vlažnu krpu i ostavite da odstoji tako zamotano nekoliko minuta. 

Mnogi tvrde da je najukusnije kestenje pečeno na roštilju ali nekako sumnjamo da ćete samo zbog toga paliti vatru i stoga vam skrećemo pažnju da je za pripremu manje količine kestena zgodna i dobro zagrijana tava. Za ovu metodu bitno ih je prethodno zarezati u križ, a tavu treba pokriti i povremeno protresti.

Moderna vremena nose moderne metode pa je trenutno na cijeni i pečenje u mikrovalnoj pećnici. Za ovu metodu kestene treba zarezati, a pećnicu zagrijati na maksimalnu temperaturu. Kad počnu cvrčiti gotovi su, a to se obično dogodi kroz pet minuta.

Pripremiti ih možete i u klasičnoj pećnici, a za taj pothvat najbolje ih je zarezati u križ i poškropiti vodom. Pećnica treba biti na maksimalnoj temperaturi, a vrijeme pečenja ovisi o veličini plodova, no obično su gotovi za 10 do 20 minuta.

U sezoni smo kestenja i sad ćemo se do mile volje nauživati tih slasnih jesenskih plodova. No, hoćemo li zaista? Naime, kako smo nedavno pisali, ove su godine dosegli neslućeno visoke cijene, što je jedan problem, a drugi je u tome da se, barem kako se čini, više nikome ne da gnjaviti s njihovom pripremom. Zna li uopće više itko kako skuhati, ispeći i oguliti kestene bez pretjerane muke? Sudeći po tome koliko je popularan gotovi kesten pire, odgovor je lako naslutiti.

No gotovi kesten pire nije isto što i domaći. Za početak, pun je aditiva i šećera, a o svježini mu možemo samo nagađati. Zato ćemo vam otkriti nekoliko savjeta za pripremu kestenja kako bismo vas uvjerili da to ne mora biti baš tako težak i mukotrpan zadatak kao što možda mislite.

Mnogi tvrde da je kuhanje najlakši način pripreme ovih plodova, jer sve što treba napraviti je staviti ih u lonac pun hladne, blago pospoljene vode. Ako kesteni nisu osobito krupni, bit će gotovi već za pola sata. I tada nastupa zahtjevniji dio zadatka: ljuštenje.

Evo vam odmah mali trik: ljuštenje će vam lakše poći za rukom ako kestene najprije, dok je još vruće, zamotate u vlažnu krpu i ostavite da odstoji tako zamotano nekoliko minuta. 

Mnogi tvrde da je najukusnije kestenje pečeno na roštilju ali nekako sumnjamo da ćete samo zbog toga paliti vatru i stoga vam skrećemo pažnju da je za pripremu manje količine kestena zgodna i dobro zagrijana tava. U sezoni smo kestenja i sad ćemo se do mile volje nauživati tih slasnih jesenskih plodova. No, hoćemo li zaista? Naime, kako smo nedavno pisali, ove su godine dosegli neslućeno visoke cijene, što je jedan problem, a drugi je u tome da se, barem kako se čini, više nikome ne da gnjaviti s njihovom pripremom. Zna li uopće više itko kako skuhati, ispeći i oguliti kestene bez pretjerane muke? Sudeći po tome koliko je popularan gotovi kesten pire, odgovor je lako naslutiti.

No gotovi kesten pire nije isto što i domaći. Za početak, pun je aditiva i šećera, a o svježini mu možemo samo nagađati. Zato ćemo vam otkriti nekoliko savjeta za pripremu kestenja kako bismo vas uvjerili da to ne mora biti baš tako težak i mukotrpan zadatak kao što možda mislite.

Mnogi tvrde da je kuhanje najlakši način pripreme ovih plodova, jer sve što treba napraviti je staviti ih u lonac pun hladne, blago pospoljene vode. Ako kesteni nisu osobito krupni, bit će gotovi već za pola sata. I tada nastupa zahtjevniji dio zadatka: ljuštenje.

Evo vam odmah mali trik: ljuštenje će vam lakše poći za rukom ako kestene najprije, dok je još vruće, zamotate u vlažnu krpu i ostavite da odstoji tako zamotano nekoliko minuta.
