Javna ustanova Priroda Šibensko – kninske Šibenčane i goste grada ove subote vodi u interpretacijsku šetnju kanalom svetog Ante.

Naime, u Šibeniku ovaj tjedan počinje 3. festival prirode Flora Dalmatica u organizaciji istoimene inicijative čiji rad, među ostalim, podržavaju Grad Šibenik, Turistička zajednica Grada Šibenika i Javna ustanova Nacionalni park Krka. Osim u Šibeniku, program će se održati u Drnišu, Vodicama i Tisnom.

Cijeli program bit će predstavljen u petak, 5. travnja, na konferenciji za medije s početkom u 11 sati u klubu Azimut, u Šibeniku. Odmah nakon toga, u Azimutu će biti otvorena izložba fotografija „Robertova Padova” članova Fotokluba Šibenik čime će i službeno početi treća Flora Dalmatica. Već sutradan, u subotu, 6. travnja, član inicijative JU Prirode Šibensko – kninske županije, Šibenčane i sve ostale vode u interpretativnu šetnju kroz kanal svetog Ante.

Okupljanje je u uvali Škar s početkom u 10 sati, gdje će zainteresirane sudionike šetnje dočekati interpretator. Šetnja po kanalu trajat će otprilike dva sata. Nisu potrebne prethodne prijave, dovoljno je doći na vrijeme na mjesto okupljanja, a taj će dan za sudionike šetnje biti osiguran i besplatan ulaz u Posjetiteljski centar Kanal sv. Ante uz stručno vodstvo.

Zaštićeni krajobraz „Kanal – Luka“ nastajao je desecima tisuća godina – nekad kopneno područje na kojem je svoj kanjon usjekla rijeka Krka, podizanjem razine mora pretvorilo se u estuarij kojeg danas nastanjuju morske vrste (više od 50 vrsta školjkaša, velik broj različitih riba, beskralješnjaka, algi, cvjetnica). Kopno uz estuarij dom je šumama alepskoga bora i hrasta crnike, te biljkama i životinjama čiji broj iznosi više stotina vrsta. Područje se nalazi na popisu ekološke mreže Natura 2000 Europske unije.

Prirodni kanal pružao je osjećaj sigurnosti ljudima. Budući da tvori uzak morski put do dna zaljeva nije čudo da su ljudi ovdje sagradili jedan od najljepših srednjovjekovnih gradova na istočnoj obali Jadrana. Radi dodatne kontrole, na ulasku u kanal u 16. je stoljeću izgrađena tvrđava jedinstvenog oblika koja je danas pod zaštitom UNESCO-a. U Šibeniku je u 16. stoljeću dovršena i izgradnja katedrale koja je zbog izuzetne arhitektonske vrijednosti također pod zaštitom UNESCOa. U prirodnom skrovištu kanala, spilji koja je smještena na njegovim liticama, svoj su prostor mira i kontemplacije pronašli pustinjaci i pretvorili ga u crkvicu sv. Antuna Opata (Pustinjaka). Kanal sv. Ante, čiju su bezvremensku ljepotu cijenili već srednjovjekovni duhovnjaci koji su mu dali ime, tako povezuje dva najljepša arhitektonska spomenika na području Šibensko – kninske županije, oba na popisu svjetske baštine.

Područje danas zaštićenog dijela prirode (proglašeno zaštićenim 1974. godine) čovjek je tijekom povijesti obogatio velebnim djelima, prepustivši najveći dio estuarija kopnenim i morskim vrstama kao dragocjenim susjedima. Svoje bi djelovanje u budućnosti trebao nastaviti na isti način - podržavati biološku, geološku, krajobraznu i kulturnu raznolikost, promicati sve njihove vrijednosti i raditi na njihovu očuvanju.

Javna ustanova Priroda Šibensko – kninske Šibenčane i goste grada ove subote vodi u interpretacijsku šetnju kanalom svetog Ante.

Naime, u Šibeniku ovaj tjedan počinje 3. festival prirode Flora Dalmatica u organizaciji istoimene inicijative čiji rad, među ostalim, podržavaju Grad Šibenik, Turistička zajednica Grada Šibenika i Javna ustanova Nacionalni park Krka. Osim u Šibeniku, program će se održati u Drnišu, Vodicama i Tisnom.

Cijeli program bit će predstavljen u petak, 5. travnja, na konferenciji za medije s početkom u 11 sati u klubu Azimut, u Šibeniku. Odmah nakon toga, u Azimutu će biti otvorena izložba fotografija „Robertova Padova” članova Fotokluba Šibenik čime će i službeno početi treća Flora Dalmatica. Već sutradan, u subotu, 6. travnja, član inicijative JU Prirode Šibensko – kninske županije, Šibenčane i sve ostale vode u interpretativnu šetnju kroz kanal svetog Ante.

Okupljanje je u uvali Škar s početkom u 10 sati, gdje će zainteresirane sudionike šetnje dočekati interpretator. Šetnja po kanalu trajat će otprilike dva sata. Nisu potrebne prethodne prijave, dovoljno je doći na vrijeme na mjesto okupljanja, a taj će dan za sudionike šetnje biti osiguran i besplatan ulaz u Posjetiteljski centar Kanal sv. Ante uz stručno vodstvo.

Zaštićeni krajobraz „Kanal – Luka“ nastajao je desecima tisuća godina – nekad kopneno područje na kojem je svoj kanjon usjekla rijeka Krka, podizanjem razine mora pretvorilo se u estuarij kojeg danas nastanjuju morske vrste (više od 50 vrsta školjkaša, velik broj različitih riba, beskralješnjaka, algi, cvjetnica). Kopno uz estuarij dom je šumama alepskoga bora i hrasta crnike, te biljkama i životinjama čiji broj iznosi više stotina vrsta. Područje se nalazi na popisu ekološke mreže Natura 2000 Europske unije.

Prirodni kanal pružao je osjećaj sigurnosti ljudima. Budući da tvori uzak morski put do dna zaljeva nije čudo da su ljudi ovdje sagradili jedan od najljepših srednjovjekovnih gradova na istočnoj obali Jadrana. Radi dodatne kontrole, na ulasku u kanal u 16. je stoljeću izgrađena tvrđava jedinstvenog oblika koja je danas pod zaštitom UNESCO-a. U Šibeniku je u 16. stoljeću dovršena i izgradnja katedrale koja je zbog izuzetne arhitektonske vrijednosti također pod zaštitom UNESCOa. U prirodnom skrovištu kanala, spilji koja je smještena na njegovim liticama, svoj su prostor mira i kontemplacije pronašli pustinjaci i pretvorili ga u crkvicu sv. Antuna Opata (Pustinjaka). Kanal sv. Ante, čiju su bezvremensku ljepotu cijenili već srednjovjekovni duhovnjaci koji su mu dali ime, tako povezuje dva najljepša arhitektonska spomenika na području Šibensko – kninske županije, oba na popisu svjetske baštine.

Područje danas zaštićenog dijela prirode (proglašeno zaštićenim 1974. godine) čovjek je tijekom povijesti obogatio velebnim djelima, prepustivši najveći dio estuarija kopnenim i morskim vrstama kao dragocjenim susjedima. Svoje bi djelovanje u budućnosti trebao nastaviti na isti način - podržavati biološku, geološku, krajobraznu i kulturnu raznolikost, promicati sve njihove vrijednosti i raditi na njihovu očuvanju.

Javna ustanova Priroda Šibensko – kninske Šibenčane i goste grada ove subote vodi u interpretacijsku šetnju kanalom svetog Ante.

Naime, u Šibeniku ovaj tjedan počinje 3. festival prirode Flora Dalmatica u organizaciji istoimene inicijative čiji rad, među ostalim, podržavaju Grad Šibenik, Turistička zajednica Grada Šibenika i Javna ustanova Nacionalni park Krka. Osim u Šibeniku, program će se održati u Drnišu, Vodicama i Tisnom.

Cijeli program bit će predstavljen u petak, 5. travnja, na konferenciji za medije s početkom u 11 sati u klubu Azimut, u Šibeniku. Odmah nakon toga, u Azimutu će biti otvorena izložba fotografija „Robertova Padova” članova Fotokluba Šibenik čime će i službeno početi treća Flora Dalmatica. Već sutradan, u subotu, 6. travnja, član inicijative JU Prirode Šibensko – kninske županije, Šibenčane i sve ostale vode u interpretativnu šetnju kroz kanal svetog Ante.

Okupljanje je u uvali Škar s početkom u 10 sati, gdje će zainteresirane sudionike šetnje dočekati interpretator. Šetnja po kanalu trajat će otprilike dva sata.
