Ekipa istraživača Plavog svijeta, na moru je, zapadno od otoka Lošinja i Ilovika pronašla mladu glavatu želvu s progutanom udicom.

Kako su kazali, nesretnoj kornjači je iz usta izlazila gotovo 6 metara dugačka ribarska struna koja predstavlja smrtonosnu opasnost ako je morska kornjača proguta ili ako se u nju zapetlja.

- U slučaju pronalaska morske kornjače s progutanom udicom potrebno je odrezati strunu što bliže ustima i obavijestiti oporavilište za morske kornjače kako bi se pristupilo uklanjanju udice. Upravo s tim ciljem ova je jedinka, nazvana Tin, prevezena u Pulu gdje će biti obavljen kirurški zahvat uklanjanja udice iz jednjaka - kazali su.

Kornjača je sigurno poslana u pulski akvarij gdje je RTG snimkom utvrđena točna pozicija (intracelomni dio jednjaka). Tin se trenutno nalazi na jedinici intenzivne njege te čeka operativni zahvat.

Inače, kornjača je dužine 39 cm, težine 6.9 kg i starosti oko 3 godine.

Ekipa istraživača Plavog svijeta, na moru je, zapadno od otoka Lošinja i Ilovika pronašla mladu glavatu želvu s progutanom udicom.

Kako su kazali, nesretnoj kornjači je iz usta izlazila gotovo 6 metara dugačka ribarska struna koja predstavlja smrtonosnu opasnost ako je morska kornjača proguta ili ako se u nju zapetlja.

- U slučaju pronalaska morske kornjače s progutanom udicom potrebno je odrezati strunu što bliže ustima i obavijestiti oporavilište za morske kornjače kako bi se pristupilo uklanjanju udice. Upravo s tim ciljem ova je jedinka, nazvana Tin, prevezena u Pulu gdje će biti obavljen kirurški zahvat uklanjanja udice iz jednjaka - kazali su.

Kornjača je sigurno poslana u pulski akvarij gdje je RTG snimkom utvrđena točna pozicija (intracelomni dio jednjaka). Tin se trenutno nalazi na jedinici intenzivne njege te čeka operativni zahvat.

Inače, kornjača je dužine 39 cm, težine 6.9 kg i starosti oko 3 godine.
