Znanstvenici s Biološkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i ove godine provode godišnji monitoring koraligenske zajednice NP Mljet, objavio je NP Mljet na svojoj internetskon stranici.

Cilj ovog višegodišnjeg istraživanja je sustavno praćenje ekološkog stanja zajednice koralja i ostalih bentonskih vrsta koraligenske zajednice unutar NP Mljet.

Podvodnim istraživanjima prikupljaju se podaci o brojnost ciljanih vrsta, raznolikosti vrsta unutar biocenoza te njihovoj horizontalnoj i vertikalnoj distribuciji s naglaskom na ekološke odnose i posljedice utjecaja globalnih klimatskih promjena.

Na području NP Mljet zabilježeno je 56 vrsta koralja, od kojih je 38 ugroženih vrsta te pet strogo zaštićenih vrsta u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Zbog specifičnih uvjeta, u mljetskom Velikom jezeru nalazi se najveći greben busenastog koralja Cladocora caespitosa u Sredozemnom moru, čije se ekološko stanje pomno prati.

Posebna pažnja posvećena je vrstama značajnima u zaštiti prirode u koje, osim spomenutog busenastog koralja, spadaju hvarski koralj Madracis pharensis, široka čaška Balanophyllia europaea, žuta čaška Leptosammia pruvoti te crveni koralj Corallium rubrum za koje se detaljno provode praćenja dinamika populacija.

Znanstvenici s Biološkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i ove godine provode godišnji monitoring koraligenske zajednice NP Mljet, objavio je NP Mljet na svojoj internetskon stranici.

Cilj ovog višegodišnjeg istraživanja je sustavno praćenje ekološkog stanja zajednice koralja i ostalih bentonskih vrsta koraligenske zajednice unutar NP Mljet.

Podvodnim istraživanjima prikupljaju se podaci o brojnost ciljanih vrsta, raznolikosti vrsta unutar biocenoza te njihovoj horizontalnoj i vertikalnoj distribuciji s naglaskom na ekološke odnose i posljedice utjecaja globalnih klimatskih promjena.

Na području NP Mljet zabilježeno je 56 vrsta koralja, od kojih je 38 ugroženih vrsta te pet strogo zaštićenih vrsta u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Zbog specifičnih uvjeta, u mljetskom Velikom jezeru nalazi se najveći greben busenastog koralja Cladocora caespitosa u Sredozemnom moru, čije se ekološko stanje pomno prati.

Posebna pažnja posvećena je vrstama značajnima u zaštiti prirode u koje, osim spomenutog busenastog koralja, spadaju hvarski koralj Madracis pharensis, široka čaška Balanophyllia europaea, žuta čaška Leptosammia pruvoti te crveni koralj Corallium rubrum za koje se detaljno provode praćenja dinamika populacija.

Znanstvenici s Biološkog odsjeka Prirodoslovno-matematičkog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i ove godine provode godišnji monitoring koraligenske zajednice NP Mljet, objavio je NP Mljet na svojoj internetskon stranici.

Cilj ovog višegodišnjeg istraživanja je sustavno praćenje ekološkog stanja zajednice koralja i ostalih bentonskih vrsta koraligenske zajednice unutar NP Mljet.

Podvodnim istraživanjima prikupljaju se podaci o brojnost ciljanih vrsta, raznolikosti vrsta unutar biocenoza te njihovoj horizontalnoj i vertikalnoj distribuciji s naglaskom na ekološke odnose i posljedice utjecaja globalnih klimatskih promjena.

Na području NP Mljet zabilježeno je 56 vrsta koralja, od kojih je 38 ugroženih vrsta te pet strogo zaštićenih vrsta u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Zbog specifičnih uvjeta, u mljetskom Velikom jezeru nalazi se najveći greben busenastog koralja Cladocora caespitosa u Sredozemnom moru, čije se ekološko stanje pomno prati.

Posebna pažnja posvećena je vrstama značajnima u zaštiti prirode u koje, osim spomenutog busenastog koralja, spadaju hvarski koralj Madracis pharensis, široka čaška Balanophyllia europaea, žuta čaška Leptosammia pruvoti te crveni koralj Corallium rubrum za koje se detaljno provode praćenja dinamika populacija.
