Egipatske vlasti ne isključuju tehničke probleme ili ljudsku pogrešku kao uzrok nasukavanja golemog teretnog broda koji blokira Sueski kanal, jedan od najprometnijih plovnih puteva.
Brod Ever Given, koji plovi pod panamskom zastavom, skrenuo je u utorak s kursa na uskom dijelu kanala tijekom pješčane oluje.
Brod dugačak 400 metara bio je na putu iz Kine prema Rotterdamu.
Šef Uprave Sueskog kanala (SCA) Osama Rabae u subotu je rekao da snažni vjetar i pješčana oluja nisu jedini uzroci nasukavanja broda.
"Tako složeni problem podrazumijeva nekoliko čimbenika. Može biti da je došlo do nekog tehničkog problema ili ljudske pogreške. Ne mogu utvrditi točan uzrok sve dok se istraga ne privede kraju", rekao je Rabae.
Objasnio je da sama veličina broda otežava napore da ga se ponovo porine u more te da cijelu akciju otežava i plima te tvrdo, stjenovito tlo na kojem je brod zaglavio.
Nije znao reći kada bi mogli pomaknuti brod i omogućiti prolaz ostalim brodovima. Trenutno na prolaz Sueskim kanalom čeka 320 brodova.
Rabae je kazao da će ponovo pokušati pomaknuti Ever Given uz pomoć tegljača, iako ta operacija prije dva dana nije dala rezultata.

Tada je u nastojanju da se brod makne sudjelovalo osam divovskih tegljača. Postoji i mogućnost da se makne teret s broda kako bi ga se "olakšalo" za porinuće.
Procjenjuje se da je zbog blokade svaki dan na čekanju roba u vrijednosti 9,6 milijardi dolara. Kroz Sueski kanal se odvija oko 12 posto globalne trgovine.
Sueski kanal, dug 193 kilometra, povezuje Sredozemno i Crveno more i najkraći je plovni put između Azije i Europe.
Svake godine kroz njega prođe najmanje 18.000 plovila.
Sueski kanal jedan je od glavnih egipatskih izvora prihoda, uz turizam i novčane doznake iseljenika. Godine 2015., Egipat je otvorio 35-kilometarski produžetak koji prolazi paralelno uz povijesni kanal otvoren 1869. godine.
Produžetak omogućuje dvosmjerni promet uz prethodno jednosmjerni kanal te je osmišljen da smanji vrijeme čekanja plovila.
Egipatske vlasti su predvidjele da će novi prolaz povećati godišnji prohod Sueskog kanala s pet milijardi dolara na 13 milijardi dolara do 2023. godine.
Prihodi od dozvola za prolaz prošle su godine dosegli 5,6 milijardi američkih dolara.

Brod Ever Given, koji plovi pod panamskom zastavom, skrenuo je u utorak s kursa na uskom dijelu kanala tijekom pješčane oluje.
Brod dugačak 400 metara bio je na putu iz Kine prema Rotterdamu.
Šef Uprave Sueskog kanala (SCA) Osama Rabae u subotu je rekao da snažni vjetar i pješčana oluja nisu jedini uzroci nasukavanja broda.
"Tako složeni problem podrazumijeva nekoliko čimbenika. Može biti da je došlo do nekog tehničkog problema ili ljudske pogreške. Ne mogu utvrditi točan uzrok sve dok se istraga ne privede kraju", rekao je Rabae.
Objasnio je da sama veličina broda otežava napore da ga se ponovo porine u more te da cijelu akciju otežava i plima te tvrdo, stjenovito tlo na kojem je brod zaglavio.
Nije znao reći kada bi mogli pomaknuti brod i omogućiti prolaz ostalim brodovima. Trenutno na prolaz Sueskim kanalom čeka 320 brodova.
Rabae je kazao da će ponovo pokušati pomaknuti Ever Given uz pomoć tegljača, iako ta operacija prije dva dana nije dala rezultata.

Tada je u nastojanju da se brod makne sudjelovalo osam divovskih tegljača. Postoji i mogućnost da se makne teret s broda kako bi ga se "olakšalo" za porinuće.
Procjenjuje se da je zbog blokade svaki dan na čekanju roba u vrijednosti 9,6 milijardi dolara. Kroz Sueski kanal se odvija oko 12 posto globalne trgovine.
Sueski kanal, dug 193 kilometra, povezuje Sredozemno i Crveno more i najkraći je plovni put između Azije i Europe.
Svake godine kroz njega prođe najmanje 18.000 plovila.
Sueski kanal jedan je od glavnih egipatskih izvora prihoda, uz turizam i novčane doznake iseljenika. Godine 2015., Egipat je otvorio 35-kilometarski produžetak koji prolazi paralelno uz povijesni kanal otvoren 1869. godine.
Produžetak omogućuje dvosmjerni promet uz prethodno jednosmjerni kanal te je osmišljen da smanji vrijeme čekanja plovila.
Egipatske vlasti su predvidjele da će novi prolaz povećati godišnji prohod Sueskog kanala s pet milijardi dolara na 13 milijardi dolara do 2023. godine.
Prihodi od dozvola za prolaz prošle su godine dosegli 5,6 milijardi američkih dolara.
