Američki ured danskog brodara Maerska mora isplatiti više od 700.000 dolara odštete prvom časniku koji je dobio otkaz nakon što je američkoj Obalnoj straži prijavio nedostatke na kontejnerskom brodu Maersk Tennessee (ex: Safmarine Mafadi), odlučila je američka Agencija za zaštitu na radu (Occupational Safety and Health Administration – OSHA), prenosi portal pomorac.hr.

Nakon razmirica s kapetanom oko navodne konzumacije alkohola na brodu, prvi časnik broda Safmarine Mafadi je 29. prosinca 2020. odlučio obavijestiti obalnu stražu o stanju broda. Prema riječima prvog časnika, dijelovi opreme brodica za spašavanje bili su neispravni, članovi posade su konzumirali ili posjedovali alkohol, protupožarna pumpa za hitne slučajeve nije funkcionirala, vježbenici (kadeti) ostajali su sami na straži bez nadzora, a kaljužni sustav u teretnom prostoru izazivao je poplave, prenosi The Maritime Executive.

Inspekcijski tim Obalne straže istog dana stigao je na brod, gdje su zabilježili curenje u glavnom protupožarnom vodu, napuknuća sigurnosne ograde i nedostatke na brodicama za spašavanje koje trebalo zamijeniti.

Odmah po završetku inspekcije, zapovjednik je suspendirao prvog časnika i naredio mu da napusti brod, navodi OSHA. Časnik je tri mjeseca kasnije dobio otkaz jer je prijavio probleme Obalnoj straži "bez da je probleme raspravio s nadzornikom te Fleet Group i Marine Standards timovima", čime je prekršio pisana pravila kompanije.

Agencija OSHA je presudila da ova politika Maersk Line Limiteda i odluka o uručenju otkaza prvom časniku krše američki Zakon o zaštiti pomoraca. Zakon dopušta pomorcima na trgovačkim brodovima da američkoj Obalnoj straži prijave probleme na brodovima pod zastavom SAD-a, bez prethodne konzultacije s internim timovima kompanije – čak i ako kompanija to zabrani.

Američki ured danskog brodara Maerska mora isplatiti više od 700.000 dolara odštete prvom časniku koji je dobio otkaz nakon što je američkoj Obalnoj straži prijavio nedostatke na kontejnerskom brodu Maersk Tennessee (ex: Safmarine Mafadi), odlučila je američka Agencija za zaštitu na radu (Occupational Safety and Health Administration – OSHA), prenosi portal pomorac.hr.

Nakon razmirica s kapetanom oko navodne konzumacije alkohola na brodu, prvi časnik broda Safmarine Mafadi je 29. prosinca 2020. odlučio obavijestiti obalnu stražu o stanju broda. Prema riječima prvog časnika, dijelovi opreme brodica za spašavanje bili su neispravni, članovi posade su konzumirali ili posjedovali alkohol, protupožarna pumpa za hitne slučajeve nije funkcionirala, vježbenici (kadeti) ostajali su sami na straži bez nadzora, a kaljužni sustav u teretnom prostoru izazivao je poplave, prenosi The Maritime Executive.

Inspekcijski tim Obalne straže istog dana stigao je na brod, gdje su zabilježili curenje u glavnom protupožarnom vodu, napuknuća sigurnosne ograde i nedostatke na brodicama za spašavanje koje trebalo zamijeniti.

Odmah po završetku inspekcije, zapovjednik je suspendirao prvog časnika i naredio mu da napusti brod, navodi OSHA. Časnik je tri mjeseca kasnije dobio otkaz jer je prijavio probleme Obalnoj straži "bez da je probleme raspravio s nadzornikom te Fleet Group i Marine Standards timovima", čime je prekršio pisana pravila kompanije.

Agencija OSHA je presudila da ova politika Maersk Line Limiteda i odluka o uručenju otkaza prvom časniku krše američki Zakon o zaštiti pomoraca. Zakon dopušta pomorcima na trgovačkim brodovima da američkoj Obalnoj straži prijave probleme na brodovima pod zastavom SAD-a, bez prethodne konzultacije s internim timovima kompanije – čak i ako kompanija to zabrani.

Američki ured danskog brodara Maerska mora isplatiti više od 700.000 dolara odštete prvom časniku koji je dobio otkaz nakon što je američkoj Obalnoj straži prijavio nedostatke na kontejnerskom brodu Maersk Tennessee (ex: Safmarine Mafadi), odlučila je američka Agencija za zaštitu na radu (Occupational Safety and Health Administration – OSHA), prenosi portal pomorac.hr.

Nakon razmirica s kapetanom oko navodne konzumacije alkohola na brodu, prvi časnik broda Safmarine Mafadi je 29. prosinca 2020. odlučio obavijestiti obalnu stražu o stanju broda. Prema riječima prvog časnika, dijelovi opreme brodica za spašavanje bili su neispravni, članovi posade su konzumirali ili posjedovali alkohol, protupožarna pumpa za hitne slučajeve nije funkcionirala, vježbenici (kadeti) ostajali su sami na straži bez nadzora, a kaljužni sustav u teretnom prostoru izazivao je poplave, prenosi The Maritime Executive.

Inspekcijski tim Obalne straže istog dana stigao je na brod, gdje su zabilježili curenje u glavnom protupožarnom vodu, napuknuća sigurnosne ograde i nedostatke na brodicama za spašavanje koje trebalo zamijeniti.

Odmah po završetku inspekcije, zapovjednik je suspendirao prvog časnika i naredio mu da napusti brod, navodi OSHA. Časnik je tri mjeseca kasnije dobio otkaz jer je prijavio probleme Obalnoj straži "bez da je probleme raspravio s nadzornikom te Fleet Group i Marine Standards timovima", čime je prekršio pisana pravila kompanije.

Agencija OSHA je presudila da ova politika Maersk Line Limiteda i odluka o uručenju otkaza prvom časniku krše američki Zakon o zaštiti pomoraca. Zakon dopušta pomorcima na trgovačkim brodovima da američkoj Obalnoj straži prijave probleme na brodovima pod zastavom SAD-a, bez prethodne konzultacije s internim timovima kompanije – čak i ako kompanija to zabrani.
